Excellent, friendly staff. Nothing but praise for them. Lovely dining/pub area. Excellent evening meal (had one of their speciality pies). Beautiful! Large clean bathroom. One of the cups/spoon in the bedroom was dirty.

I think my room might have been over an office area (?) as it was noisy, and I could hear some of the conversations below. That said, it could be noisy room occupants below? On being shown to my room, the upstairs small landing by my room was very cluttered even before I got there. There was a dismantled bed upright on the right and a large headboard right in front just before my room. It's not a welcoming first look! Would help if they were removed. Hoover left out by the aforementioned headboard. Untidy.

Easy location to Ripon. Excellent friendly atmosphere, Seamus and Callum are both great hosts and cannot do enough for you to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Pizza night on a Wednesday was great (best pizzas ever) and ready in 5 mins. Check out Callum’s Pizza sign outside. Great home cooked food and good parking. Rooms are a good size and house keeper comes in daily. Well done to all at the Blackmoor Inn. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely Nothing!

Great location, close enough to the racecourse and Ripon centre, but far away enough for some peace and quiet. Rooms was nice and modern with clean bathrooms and lovely friendly staff. Didnt get the chance to eat as we had been to a wedding, but the menu and pizzas looked sounded amazing! Beautiful character building, with a stunning restaurant.

Very lovely comfy quilt, although, somewhat warm for summer.

Rooms comfy clean and a good size, we arrived before check in but we were allowed into our room as it was ready.We never booked for breakfast but we did have an evening meal, very good and decent choice of startes and mains. Lovely bar and great beer garden especially to watch Red Kites flying over. Stayed for the racing at Ripon great location and easy walking distance.

Beautiful old period property and much of its original features have been maintained, Lovely cosy place, with stunning sunset views of a morning, Bed was super comfy with perfectly laundered bedding, Seamus and his team gave a very warm welcome, and were very accommodating to our needs, and nothing appeared to be too much, Meals we had were outstanding, will definitely visit again, Thank you for your hospitality guys 🙂

Checking out to go home, there wasn’t an issue with checkout I just didn’t want to go home 🤣

We were cycling the Way of the Roses and it was just off route so convenient. Very good hosts, food ok but unfortunately for us chef had left the week previous and not yet replaced so fairly limited. Secure cycle storage which was important to us. Our room was ok if a bit tired, would nevertheless stay again.

We had to leave the hotel by 8 am so could not be offered breakfast in the restaurant. The barman gave us some cereal and milk (and even brought a fridge up for us) so that we could have breakfast before we left - which was very kind.

A lovely room but quite expensive. £130 seems a lot for one night.

Stopped for one night to break our journey. Room 3 (with bathroom) was compact but clean and sufficient for our needs. Didn't eat at the Black-a-moor but had a couple of drinks which were very good and like the cost of the accommodation, very well priced. Would be happy to stop again.

It was off the main road into Ripon, so not one that you could walk. It said on the website, '2 minutes' from Ripon and it was, but by car. I had misread it and thought we were staying in Ripon and could walk around the town. The food was delicious and Seamus tried hard to be helpful and was very friendly and informative.

I didn't like the fact that it wasn’t walkable to Ripon. Close drive to Fountains Abbey and other nice places to visit. For us, it was a perfect place to stop overnight on our way to Scotland.

Beautiful room well equuipped woth everythi g you need , includong tea and coffee making facilities, nice shower , Excellent resturant with good selection of meals at great value
