It was lovely, it was a nice quiet location with a nice flowing river out front. So if you like back ground noise of water flowing while you sleep I guarantee a good nights sleep! Especially in the nice comfy bed and comfortable pillows and duvet I was out like a light! The owners were lovely and welcoming and was a nice friendly pub, didn’t get a chance to try the food but it did smell good especially that roast! Was glad as well to have somewhere to park and Harrogate town was only a 16 min drive away too.

Nothing really to dislike!

The Masons Arms is in a very quiet and attractive location with a ripping brook along the roadside and pretty cottages. The room was clean and quite comfortable with thick walls which made it cosy - but in the summer a cool fan would be appreciated - we found the thick duvet and thick walls too hot ! [Fortunately the windows could be opened for fresh air] Parking at the rear was convenient and seemed secure. Food and beer served in the pub was good.

See above, the room and duvet was too hot in July. Only one chair and no table to sit at for 'breakfast' which was provided in the room.

The location was good for our needs , the staff very friendly and it was very clean . The food and beer were great in the evening. We were able to check in early which was very helpful thanks.

Room 2 was very small and we have stayed in much bigger rooms for less of a price. As the rooms were priced at the same rate we hadn’t realised that this was the smallest room. We knew a cooked breakfast wasn’t available and the breakfast left in the room was adequate but the cake and biscuits were very sweet and unappealing to us. The loud macerating toilet sometimes flushed spontaneously while sitting on it which made us jump!

A lovely flat in a quiet location. The comfortable and spacious flat has pretty much everything you need for a week away. There was little noise despite being above the pub, which serves great food and has a fun charity quiz on Friday nights!

The WiFi was patchy, but that's the only minor issue we had.

There was nothing not to like. The room was clean, spacious and once heating was on was very cosy. Very good sized en suite as well. The pub itself is very cosy and very clean. All the staff are really nice, polite and had a smile. The quality of the food was fantastic and the quantity was very good too. I have never been here before and will certainly recommend to friends and return at some point next year.. Well worth the trip

The location was amazing in a beautiful quiet village. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The staff were excellent and the customer service 5 stars I highly recommend the Mason Arms.

I honestly couldn't find anything not to like

I forgot about the breakfast after booking so was a lovely surprise to see the orange juice, muffin apple ect. The coffee kettle was also a great addition which we made use of before our early start, very pleased with the whole layout and cleanliness of the room. Very modern and updated. Would definitely recommend staying here again. Comfortable calm space for a a night away.

Morning traffic through Knaresborough held us up on route to our destination. Will definitely set off sooner next time.

The breakfast was interesting. This was my first experience of a 'packed breakfast' and it worked quite well. The room was lovely with a great view outside and we could listen to the babbling brook across the road. Very peaceful.

No food downstairs as the pub was shut! Although the plus side was it was beautifully quiet.

Extremely clean, light, comfortable and spacious apartment. Lovely big kitchen and living room areas. Very well equipped with everything you need for self catering. Added bonus of outdoor seating on the balcony.

Nothing, but hopefully the weather is better next time so we can enjoy the balcony more!
