The Wyndam was very close to the train station we arrived in and the Cathedral that we came to see in Cologne so it was nice to have a home base that was close to everything we needed. Check-in was great, the receptionist spoke English and even recommended some places for us to go. They had water and snacks in the lobby that you could grab on your way out the door. The room itself was a great price for what it offered and the location. Very simple room but it had everything we needed.

The traffic was loud - but that's the price you pay for being located right in the center of things. I also thought the carpeted floor looked pretty gross in our room. There wasn't much else wrong with the room though. Overall it was good.

Perfect location, rooms were very clean and comfy .

We stayed for 4 nights. The TV went off 2 days before we left , we rang reception and the receptionist said she would look into it and let us know . Next morning we still hadn’t heard so asked reception again to be told they would be off again all day and engineer would be out the next day ( when we were leaving) We were offered some snacks as compensation but we weren’t sure how that would help. Also one of the lifts were off for the whole time we were there which was very inconvenient as we were on the 7th floor.

Great location, great hotel, huge comfortable rooms, water, tea coffee etc provided. Iron, hairdryer all included as standard. We also had an early flight home so being so close to the station and the S19 line platform for the airport was perfect.

The aircon didn't have instructions, it was working though and the room was cool which was needed so not really anything not to like, if there was a problem I could have easily asked.

Perfect location, it’s walking distance to the cathedral and a great view from the hotel room, it’s a 5 min walk to the Rhine River and old town which has lots of restaurants and bars, hotel is opposite the railway station (surprisingly very quiet), the hotel is also close to local bars, restaurants and cafes- rooms are clean and a decent size for two people with large luggage

The only thing missing is a little fridge

The receptionist was very kind to us and explained were we can park the car and also he brings a bed for our child for free. The rooms are bigger than expected and equipped with everything you need. The beds linen and mattresses are very very comfortable. We slept really well there. Its quite in the room even with opened windows. Thank you.

Breakfast was a bit expensive. With half money you can eat outside some coffee with sandwiches.

Although I thought the price of the breakfast was quite expensive it was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The coffee was strong, hot and unlimited. Perfect for a long day out at the markets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice touch of water and apples in the foyer. Complementary water in our rooms was lovely as well as the slippers... Little touches made our stay more comfortable.

The hotel had a classic vibe. My room was cosy, with a full-wall window at the end of the room overlooking the station. There was also a long desk to put work equipment on. It was also very close to the centre.

It's not the hotel's fault, but the area of the station can be intimidating, especially at night, with many random people passing by. So be aware of your environment.

Location was excellent. Just outside the Cologne Hbf. Room was small but had everything you need including tea and coffee facilities.

Due to its location, it was very loud. There was constant sirens going off throughout both nights. Breakfast was very overpriced. €17 for 1 day. There are other shops over the road to go and get a coffee and a croissant for a couple of euros.

The room was exactly what we were expecting from reading reviews and looking through pictures online. It was very central and convenient which is what we needed. I liked how safe the process was to get into the hotel and then our rooms.

The elevator was small and kind of scary. We used the stairs most times.

Great Hotel. It was my second time staying here. I love it! It is literally half a minute's walk from the hbf. So practical. The rooms are good, and spacious and you get free water bottles in your room. The view of the cathedral is amazing. This time, the radiator in our room wasn't working so we had to change our room and the hotel gave us a free upgrade as an apology. I would always stay here whenever I am in Koln.

Nothing to complain
