Gorgeous property set in well maintained grounds with amazing sea and land views. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and equipped. Suite 210 has a hammock in the balcony with stunning sunset views. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, offering the perfect place for a relaxing break. The pool is an adequate size and well looked after with a pool bar with plenty of food and drink options. The pool made a beautiful backdrop to sit and have a drink by in the afternoons. There is no evening entertainment which made a refreshing change, allowing those who just wanted to hear the sounds of the crickets at night. All staff were friendly and welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful, open at decent times to cater for early and late risers. Much was the same every morning, but the cakes and pastries were different every day, providing different options and a chance to try different items.

We only ate at the hotel restaurant once after a long day travelling, and whilst we were impressed with the food for the value changed (€30 per person for 4 courses), there is a problem with the waiting staff. The only problem is, there aren’t enough of them. At one point there was one waiter trying his best to get around all the customers. We feel the staff would have been happier and provided a better service if they weren’t rushed off their feet.

We spent a wonderful week in a comfortable 2 bedroom villa in Vale d'El Rei. Upon arrival, we were offered an upgrade to spacious, clean and fully equipped, with a private parking space villa, it's perfect for 4 adults. We are delighted with the picturesque, convenient location of the hotel and, above all, with the cleanliness and top quality of the service. The staff is exceptionally polite and helpful, the restaurant serves good, hearty breakfasts. The intimate surroundings of the swimming pool give a feeling of peace and relaxation. We will definitely come back to this lovely place.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The location is perfect for a base in the Algarve area, close to all the best sights. Our room was great, with a nice view as well. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a hit too. Lots of choices. The best part is the staff. Everyone we met was so kind and welcoming. From Daniel and Daniela at the front desk, to the housekeepers, to the breakfast room staff, they couldn't have been nicer. We would love to go back someday!

Exceptional villa with stunning grounds. Nice main swimming pool with additional one close to the villas. Free shuttle bus to and from the centre, Carvoiero . Restaurant food really nice. Quiet surroundings with lots of scenic spots to chill and relax admiring the nature around. Access to a nearby tennis court is a bonus although it was so difficult to locate it. Better directions required.

The breakfast room is too small for the size of the hotel. Quite crowded at busy times. The gym is not functional and it's quite small with just a couple of machines.

Confortable room, delicious dinner and breakfeast, staff provide a great experience. Looking forward to be back.

Shower curtain

They upgraded us to a bigger room, which is actually a suite. They provided us with pool towels in the room so you could bring the towels to pool. The size of the room is big and as muslims, we had more than enough space to pray. The hotel is actually surrounded by a well maintained park, so you could enjoy a walk around the hotel anytime you wish. The restaurants are well manned, and the waiters are friendly. They can tell you where to get the best Fado show in town, and where’s best to visit if you have limited time. They have two kittens roaming around, which I personally think they’re the owner of the accommodation 😸

If you’re not familiar with the area, try to arrive before sunset on your first day. The roads to the accommodation were not well lit at night and they’re some narrow roads you’ve to be cautious too.

It was our second visit to the hotel, the first being in 2018. We went half board this time as last time we ended up eating at the hotel every night anyway due to the location which we didn't mind. Last time the restaurant was closed so there was a buffet in the bar instead. This time we were pleasantly surprised by the 4 course meal on offer in the restaurant, great options each night. Drinks weren't included but water was only €2.50 which did us most nights. The pool and surrounding area were clean and the grounds well maintained. The air con in the room meant we slept better than at home in Scotland! The beds were also very comfy and the curtains blocked out all light. The room was cleaned daily and towels replaced.

The gym was a bit disappointing, the treadmill had an out of service sign for the whole week and the two ellipticals didn't seem to allow a change in programme. The bike worked but the pedal was off and on the floor next to it the first day so I reported it and it was put back on but was very creaky. The gym wasn't cleaned the whole week.

The hotel was very nice.Clean rooms, great pool and food was nice. Breakfast was excelent. Location is very good if you have a car. You get very fast everywhere in Algarve. Quiet hotel where you can relax.

The down alleys from the resort need more maintenance. The lunch food can be better.

Biggest bed I have ever slept in, really confortable. Super clean, great staff. The resort itself is great, with lots of walking spaces. The pool was beautiful, clean and with salt water. Breakfast very complete and loads of healthy options. We just stayed one night but we will definitely be back :)

Room paintings a bit old dated and not very stylish but this is very subjective. Even though we had our AC off in our room, the machine placed in our terrace was still running and was quite noisy.
