11/10 This place is amazing! When we arrived Giovanni was there to greet us at the gate, he is lovely and any questions you have he was there to answer, he is very knowledgeable about the area including varenna and bellagio. we came with no itinerary and from his recommendations both our days were packed with things to see and do. the room is very nice, air condition runs constantly and the view from our little balcony partially overlooked the lake, bed and showers were perfectly fine, however the common area on the roof was perfect for relaxing. We loved staying in bellano as it was a bit more quiet then varenna and lots cheaper, it provided more of a local feel to our experience but with easy public transport to the more popular destinations (by a single train or ferry) you won’t regret staying here, would recommend to any age group. there’s also bicycles free of charge to use, we would cycle to the town in 2mins and sit by the water eating takeaway pasta.

The host (Jovani) was easy to reach via the booking platform, and then when we arrived he met us, gave us a tour, and provided his cell phone number so we could reach him easily about anything. He was very nice and helpful, providing tips for the city, recommendations of where to go, etc. The property was nice, and well located. It is across the street from a public beach, and they even provided chairs, umbrellas, and other stuff to borrow to bring to the beach. The property also includes bicycles you can use for free as well! It is only a 10-15 minute walk from the main town of Bellano where there are many restaurants, etc. They do have a few parking spots available (since we did get a rental car). Our balcony in the room had a view of both the waterfall, as well as the lake. We kept the door open at night to hear the waterfall throughout the night, which was very nice. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Very easy change - in the future perhaps provide 'do not disturb' type door hangers to make sure the cleaning persons do not enter the room unexpectedly. We had one morning where someone opened the door to clean and we were still in the room. They quickly closed and locked the door when they heard our voices. They were very sorry, and it only happened once, but this could have been avoided. Otherwise-this stay and property were fantastic.

Giovanni was an exceptional host. He offered to give us a ride from Bellano train station to the apartment ,just about a 5 min drive. I loved how close were were to the lake just across the street. I loved that it was quieter, less crowded than Varenna or Bellagio. I loved that the apartment overall was updated/newer fixtures and furnishings. The balcony was nice and loved hearing the waterfall outside. The terrace was lovely, we would have enjoyed it if we stayed longer. We will be back!

For the same reason I liked how quiet it is, if you come by train, it is a 10 min walk to the town and restaurants, which was fine for the most part. We'd love to come back and would come by car next time.

This is a beautiful all new property! We booked the quadruple room as it was the only one left on the site even though there was only 2 of us. It was a bonus as we had the direct view across the road to the lake and lots of space. Everything about this property is great - quiet, comfy beds, great air con, big bathroom, balcony with sunset views over the lake, 1 min to the beach, parasols and deck chairs available to take to the beach, great bikes to cycle to town (5 mins), and a quiet mini fridge in the wardrobe. The walk into town is a very nice 15min route along the lakeside road and mostly on a path. The terrace on the roof is delightful too with the best view. We didn't have breakfast as we had to leave very early but Luca did direct us to the best bakery in town where we picked up the same amazing croissants and pastries that he gives his guests and they make the most delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. AND very importantly, Luca the host, will pick you up and drop you off at the train station in his car! Luca was so helpful and friendly throughout. Thank you Luca. IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: 1. The Orrido ravine is open 9am-7pm last entry around 6.30pm (NOT as some websites say 10am-10pm) 2. Trainnord strike sometimes - look out for this as the taxi journey from Milan will cost you €185! 3. For a bit of beach luxury, Bellano Lido is excellent for sun-shaded lakeside beach days in town (plus pool for the kids - take a bathing cap, they are compulsory, or pay €4 for one). It has great food too. 4. The public beach (Spiaggia) is adjacent to the Lido and only 5 mins walk along the promenade from the little pier/centre of town. 4. There is a luggage storage room in the town centre opposite the pier. Costs €1 per bag to deposit a bag in an automated locker and €1 to retrieve - card & cash payment. So grateful for this!

Nothing! Everything was fantastic and I totally recommend this property. It is a little walk from the centre of town but don't let that put you off. I would like to stay for longer next time and use the bikes to cycle more around the lake and take the ferry to other towns. Sundays are VERY busy in town in the summer and two of the best restaurants are closed on Mondays so ask Luca to recommend so you can book ahead.

We loved our stay in Bellano. The property is right across the street from a small public beach and I loved that the property had chairs and some floaties that we could use there. I was excited to use the bicycles, but the road is quite busy so we opted to ride them early in the morning when there was less traffic. We had a group of 8 and it was nice to be able to have rooms close together. The rooms were charming and clean. The property is wonderful--my favorite feature is the patio with a view. So beautiful! The town of Bellano is small. Things closed early and there weren't a lot of restaurant options, but we bought our own groceries and ate on the patio, which was so much better! Our stay here was so relaxing! We took the train from Bellano to Varenna and then took the ferry to Bellagio. We also visited the nearby waterfall orrido di bellano. It was nice, but nothing spectacular (compared to many we have seen.) There was a nearby cemetery that was fascinating to explore. We enjoyed visiting Bellagio and Varenna, but I think we enjoyed playing at the nearby beach just as much. Valle de Mulini was a great find. Our check in was easy and we felt very well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was massive and finished to an exceptionally high standard. Had a selection of little touches on the shelves like books and diffusers which made it feel nice and cosy. Nice big patio doors leading on to a private balcony overlooking the lake which was also great. This has a wind out canopy too in case of rain. The bathroom was also a good size with a very very good shower, nice and powerful Free bikes and sunloungers to use whilst you stay as well. Parking available on site for a small fee. Great location with just a ten minute walk in to Bellano mostly on proper footpaths. Definitely worth visiting Bellano really nice little town. Staff very friendly also. In summary we have stayed in four different properties during our week in como and this was by far the best in terms of physical accommodation. Definitely recommend

Honestly everything was good. No complaints.

Modern and tastefully furnished. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Great shower. 10 mins walk into town and there also bicycles you can use free of charge. Beach chairs and umbrellas also available to use . Walkable from the train station but Giovanni collected and delivered us back for a small fee which was appreciated!

I think putting a couple of small bottles of water in the room would be good. Water is safe to drink from tap apparently but isn’t nice.

10 minute walk from town, Bellano was lovely. Away from the crowds & throngs in the busier towns on Lake Como, perfectly situated for us as post-Como we were headed to Valpolicella, and they offered secure parking for 8 Euro/day. Host was friendly & accommodating( even stored my ice pack in his freezer), the room had a view of Lake Como from Balcony with table & chairs & a little loveseat situated alongside a babbling Brook feeding down to the lake from the Orrido di Bellano( well worth the 6 Euro admission! Was great!

Lovely hotel, feels like your own apartment, intimate, fantastic facilities, our host Giovanni was incredible and very helpful. There were bikes and beach equipment available to use as well as the lovely shared terrace. It was impeccably clean and comfortable. No complaints about the hotel at all.

The one downside is the walk to the town centre which is about 20-25 minutes. Although it is very scenic it can be some effort to walk here in the evenings or to get to the train station, but no fault of the hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay ! The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the city center, and just 1 min from a small beach. The room was very tidy and clean, and it had a private terrace that overlooked a waterfall and Lake como at the same time ! However, what truly set this hotel apart was the incredible kindness and hospitality of the hosts, especially Giovanni :)
