This small but delightful hotel is tastefully designed, has great staff, and is perfectly located for the old town. The rooms are clean and fresh, with a very comfortable bed and there is a small pool to sit around whilst having breakfast or to take a plunge when it gets too hot. The breakfast is Greek in flavour, but there are plenty of options and is served until 10:30 a.m. It is in the heart of the beautiful old town of Rethymno, which will keep you enthralled for days.

Although the breakfast is generous and tasty, the coffee can be improved, and there are no fresh juice options. However, within a stone's throw, there are plenty of great coffee shops.

Absolutely ADORED the Mansio!! Personalized reach out from staff on WhatsApp prior to checking in. Friendly welcome, even after check in hours. Loved the scents chosen, even as we walked into the place and especially the quality of the scents and products in the bathroom! (I’m literally trying to source them so I can enjoy at home!!). Our kids adored the breakfast buffet and the location, walking out to the central square was just so special!!!

Hard to even find a thing! There were a few coffee amenities that weren’t stocked in our room when we would have liked them the first morning. The staff gave them to us upon request though, and it was clear they meant to leave them. The pool is small for kids, (which we knew) but we appreciated it was even available for those in-between moments.

We had the most wonderful stay at Mansio Hotel in Crete, and we truly can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality—it felt more like visiting family than checking into a hotel. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, with every detail carefully looked after, making our stay incredibly comfortable. Its top location also made it easy to explore the area, while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. A particularly touching gesture was how the staff embraced the spirit of Greek Easter with us. They offered us traditional Easter treats and even provided candles for the church service. What stood out the most, though, was the incredible love and care shown to our babies. Every member of the team made sure they were happy and comfortable—it made our experience as a family so much more special. We have to make a special mention of the wonderful lady in the kitchen. Her kindness, warmth, and attention to detail made every breakfast feel homemade and full of love. The quality of the food was exceptional, full of fresh, delicious flavors that we still talk about.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming - Penelope helped us to navigate from the nearby parking to the hotel which is set in a lovely, quiet side street in the old town - fantastic location. The hotel was fitted out very tastefully and to a high standard. The room was decorated beautifully with modern, quality facilities and fixtures - a light sensor for night time toilet visits was convenient and easy on the eyes, a mini iron/steamer for clothes was welcomed, lighting inside the wardrobe was great, the bed was extremely comfortable, the sheets were superb quality as were the towels which smelled amazing. The plunge pool was super clean and looked beautiful in the courtyard. Tables and chairs with lights at night made it a great place to sit outside of the room and enjoy a glass of wine.

The lighting in the room was beautifully ambient but a brighter light option would have been good. The fried eggs should've been kept warm - nobody likes a cold fried egg.

We loved its location. Very easy walk to bars and restaurants in the old town. The room was big and the bathroom was divided with the toilet separate which is very handy. The property was also fairly new and lovely architecturally especially the use of stone and arches.

While the breakfast offerings were nice they could have been better. The coffee wasn’t nice at all. The staff, while pleasant, were not as enthusiastic as other places we had the pleasure of staying at in Greece.

A spacious, well equipped room. There was a small iron. A fabulous bathroom! The hosts have went to great trouble to provide little extras to make everything feel luxurious and special. The terrace is lovely with comfy loungers. The staff were friendly. Location was excellent. A short walk from the recommended car park and also a short walk down into the old town.

Pool is small and was in the shade when we were there. There were not very many staying while we were there so the vibe was a little quiet. The breakfast was disappointing. There was little choice and, as this this was our last night of a 10 night trip around Crete, we were disappointed.

Atmospheric boutique hotel with an original and tastefully laid-out stone interior. Hidden in one of the old side streets of the Old Town, it's within easy walking distance of everything in Rethymno. Bedroom was very large and comfortable, with a big private roof terrace. Powerful shower! Helpful staff.

There weren't many other guests when we were there (early March), so off-season an individual-type breakfast might have been better than a buffet, as the eggs etc tended to get cold.

The hotel is located in a Venetian house (probably 500 years old) in the heart of the old town. Recently renovated to a very high standard, it combines modern amenities with old, beautiful walls. Despite its central location, the square by the mosque turned out to be quiet at night. Very polite staff. Highly recommended.
 Driving into the narrow streets of the old town is, of course, impossible, so parking is available at a nearby city parking lot by the large square. A few minutes' walk is not an issue. Parking is covered by the hotel. We received precise instructions. Around 5 PM, we parked without any problems, but in the morning, we saw a long line of cars trying to get in. I think they could have waited up to an hour.

The staff are really lovely and helpful if you need anything . The breakfast is really nice, home made and a good choice - the building is beautiful and has lovely touches - very. Comfortable bed, brilliant interior design within a beautiful historic building great bathroom, pretty little courtyard and plunge pool - we loved it and will come back

Nothing at all

The hotel was beautiful it was lovely to have a small pool and outdoor area to relax in at the end of each day. The room was spotless well appointed and nice linen. Breakfast each morning was a treat fresh fruit yoghurt nuts etc eggs toast juice coffee and tea. Great location step out the door and you are in lovely Old Town with all of its fabulous eateries shops the waterfront beaches with the museum etc. A real treat. The staff were friendly and obliging and happy to help atcall times. Would highly recommend this property.
