Location opposite the lovely park. Watched the park run from the room. Nice bath with shower over. Could wash my hair with the shower whilst sat in the bath which was good for me. The staff were very friendly and polite and the hotel was gorgeous., well kept and clean.

The breakfast. I'm afraid the bacon was too soggy, so it put me off the rest of the breakfast, though they did bring me a poached egg on request. There wasn't enough choice. I literally had poached egg on toast which made it a very expensive breakfast for me. I also paid for an upgraded room for 2 nights. The room was not replenished for the second day (no shampoo etc, no replaced hospitality tray and snacks) but by the time we realised it was too late, it was bed time. Whilst this is a negative I would still come back, but hopefully when it's a bit cheaper to stay. I paid the extra for my husband to have a nice room with the little extras, though apart from the Nespresso machine I'm not sure how much was different to the room we originally booked.

Absolutely stunning hotel in a wonderful location. Ideal for us to visit Harrogate and Mother Shiptons cave. Walking into the hotel, the attention to detail was aesthetically pleasing. My son loved the singing pumpkins and all the staff couldn't be more helpful. Beautiful bar lounge area to relax in after a busy day shopping and sightseeing. We had a meal in the restaurant which was absolutely beautiful. Is definitely on our list to visit this beautiful hotel again.

Found that the bedrooms could have done with a little tlc. The sealant round the bath was mouldy and peeling and screws sticking out of the bath panel. Paint Chipping off all around the windows. The carpet really needed a good cleaning. I really don't want this to sound like we are nit picking, as it did not spoil our stay at all. But we just felt that all the wow factor had been put into the entrance reception area, bar lounge, and restaurant.

Standard buffet and plenty to eat which was ok but maybe a fish alternative and bacon was hard and dried up by 9.15am. No major complaints and would stay again but maybe give the breakfast a miss. Got an early check in which was appreciated

A better explanation of the parking at check in would have been good. £8 for 24 hours but £14 for 26 hours!!!? Then walking out the back of the rear car park 1 sign said 4 hours free if dining or in the reception. So as we had coffees in reception before going to our room 24 hours would have been sufficient. Didn’t like having to put in the machine when we leaving the next day in advance either. Breakfast officiater a miserable devil too.

Thr hotel is lovely amd the room itself was ok but not what I would call superior has claimed

The restaurant on site is very expensive for what it is the setting is lovely amd felt warm and relaxing. Unfortunately that's where it ends the staff are very slow amd quite rude not really the experience you expect the food service was very very slow over 40 mins for a main to arrive which was shocking has there was only 10 tables to serve. When it arrived the server asked if we required any condiments which of course we did and then he spilt Mint sauce on the table amd never returned to clean it up overall a very underwhelming experience

The room was rather small ,it was just off reception and could hear people coming and going a lot .our window view wasn't anything to be desired! (Car park! The main problem was security light glaring and odd time people going for a smoke Out there who were a bit loud . Booked well in advance ,my brother and his wife came down to surprise us for New Year's Eve only booked 2wks ago they were on 3rd floor bigger room and lovely view 😞 was a special offer what we got ,but would much rather have payed a little more, and got a pleasant room ,with a nice view .

All of downstairs. Bar lounge and dining room were stunning. Food in restaurant very good.

Gentleman at reception said he put us in newly refurbished room as it was our wedding anniversary.It wasn’t newly refurbished. Lots of marks on walls and skirting. Blind broken. Why lie? Led to disappointment. Only one lift working and that even stopped at breakfast time. Which meant 4 flights of stairs, which when you’re disabled, not good. Prices in restaurant high and would have been nice to have a midweek meal offer.

Location. Free drinks vouchers on arrival. Large room (superior)

Rooms could do with a lick of paint. Walls are a bit thin between rooms. Could hear neighbours telly and hairdryer.

The hotel was dog friendly and the staff were very welcoming and inclusive of the dog It was a good location for walking into the centre with the dog The bar was open 24/7 so we could relax in the bar knowing the dog was welcome and we were comfortable When we arrived in the room there was a dog bed, bowl and toy waiting with information on the hotel relating to pets which was a really nice touch and made us feel comfortable as it was our first trip to a hotel with the dog Our room had a low window which was perfect as our dog is the nosiest dog ever so he had a lovely time watching everything outside while we got ready to go out

Parking should’ve been included for guests staying at the hotel Television was on a wall opposite the bathroom so we couldn’t watch it of an evening, it would’ve been helpful if it had a bracket so this would move to face the bed

The staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel was very clean. The communal areas are particularly lovely as it looks like they are updating through the hotel. Breakfast was good.

Our room was hot even with the window open. The fan helped a bit. The drinks tray in the room could offer more, fruit and green tea, biscuits. Our tray had one packet of biscuits for the 2 of us. Just seemed a bit skimpy The fruit salad offering could be better and offer berries, etc, rather than whole pieces of fruit. The room refresh wasn't done one day, and I feel we should have had a complete change of bed linen, clean, and fresh towels during our stay of 5 nights, I found this really disappointing. The pillows really need looking at, very flat and felt cheap, this impacted on the quality of sleep.

From when we were greeted on Wednesday by the charming young man on reception, to when we booked out on Friday, we found every member of staff that we encountered to be professional, courteous and polite. Each one of them went out of their way to help us and provide the best service that they could, with a big smile. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with good choices, including vegetarian sausages - cooked to order when requested. Our evening meal was excellent, really well cooked, and good choices on the menu. Our room, (223) was clean, comfortable and warm, nice bathroom with a good shower, and the bonus of a deep bath ! A lovely hotel, with excellent staff, can't wait for our next visit.

Only small flaw in our stay was that our room was at the front of the hotel, and people go outside at night to smoke and talk (loudly) on their mobile phones. Not sure what, if anything, the hotel could do about this.
