The location was perfect for me as i wanted to hike and stargaze at hastings country park. the property is only 5 mins drive. There are two supermarkets a couple of mins away to pick up provisions. Parking is on the street behind the property and i had no problem finding a spot. Checkin is easy via lockbox system with the access code provided by the host in advance. I booked a budget single room for fantastic value of GBP40 / night. It was compact but comfortable. Pleasantly impressed by the large window and hairdryer. The room faced a street but there was little traffic noise at night. The property was pretty full but there was hardly any noise from the other guests. The shared bathroom was modern, spotlessly clean and supplied with good quality shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. I never had to wait to use it. Able to request for extra towel and bathrobe from housekeeper without any fuss. The guest lounge is a clean, quiet place for me to work on my laptop and to have simple microwaved meals. There is plenty of tableware for me to prepare and eat my food. The drinking water provided was appreciated. Plesantly surprised that no cleaning up required - dirty tableware just needs to be put away on a trolley. A bonus is the easy to use sauna which i enjoyed. Would stay again if i am in hastings.
No much really. I had a large suitcase so would have like a little more space in my room but it would be fine for a single traveller with a compact suitcase. There are steps from the street to the main entrance and 2 flights of stairs to my bedroom but i had no problem with that.

This was only a one night stop for attending a family function and was basically just somewhere to sleep. The staff were very accommodating letting us in to drop off our bags etc. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were lucky to have family picking us up/ dropping us off etc. It might not have been so handy transport wise if this hadn't been the case. We flew down but normally would have had our own car. We would definitely stay here again.
Everything was suitable for our needs including the breakfast as we had an early start the next day and didn't have time for much to eat.Had we been staying later/ longer I think the option of a cooked breakfast would enhance the stay.

Very clean room, great location near to Hastings seafront, lots of shops nearby, facilities excellent, large bath in room was amazing. Great TV choices, sky available and lots of other apps. I would like to say Darren was a fantastic host. I booked quite last minute and Darren was so helpful. I proposed to my girlfriend and even though I only booked this property the day before; I asked Darren if I would be able to get some things for my room. He kindly collected balloons for me and also flowers that I had arranged at a florist, Darren went out of his way and collected all of this for me and decorated the room beautifully even with such short notice. Me and my fiancée loved our stay and will definitely be back. Thank you for helping make it even more special! Excellent place to stay!
Nothing - everything was great!

It was right on the bus and easy to get back and forth - it is a long walk otherwise. Darren, the host, is a congenial fellow and really goes out of his way to make sure people have what they need. It's a lovely place and I will definitely be back.
The next time I come, I will probably opt for a bigger room, one with a desk. I was completing some schoolwork and could have really used a desk. There wasn't one in my room, but the room would have been too small anyway. However, the guest lounge was open and airy and I was able to get my work done in comfort.

Spotlessly clean, lovely decor, amazingly peaceful, lovely view, great to make your own hot drinks in the dining room at leisure with real milk in the fridge (proper milk a big plus!). Love the fact you have access to store your own food in a fridge too. Great bathroom and lovely bed. Nice selection for breakfast if not doing the full Monty.
Nothing I didn’t ‘like’, but the only suggestion would be some real coffee at breakfast. I did notice in Morse that the bathroom towel rail may need bleeding as only the bottom 4 or 5 rungs got warm. Bit frustrating not having a full length mirror. The one above the fireplace was very high but not sure where else you could place one anyway!

This is one of those places you just feel so lucky to have found. Clean and comfortable and, with the super hospitality, it felt more like visiting a friend’s home than a guesthouse. Our room (Leeward) even had a huge TV with Sky - an added bonus that meant my other half could watch an important football match - and a door that leads directly onto the sun trap terrace. So many other amenities - a dining room where you can microwave a meal or eat a takeaway in comfort (plates etc provided), tea and coffee always available, a sauna and hot tub…..the list goes on. And just a few minutes drive from the centre of Hastings. We really liked the ‘serve yourself’ breakfast option with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and toast at will. Be aware of the ‘no shoes inside’ policy so make sure you pack slippers/socks and that the sauna and hot tub are in the garden so pop flip flops and a towel/robe in your bag if you plan to use them. Recommended without hesitation - we’d love to stay again

What a great property! The communication with the hosts were timely and prompt. And when you get there, the welcome is so warm and loving. Getting to the location was easy. The room was super amazing, clean, comfortable. Great shower. Quiet. The Jacuzzi and sauna were so wonderful! They were clean and the hour slots worked great! The breakfast was delicious, with many options: cereal, warm sweet bread, yogurt, etc. Left full and happy. The host was very informative of the surrounding area.
The parking situation was so so. There is parking next to the property and in in the streets. But be aware that it's tight. Very safe!

It’s not a cooked breakfast like most places I’ve stayed in .they did provide a toaster & a microwave.so we bought our own eggs so we could make scrambled egg on toast . they do provide a good selection of cereals , jams ,yogurts ,fruit juice’s, milk including soya milk & bread . as i have food allergies I bought my own .
Having a cooked breakfast would’ve been better for me . Also the parking was out on the road behind which is a steep hill. I wouldn’t have been able to walk up & down it a few years ago . I don’t know if they have disabled access there .

Felt so homey and warm to be there, felt very welcomed and the hosts made extra effort to make me enjoy my birthday relaxing and the staff were absolutely lovely! Also the space felt so clean and nice, much better than a hotel stay! Will definitely be back if I come to Hastings again!
There was not much to not like! Maybe a few more instructions regarding using the space and I booked a slot at the jacuzzi and sauna as soon as I got to the property but couldn’t find a robe and was a bit cold after coming out of the water and sauna without one but booked the space due to the amenities which were a real treat!

Although the breakfast was not a cooked full English, there was ample choice. The owner also baked some pastries. Huge variiety of teas and coffees. Variety of milk in the fridge. It was a help yourself system which we like. There is also a fridge for guests to use. The owners live on site and are very helfpful and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable, it was actually a 6ft and we had a great night's sleep. Room was really clean and the shower was really good. Location was very good.
We arrived very late and it was dark. Struggled with the numbers on the key box to the room. We managed by using the torch and magnifier on our phone. The key boxes are quite low. There was a choice of two pillows. One was too soft and flat, and the other was too high and hard, but this personal preference., and may be perfect for others. There are steps up to the front door. This could be a problem for someone with disabilities.
