I traveled with two dogs, love the dog rooms. Clean, comfortable patio to outside dog area was remarkable. The staff extra friendly, the Security was very aware of everything and everyone, for example, I was staying on the first floor with her family members were staying on the fourth floor, when we were going to take the elevator up one of the security staff said good morning , and in a friendly conversation, he said, aren’t you staying down the hall. That just made me realize that they do pay attention to who is in their hotel and who is not. Had a wonderful day would recommend this hotel to anyone conveniently located very reasonable pricing, especially with their dog rooms. I have stayed at other hotels that offer dog accommodations and the golden nugget is definitely top on my list.

Everything was great start to finish. We are traveling for military orders moving cross country. This was our last pitt stop and we booked it to have a fun, relaxing, enjoyable time since we had been driving from Georgia for 2 weeks. We made several different stops in different states to visit friends so this was our time to just be together. I tried to check in early, around 1, with paying an small fee, but no rooms were available for us but that was ok. The fact that they offered that was great in itself. We ended up checking in layer than 4 and check.on was an easy process. The one thing I did not agree with is their pet fee of $100. That is more than what the room cost. I booked through a 3rd party a king courtyard pet friendly room. I knew there was going to be a pet fee but I was not expecting it be $100! Non refundable as well..my dog is house trained so for those like mine I feel it should be refundable. Originally we were booked for a king room but non were available so they offered us a 2 queen bed with courtyard access, patio, and dropped the pet fee to $50. So I appreciated that and it all worked out well. The room was small but it worked for us. The bathroom was fine and updated and the water pressure was excellent except no exhaust fan so leave the door open when showering or it will be a sauna when your done. The room is quite dark and for me not enough lighting. I feel they need some ceiling lights to brighten up the room. There are several lamps butnyou have to turn them all on and its still pretty dark. Overall our stay was very enjoyable. The pet area was great but needs work. They need to grow grass, pick up poop that has been left behind by people who don't take care of their pets. Please pick up after your pets! They even have waste bags available in the courtyard so no excuse. The hotel offers a variety of restaurants which was great. The room has a keriug but no kcups so that was annoying. The TV offered many channels.

Smoking in casino and waiting staff rude when asking for a drink as I wasn’t gambling, I offered to pay

Great staff. The receipt says "M.Carver" for c/i which I guess is check in and she was wonderful about answering questions and explaining things. We visited Bubba Gump's twice and the food was very good. Our server, Lynette, went above and beyond to be sure that the meal of our fussy eater was just right. Everyone we dealt with on the staff was friendly and pleasant--they would be great neighbors!

Our room was on the fourth floor and after the first night we woke up with sore throats from the smoke coming in from somewhere. The casino was smokey but the room was really a surprise to have so much of a smell overnight.

The bed was comfortable. The room lacked style. The T.V. was outdated. The heater didn't work. They only left 1 coffee. The guy who works at the desk was friendly, but there were three other people there just drinking coffee and chatting. They didn't seem interested in the guest. I had to sign a note that says no dogs or smoking, yet I saw both in the hallway. They did have a security guard. That was comforting.

Played $300. I was not offered a drink in the casino. I really just needed water. Would have played more if the staff was more interactive with me, especially the waitress.

This was a fun stay! The casino for gambling, the pool & spa for relaxation, CJs for a really excellent dinner, and a very nice room for sleeping! Everything was clean, the beds & linens were so comfy, the shower/bath amenities & towels were excellent! It was so nice, our pool towels were in our room so that there was no hassle over finding towels. The in room coffee was great, really very good. Dinner at CJs was excellent; I didn't have room for dessert, but it looked AMAZING! Having valet parking was awesome & the view of the Colorado was incredible! I thoroughly enjoyed wandering around, looking at everything; the property is decorated beautifully & everything is so clean & well maintained. I highly recommend this facility!

They except pets, location

The casino is very Smokey and the room rate was like $68 and the pet fee was $75….more than the cost of the humans. No where did it mention $75. That was a big turn off. The young man checking us in said if we had booked thru the GN website it would have said, of course I checked and it did not mention $75 neither. It felt like a money grab as my dog is more well behaved and cleaner than any child.

I liked the inside lobby decor. I liked the choices of restaurants. I liked that it was on the riverwalk. Our room was very comfortable and our view of a courtyard was nice. It had a refrigerator that was a great addition to the room. The staff allowed us to checkin early. That was very helpful and appreciated. The price was very reasonable.

We couldn’t walk the riverwalk down to the other hotels because one of them is closed. You have to walk the Main Street to get to Edgewater, Aquarius or Riverside. You could take water taxi but that costs money.

So many people had been saying how lousy it was so my expectation before I arrived just kept getting lower and lower. The room was lovely, see my photographs. The room was sparkling clean. Golden Nugget is also a non-smoking hotel. The pool area was pristine with maybe 50 loungers. The restaurants were fine, clean. Nothing in the hotels rundown or shabby. Everything looked fresh and clean. I was there for three days and two nights and zero complaints.

Absolutely nothing.

Was able to upgrade to a Riverview. After we questioned the registration clerk a little bit more. This made us very happy.

The first contact of asking questions to the registration clerk. The word “probably not”came out of his mouth when we asked a question about the room availabilities. But once we got through that, my friend was able to talk a little bit more and he granted our wishes. Interesting ?but acceptable and understandable
