We chose this place precisely for the location. Apart from being very hot (limited ventilation and a pathetic fan) it was comfortable, the quality of showerroom, furniture and furnishings better than most places. Would happily stay here again.

Breakfast was mostly standard for this type of stay in the UK, though the "granary bread" was unlike any I've had/purchased elsewhere: overall adequate rather than exciting. And given that the general quality of the building, furniture, furnishings etc, was excellent it seemed mean that a £ or two was saved by installing single power sockets by the bedside and very few elsewhere in the room. Floors a bit creaky, too.

Lovely pub with good food and beer. The staff were very nice, especially the manager who's name we forgot to ask. The atmosphere in the pub garden was great, very friendly local people. Only 4 rooms but ours was excellent. We had a lovely breakfast, good quality sausage and bacon and excellent home made bread.

My daughter wasn't keen on ratatouille with sausage and mash 😀

Great Decor. Room a good size and very comfy bed. Great shower. A lovely meal and good breakfast. Good Wine. Staff helpful. Nice to have secure shed for our bikes.

The room was very hot due to high temperatures. We had to have the window open and fan on all night. It was cooler downstairs. Would have liked more choice for breakfast. Yoghurt and fresh fruit?

The whole place had an amazing feel, so warm and inviting and excellent staff on all fronts. Lovely location . Amazing breakfast , quiz night was great fun, Room was spotless , we had single beds they were super comfortable, but just a little narrow , locals really friendly and welcoming, and so was the pub dog 🐕 We can't wait to come back again, it was just so nice. Thank you so much 🙂

Such a welcoming arrival so clean and tidy mark was lovely and friendly as we're all the staff including "sausage" she's lovely the room was absolutely spotless I couldn't fault the rooms at all spacious large clean comfy softest bed in the world in our room (room 4) the atmosphere downstairs is brilliant and as for the food oh dear absolutely faultless we tried most dishes on the menu between us and we couldn't fault any but the steak was probly the best iv ever had deffinately Michelin standard we will deffinately be back without a doubt

The downside was we had to leave and come home literally there was nothing we could fault

We booked this pub as we were attending a wedding in a nearby village. The location is excellent and the village idyllic. Think quintessential English village with pub and church on a country lane. Very easy drive from exit 25 (Taunton) on M5. Room was clean with everything you would require for a short stay. Breakfast was good ( I'm not a big breakfast eater) but the host offered alternatives. The weather during our break was exceptional which added to the enjoyment (not really relevant for a review but can bias your opinion). Staff all lovely and friendly.

I was happy with everything, although we didn't try the restaurant so I can't comment on that.

Clean, obviously recently upgraded (in last year?). Easy to move about, really good car parking facilities. Bed very comfy, shower brilliant

Please FIX the squeaky floorboards. It actually kept one of our group awake as people came to bed late - left for their work at 06.30/07.00

This was a lovely small hotel, like a B & B very close to friends who we were visiting in Langport. The staff were so kind and helpful. The bed was, honestly, one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Each staff member went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I was actually a little sad to move on to London after our few days in the country side.

I don’t know that there was anything that I did not like.

The pub and restaurant were tastefully decorated, food was good quality and reasonable. Bedroom was modern, clean and comfortable

The staff were great except the cleaning, who was overenthusiastic and didnt respect boudaries, barelling into the room as we got ready to leave, interrupting our conversations and being over attentive

Quaint little village setting we were made very welcome by Georgia and Rob the bar staff, Carl Damon and Steve the chefs whose food was delicious to Angie the housekeeper nothing was too much trouble. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud.
