It’s a gorgeous building with lots of character. Vast space to park and explore, with grounds and lakes. Lovely inside reception but then goes a little downhill. Beautiful character inside although seating inside the restaurant was very crowded for mealtimes when we visited but good selection at breakfast. The room was a Deluxe but it was very basic. In desperate need of a make over, walls scuffed and stained all over, dents from cases etc. I even took a video to prove we hadn’t done this on arrival, as it was that bad I was concerned we might be blamed! It was a little shocking given the prices. We enjoyed two nights here to celebrate an anniversary and complimentary desert was brought to the room and swan towel arrangement and heart petals on the bed was a thoughtful touch…

In dire need of a refurb, bedroom was awful and needed repairs. A bottle of wine was extortionate with dinner and had to complain that the food was not as described… not ideal for a special occasion. It was disappointing for the cost. Staff were attentive but given the cost overall for the stay, I’m not sure we would go back!

I broke my journey up to London here and was very pleased with the choice. The hotel is set in spacious grounds with abundant parking available. The room I was allocated was a very good size with a large bathroom. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. I had a very enjoyable supper in the restaurant; the continental and cooked breakfast buffet was extensive. The staff were all polite, courteous and helpful. There are plenty of spaces to socialise and the restaurant is very roomy and a lovely place to eat. I will certainly stay here again if I am in the area.

Although the quality of the cooked breakfast items was very good, they could have been hotter.

The grandeur of the hotel is very impressive, with many large rooms and plenty of space. Much of the shared space and rooms themselves have been very well decorated and maintained.

The building and grounds are in need of further refurbishment, with the restaurant particularly in need of a revamp, in my opinion. The central corridor had a damp, musty smell that is ingrained in the fabric and needs to be addressed if the hotel is to lift itself back to clearly former glory. The grounds themselves could be beautiful, although again they need work to ensure that walkways are re-marked and set out with more care.

Firstly, we were offered an upgrade to a suite which was kindly accepted. Thank you. The staff in all areas, reception, bar and the breakfast hall were all very friendly. Plenty of car parking available. Great scenery with beautiful gardens Very quiet. The breakfast was very plentiful and varied. Special mention to Raj in the bar for attempting a 'Sidecar' cocktail. The building and area has plenty of Royal History.

The bar area is not very cosy, it needs to feel more welcoming. Cannot comment on the restaurant other than for breakfast. The scrambled eggs had been sitting for too long and were mainly cold. Despite having a suite upgrade there was no mini-bar just a couple of complimentary waters. Also the lounge area in the suite could do with some low level lamps.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Oatlands Park Hotel from 13–14 June to celebrate our romantic wedding anniversary — and from start to finish, everything was utterly perfect. From the moment we booked, the service was already exceptional. A member of staff kindly phoned me to help plan a few personal touches, offering thoughtful suggestions and ensuring everything would be exactly how I envisioned it. That level of care made all the difference. The hotel itself is gorgeous, set on beautiful, historic grounds that add a peaceful and elegant charm. When we entered our room, we were met with a wonderful surprise — it had been beautifully prepared with romantic touches, including a bed of roses and a lovely handwritten note and card that truly touched our hearts. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay. Our anniversary dinner was delicious, and we were delighted by a surprise dessert with “Congratulations” beautifully written on the plate — a gesture that meant so much to us. Every single detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our special day unforgettable. We are so grateful to the entire team at Oatlands Park Hotel for helping make our anniversary celebration so magical. We highly recommend this hotel — not just for its beauty, but for the outstanding service and care. Thank you again to everyone for being so amazing.

We were upgraded to a larger room so were thankful. There was a party going on but it was sufficiently far away so as not to disturb us. Ample free parking.

The floor did not have enough underlay / soundproofing so every step made quite a lot of noise. Breakfast was OK but stuff ran out because of all the wedding party guests from the night before. The large executive room had a lot of wasted hallway space that could have been better incorporated into the design and use of the entire bedroom space, rather than just being a hallway. This is more of an observation as it did not impact on our stay.

The Hotel is a beautiful building itself, on spacious grounds near the river. We booked for a day stay away to relax and to celebrate my birthday. What a nice surprise a gesture that the management upgraded our room to a junior suite from a deluxe double for free without asking for it. Thank you, you made our stay even more memorable. The room was spacious, super clean and with stunning views over the river. We dined also in the restaurant, the ala cart menu was quite different from the usual but it was really tasty. The staff was very polite and attentive. It makes a difference with the experience. Definitely recommending it.

This is our favourite hotel in the area. The setting is spectacular as is the grandeur of the old building. The executive double room was extremely spacious and must have been recently renovated.The breakfast was very good. Staff pleasant and helpful. The outside seating area was well well shaded with parasols from a hot sun.

A large bus tour had grabbed all of the evening dining slots so we had to find a local restaurant for dinner. Not the hotel’s fault and we have stayed at the Oatlands many times and not had any difficulty in being accommodated.

The room allocated was stunning. We had a suite which was a beautiful room with the most beautiful views. The staff were so helpful and friendly, they couldn’t do enough to help. The grounds are beautiful as well as the facilities. The food and drink were outstanding and, rather reasonable. The hotel also had such a friendly vibe and all staff were so polite and friendly. I will most certainly be booking again! It’s probably one of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed in for a while!

The beds were very comfortable. Nice bathroom Good AC. Beautiful property and green areas around.

The check in process was extremely slow. People were queuing and the staff were just not making an effort to be efficient. One blonde lady was exceptionally useless and rude. Mistaking who the customer was. The lobby bar area was dirty, old plates and glasses were not cleaned up after hours.
