This is a small hotel, in an excellent location for exploring a “City Different” aka Santa Fe, New Mexico. It’s less than a 10-minute stroll to the plaza but for those seeking proximity with serenity this fits the bill. The rooms are spread out over several unconnected building serviced by a central reception and dining area for breakfast. Plenty of off-street parking which is a major plus given the challenge of finding a place during high tourist season. The venue is clean, but for those who care, a bit dated. My room had a fireplace and some nice Southwestern artwork, however overall was a bit on the dark side.. This is not a place to stay however, if you a seeking a room ”with a view”…but why would you need it when you visit the Land of Enchantment, which is best appreciated in the great out of doors. My room had a King bed that was extremely comfortable, with plenty of pillows. Staff is welcoming, informative and helpful. Breakfast, not fancy, but tasty and classic New Mexican (Breakfast burritos with green chili) with coffee made to order as well as the basics…Bagels & lox also included with your room if desired. Finally, given there are many much more expensive venues in SF, Los Palmas scores a 10 on the value for the money scale.
No significant negatives to mention. I stayed during the month of January. For those not interested in low carbon footprints, during the winter the room is set at ~ 68 degrees…fine for sleeping, perhaps a bit chilly for those from more tropical climes. The hot/cold water facets were “reversed” in my unit with hot being on the right…Not a deal breaker, but could be dangerous to the uninformed. A solid eight…excellent choice at a fair price. You can save on lodging costs while spending your earning on any of the fine dining restaurants well within walking distance.

The location was perfect! We didn't use our car at all and walked everywhere. It was very cozy inside and out and I didn't realize there was mini kitchen which was an added bonus! Love the fireplace as well.
The floor was dirty and I had to wipe my feet off a lot if I wasn't wearing shoes. Also, the breakfast buffet was the same every day and we found ourselves bored with the options by the end of our stay.

Charming B&B. Perfect location right off Guadalupe, close to the walking paths along the Alameda. I could walk to restaurants, the Railyard and the NM Art School. I loved having a private patio off my room to have my early morning coffee. Breakfast was made to order and was delicious. I looked forward to the warm croissants, cappuccino and fresh fruit every morning in addition to choosing 1 of the 5 entrees offered. I loved the whimsical sculptures on the grounds and felt Inspired each day by eating outside on the dining patio. My bed and pillows were comfy as was the sitting area. Everything was to my liking!
the French press coffee maker in my room was awful! I bought gourmet instant coffee .

We have been staying at Los Paloma’s for over 20 years now, and our recent stay really exceeded our expectations. We’ve always appreciated the clean quaint cosy rooms and studios which are located right off the plaza and offers dog friendly lodging. Often though we would skip the free breakfast as it was fairly simple and even bland as compared to the local food options around town. However this recent stay and during our 3 night stay we chose from each several of the newer breakfast options and all were fantastic and delicious! The breakfast and community guest area was vibrant and lively and beautiful. We also thoroughly enjoyed the various house made treats and snacks and fresh lemonade slushy! Fantastic job Los Paloma’s for making your lodging with your new free breakfast options along with the warm community feel and location now our absolute favorite place to stay in Santa Fe!!!
Everything was perfect!

Room was very clean and comfortable. With our room we did get a bundle of firewood to have a fire which was great. Breakfast was fabulous. Choice of 5 different hot dishes that were cooked for us. Staff was also exceptional. They answered all of our questions, resolved the minor issues that we encountered, and had great recommendations for restaurants. Eddie also makes a great cup of hot chocolate.
Only thing I could think of which is a minor issue is that it took about 5 minutes for the hot water to come out of the bathroom faucet. I'm not sure how far it is to where the hot water heater is but we were about a block away from the main office.

The complementary breakfast was very good. Cooked to your order. Location is excellent. We were able to walk to nearly everywhere we wanted to visit except for Canyon Rd art district. Lots of restaurants in the area. Staff very helpful. Parking for guests.
The facilities were very nice, but could use some upgrading. The ice container on our side of the facility was net refilled for the 3 days we were there. Our room had a wood burning fireplace. We were given wood and starter. The wood must have petrified as it wouldn’t ignite or burn. We bought a box of 4 starters and extra starter paper and got a resemblance of a fire.

Our stay at Las Palomas was fantastic! We arrived after 8, but the front desk was able to recommend us a restaurant that would still be open for dinner. The breakfast was exceptional! Made to order and absolutely delicious. The area to eat breakfast was also very cozy. Our room had a fireplace, and although we didn't use it, it created a lovely setting for our stay. The little touches and bright colors felt very Santa Fe. There was a little kitchenette too, and the walls were thick so we couldn't hear our neighbors. Just walking from our car to our room was lovely, well maintained and beautiful. And the shower water pressure was great! The hotel's location was excellent, we were also able to walk to the historical town quickly and easily. Don't miss the homemade marshmallows at the front desk! Best marshmallows I've ever had.
There we no outlets near the bed. Although it is healthy for me to leave my phone elsewhere, I am used to it being at my bedside and using it before bed. It also serves as my alarm, so some extension cords or something that could reach either side of the bed could be an improvement.

Interesting and comfortable suite for the price of a room elsewhere. Great location, good parking, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, homemade potato chips. Might be too funky / not anonymous enough for someone looking for the Holiday Inn, but well worth it for the indoor and outdoor seating, decor, and attitude.
Heat was a little loud -- maybe the fan could be turned down. Too many outside lights on all night on the property requiring all shades to be closed at night - these could be downward facing or motion sensor based. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a gate with keycode on the parking lot side but no code required on the street side which is a little strange.

We stayed 3 nights at Las Palomas. Originally booked two nights, but changed our plans and stayed one more night. Loved the hot complimentary breakfast and morning paper. Our room (#59) was spacious and comfortable. Loved having both a gas fireplace and a ceiling fan. Ten-minute walk to downtown Santa Fe. Loved the complimentary parking and guest laundry.
This is an older property with historic character, and while our room generally felt up-to-date, minor details needed attention. Our shower rod fell down on the first use. We put it back up (just a tension rod), but it wasn't very sturdy. We loved having a ceiling fan, but we couldn't turn it up because it was off-balance and the chain would clank.

This hotel is a collection of small casita/cabin like houses. Everything was clean and really cute. The staff was very helpful and accommodating as well. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious, made to order breakfast every morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if vacationing or passing by Santa Fe.
While out of their control, the parking lots are small and can be difficult to park/get in and out of if you have a bigger vehicle. If you have a large truck, I suggest calling ahead to see what casita would be best to offer you a place to park. Do not let this deter you from staying, just call ahead and I am sure the amazing staff will work with you.
