Very friendly staff .. especially Tracy .in the restaurant...we were going to Grantley hall . That night .and couldn't get a taxi...she drove 6 of us in her car....after her shift....!!! The bar was very friendly at night ..room was fantastic..and the bathroom! Wow.! Loved our stay here ..p.s Breakfast was fantastic ..! And red hot ..! Staff were lovely.

The Sunday lunch was not hot enough for all 6 of us ..but it was tasty and we were hungry so we just tucked in......

This is an absolute gem. Stunning property, amazing hospitality and quite possibly the best breakfast we have ever had. We have recommended you left, right and centre. Attend to detail, VERY clean and cosy. Very keen to become a part of the local community and use local suppliers - and this again, is reflected in the quality. Cannot fault (and I own my own travel company - I’ve stayed in A LOT of places)

The room was well presented. Nice decor and good facilities such as mirrors and plugs etc. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast cost £16 per person extra but was very nice.

The room was £175 for less than 24 hours (16:00- 11:00). I thought this was a bit expensive but we were attending a wedding nearby so wanted to book a hotel near grantley hall.

Room was lovely. Nice and clean and an excellent showroom. Tea, coffee and water available. Excellent food and drink choices in the pub restaurant with Gluten free options available. Nice and quiet location away from the road.

Room was a bit warm for me(I couldn't find any heating controls in the room) Pillows a little in the firm side for my liking.

The room was done to a high standard. Was nice to have our own private entrance

Unfortunately, the people in the room above disturbed us in the night going to the toilet as the floor boards were creaking. Also they were early risers around 6am. So again floorboards creaking and could hear them talking too. So the insulation isn't up to scratch

Cosy pub, large car park, attentive and friendly staff, great food very tasty and well presented. Beautifully furnished bedrooms with great attention to detail.

The main door key was very difficult to use and it took us awhile to get out of the building.

Staff were so welcoming and very accommodating. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice, freshly cooked.

The lunch/evening menu is expansive. However, plates were overfull and off putting as the result. Especially in these times it's such a shame to waste food. We feel quality, not quantity is a priority. Might we respectfully suggest that the menu caters a little more for smaller appetites, with less emphasis on carbohydrate heavy meals more on healthier choices highlighting fresh, local produce, e.g. grilled fish and fresh green veg, thai curry, vegetarian tart, cheese souffle with salad.

Beautiful rooms decorated with class and taste. So comfortable too. The television in the shower room was a nice touch. The choice of blue or white lights went down well with our granddaughter. Robes and slippers provided too.

Lovely location. Beautiful pub, very good food, staff made us really welcome. Stayed in a lovely room separate from the pub so it was quiet. Very clean, great bathroom.

The beds were quite soft, personally I prefer a firmer mattress.

Its rural location is idyllic, and its location gives easy access to both Ripon and Harrogate in addition to the many splendours and delights of the North Yorkshire and its Countryside. The accommodation I stayed in is luxurious. Customer service is of the highest standard: Staff go out of their way to ensure that guests staying or eating at the Sawley Arms enjoy the best possible experience. Nikki merits special mention in this regard, while Linda started work early in order to make breakfast in time for the early start I needed to make..

I did not like being at the Sawley Arms for only 1 night! I intend to do my best to return for a longer stay!
