This is such a sweet little property. Staff is so friendly and kind. I loved the daily BBQ and happy hour. Guests were uniformly happy and friendly. It's easy to travel alone and make a lot of friends. The rooms, although a bit dated, had plenty of space with living and bedroom areas separated. Daily breakfast was large and plentiful. Pool and jacuzzi were clean and nice to enjoy after a long day. It's a quick stroll to either town or Cal Poly. Laundry onsite is a nice touch, too. The owner really cares--it's one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in this year.

Breakfast could use more fresh options. I'm super picky about processed foods--and it felt like a lot of the items came from a box/can, etc.

This little hotel has so much heart--home-cooked breakfast, happy hour, laundry machines, a pool + jacuzzi, flowering landscape in which to sit and stroll, and an outdoor BBQ for dinners. The employees and guests are some of the friendliest people--and I really enjoyed getting to know everyone! Plus, it's a quick stroll into town or Cal Poly--both great ways to enjoy the California Sunshine. Be warned: the rooms are bit loud, as they face an interior courtyard and have relatively thin walls. But, the guests are so uniformly chill that people dealt with one another with a lot of kindness and patience.

Nothing.

The reception staff were really friendly and helpful and offered us a number of rooms. We selected one with a small balcony on the 3rd floor with views of the road and mountains. There was a very slight road noise when it was quiet but not an issue. The room was spacious, it had it's own table for 2 people a pull out sofa bed and sliding doors to close off the rooms. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the wine and beer tasting (AKA free beer and wine , not really a tasting). When we booked there was mention of free snacks, but it seems they stooped that around covid time. Instead we had some really delightful burgers/hot dogs at a very reasonable price (hot dog $3, burger $8). It was a great convivial time to meet and chat to other guests. There was unlimited free coffee in reception. The breakfast was great too, hot food, choices of coffee. We were saddened to leave the SLO quality suites

If i had to find one negative thing, it would be....The bar closed when they stopped the "wine/beer tasting" and the only drink that was available was to be purchased from the shop, bottles of beer or wine.

The location of the hotel was fantastic. We could walk to both the campus and downtown for dinner. The rooms seem like they were recently refreshed and they did a nice job. We had a room with 2 full beds and I forgot how small the full beds are for 2 people. They were also much softer than I like, but maybe that is personal preference. Plenty of towels and nice to have the pool and hot tub. They had tables with fire pits but they got filled up before we had a chance to enjoy one. Clearly a popular item. Parking was easy and conveniently located. The breakfast was also good and I loved the breakfast burrito. A nice change to just the eggs and sausage patties.

Nothing. I would recommend a stay here.

We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. Parking was easy and convenient. The room was clean and comfortable and felt like it had recently been renovated. They gym, while small was clean and had everything that I needed for a good workout both mornings. The breakfast was fresh, hot and filling and I appreciated the fresh fruit. The breakfast burrito was a nice change to just scrambled eggs. The location was awesome as we could walk to downtown and the campus quite easily.

The only thing we didn't like was beds. They were full size, not queens and they were too soft for my liking. But I know that is a personal preference. I appreciated the extra pillow in the room!

Quality Suites in SLO was exceptional. The property has recently been renovated and our room was fresh and clean, comfortable and quite roomy. There is a seperate bedroom area. Our room was ground floor and there was a nice garden with seating and an outdoor gas fire. The Managers Reception was amazing with free drinks for a couple of hours in the early evening. And the bbq offered was also great and very good value. We used the guest laundry. This hotel would be great for a family - they had a very nice pool and hot tub which we didn't use but it looked great.

Nothing - it was great.

location close to many things in Slo and about an hour away from Hearst castle so it was convenient . Breakfast was nice. Service was good. Bed and linens and air conditioning provided good rest . We were near the back of the property on a Saturday night and despite a full hotel , I was surprised at how quiet it was. It made for a restful sleep. We also enjoyed the free drinks in the evening .

Chicken sandwiches and Philly cheesesteak not very tasty that were sold at the on -site barbecue ; this convenient pool side dinner was relatively inexpensive but definitely not “resort “ worthy .

Great location. Very walkable to downtown area. Very nice lobby and bar area. Pool and hot tub areas were easy to access and it was pleasant to be out there for reading or card playing or just relaxing. Room was spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast.

They would do well to freshen the room. The carpet was fine but in need of replacing. Another color for the walls would help. The room was a surprise given the look and feel of the common areas. Not bad but like it was a different place. Maybe it was just the carpet. Room was very comfortable and good value overall.

Extremely clean, updated room amenities, great room climate control, very friendly staff, much more quiet than most hotels I've stayed in, very close to Cal Poly and walking distance to downtown SLO historic district. I appreciated that the room had a small, but separate living/dining area with a separate TV and bar/sink. The water pressure was heavenly, especially for California. And noon checkout time made my whole day. A well-operated hotel property and very good value.
