This was one of the best stays we’ve ever had. The magical environment of the villa is topped with great, helpful, friendly staff. The food was amazing. We enjoyed the pool and a relaxing massage as well which were both exceptional. The hourly shuttle service makes life so much easier of you want to visit Florence too. Can’t wait to be back at Il Salviatino!

The fact that we had to leave :(

First and the most important thing about this hotel is that it is situated in a piece of heaven, among beautiful trees of different types. The hotel itself is old but this keeps you amazed. The room was very spacious, clean, and the staff was very kind. Even though they don't serve breakfast outside, you still can enjoy it outside with the most incredible view to the Florence city? The garden is astonishing and keeps you impressed with everything you see.

They don't refill water in the room every day, despite the fact that it is an expensive 5star hotel. And, for breakfast if you want Benedict eggs you have to pay 17€, I think that in a top quality hotel everything should be included, and at least one bottle of still water.

A divine blessing! Staying at Il Salviatino was like staying with lovely friends: carefully blended intimate, warm hospitality combined with personal space for stillness and tranquility. We will never forget enjoying breakfasts, drinks and dinner on the Il Salviatino terrace, with its breathtaking views of Florence. Florence is amazingly beautiful, with masterpieces in galleries and museums, jaw-dropping architecture and heavenly gardens. Sitting on the Il Salviatino terrace, it’s very easy to see all that glory captured in one scene. To add to this magic, there were extensive gardens and the other-worldly spa to transport us to an even higher place. A divine blessing. Thank you so very much.

Amazing service that could not have been better. My husband and I ran into some trouble (theft in town centre) but the staff here offered every bit of help possible to alleviate the inconveniences and made our stay in Florence so much better than it would’ve been. Dinner was lovely and the ambience was great with a beautiful view over Florence. The hotel was beautiful and stylish with class, and absolutely lives up to its 5 stars! The spa is also a hidden gem that’s beautifully maintained. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Florence.

I rarely do give hotels 10 stars but this is a ten out of ten. It‘s pricey but worth every Euro. The serene atmosphere in the buildings, the huge pool in the park, the handy shuttle into the city centre, breakfast on a green and cosy terrace overlooking beautiful Florence. Don’t get me going about the cake buffet at breakfast! Can I say more? Will definitely be coming back with or without my picky and demanding teenager, who also loved the hotel.

The staff were incredibly helpful warm and friendly. They accommodated our every conceivable need. They really went out of their way, they actually remembered our individual orders at breakfast each day and generally were so pleasant and kind. The grounds were gorgeous! Flowers everywhere surrounded by green rolling hills. The bartender at the pool was so fun and gracious. The pool was divine! The spa was lovely and restful with a delicious hot spa in which to relax.

this is my favourite place on earth. when I become old and frail I wish to continue here until my death, a bit like Coco Chanel and the Riz, but Italian and ridiculous. it’s been 3 long years since I last visited thanks to covid, and things have changed only for the better. be patient with the place if you visit-they’ve been closed for a while and have a lot of new staff. the essence of Il Salviatino remains though, and there’s nothing like that feeling when you drive up the meandering road to the entrance, open the door and smell the sweet perfume of the honeysuckle, take in the breathtaking view, and remember what heaven looks like.

Beautiful! We came to see Florence and you can almost experience it all right at this hotel (we stayed two eve's and did not want to leave) Such care has been taken to make every moment special here, each hallway, each nook, the gardens, the spa, even the drive up is magical. The view is exactly as they show in the pictures. The staff are lovely, especially Sofija, she gave my father and I an initial tour and was so kind in every way. We will be returning with more of our family and friends!

We absolutely loved spending our honeymoon at Il Salviatino. The staff was wonderfully helpful. The complimentary breakfast was so tasty. The accommodations were spacious and beautifully designed. We can't wait to return.

There was nothing to dislike about Il Salviatino. If I have to be picky and say something that could be improved, I would note that the location is outside of the city center, and their complimentary shuttle only runs back and forth until 8pm. It would be nice to consider the shuttle running until 9:30pm, allowing guests to go into the city center and have a 7pm dinner reservation and then have a shuttle trip home instead of getting a taxi. There are a limited number of taxis, and on a few nights it took us an hour or more in waiting.
