Local produce for breakfast, superb service and communication from everyone we interacted with - all staff looked happy to work there. Air con in room was a delight, rain shower very welcome and we were able to park our motorbike on the premises. Great selection of eateries 5 mins walk where (helpfully) everyone spoke English and calm and pretty location to wake up to (pond/canal, ducks/Meerhens and a bench right across the street)
2 small things that didn’t spoil our stay but would have made it even better - the floor in the shower area was beautifully tiled but very slippery so take extra care when wet and we had no ‘normal’ tea in the room (and only cream for coffee even if we had English Breakfast)

The breakfast was outstanding! With local cheeses, butter and yoghurt, a selection of meats, home made jams and freshly cooked bread rolls. You can choose how your eggs are cooked and tea or coffee is freshly made and refilled. If there is anything left over a bag is provided for you to take a snack for later.
The only thing that would have made it better was a longer stay!

We could not have chosen a better place to stay whilst visiting relatives in Bergschenhoek! The hotel is beautiful: clean, comfortable and situated on a pretty canal opposite a lovely park. We loved the staff, who bent over backwards to make our stay as perfect as possible. We even had a family yoga session in the beautiful garden! Last but not least - the food!!! The best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel! Thank you!

What a wonderful visit! The most beautiful hotel full of history and modern decor. We were greeted as soon as we entered with an update on opening hours, breakfast requirements and had a tour of our room. With a coffee machine, dimable lights, a huge kingsize bed and waterfall shower, I couldn't have asked for anything else. Our view was of a lovely garden and watched over a frosty park during breakfast. We were presented with an impressive lasy susan every morning full of fresh pastries, fruits, meats, cheeses and breads all locally sourced and delicious. I would absoloutely visit here again.

We really liked the area, because both the town and the immediate surroundings of the hotel were very nice :) The guesthouse was very well-kept, the staff were lovely, we could easily store our bikes in the gazebo. Delicious breakfast. We really liked the ladies serving the hotel, lovely women with whom we had a number of interesting conversations. Only superlatives.
For us it was not a problem, but the stairs leading to the first floor are narrow and steep. Everything was good :)

Everything!!! Fabulous room and view. A lovely young man at the reception on our arrival told us the history of the building. The breakfast was outstanding. The owners are really friendly, and it shows that this place is their pride and joy. Bergschenhoek is a nice small town with few shops and eat in places. Ideal stopover to catch the ferry from Hoek van Holland. Recommend this place wholeheartedly.
There is nothing to complain about.

I recommend accommodation at Polserhaus to everyone. Very clean and comfortable room. The bathroom has a large shower. Everything looked as if we were the first customers in a completely new hotel, but the building is almost 100 years old. I recommend a delicious breakfast consisting of local products of origin (homemade jams, milk and cheese from the neighbor's cows) which we discovered while serving the meals. The very nice owner of the hotel and her daughter make every effort to make your stay at the hotel unique. At the end, we drank coffee and received homemade cookies made by grandma.

The house is amazingly beautiful. In the evening when we first arrived, it was full of warm light and quiet guest's chatter. In the morning going down the pleasantly squeaky stairs we felt so lucky to be staying in the property. One special word should be said about the breakfast: as foodies, we are very much into local produce, and the breakfast offered it: locally sourced butter, yogurt and cheese and homemade marmalades. Every little detail is thought through. We simply loved it!

A very pleasant welcome. Very comfortable refurbished room with great shower. Quiet location. Tasty and very generous breakfast. Easy parking.
The light switches drove me mad in the bedroom, despite instructions! Be prepared for the typical old Dutch house steep staircase, but everyone is happy to help with luggage :).

We stay 2 weeks, best decision !! The hotel is a historical house fully renovated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious (with local products: fresh orange juice, yogurt, fruits, home made bread, cheese, croissant ….). Most important the service is outstanding, you feel like at home with the comfort of a hotel. The host family is very friendly specially Meike who run the hotel is very friendly and do all to make you feel well. I broke my ankle before coming to the hotel and she took care of supporting us in all what I needed and beyond !!! Extraordinary experience, fully recommended will come back if I’m around.
