Beautiful views and surroundings with plenty to do if you enjoy activities and water sports. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel- activity staff, wee shop, reception, restaurant. All in all a really great hotel in a beautiful area. Canoe with a view was really fun and seeing the seals topped it off.

The room was a bit too hot, but we did have a mini heat wave which was lucky- This made being outside wonderful but the room was extremely warm, but you can’t have everything! Air con unit wasn’t really doing much- pushing the warm air around and the windows only open a small way for safety. The bed was a little too hard for our liking. Perhaps an optional mattress topper and a mini fridge to keep drinks cool?

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced, and of course the location was amazing. We tried the takeaway and that was good too. The staff were very helpful.

There was a wedding taking place the next day when we tried the takeaway and the service was slow. We couldn't get in the restaurant at all that evening. The main issue we had which wasn't exactly the hotel's fault was that it wasn't really geared up for guests arriving by public transport. We struggled to get a taxi to the nearest station (Arrochar & Tarbet) and the staff, though willing, were unable to help. There is a bus service in theory, but I think there was only one bus a day. The problem appeared to be that there was a one-man business locally, but otherwise taxis have to be brought in from as far as Helensburgh some 30 miles away and drivers aren't too keen to do it. If you can find a cab, it's pretty expensive (we paid £50 one-way).

Superb location and lots of activities on site. Very friendly and approachable staff. Superb views from main areas and bedrooms. Food in restaurant excellent. Great sized ,and warm,swimming pool. We really enjoyed our stay in lovely setting and well maintained grounds.

We were staying in hotel, lovely room and stunning view, however we had no hot water in the evenings, which after a day hill walking meant we had to have a very tepid shower. Coffee machine in room 102 is not working properly, which obviously you wouldn't be aware of without a mention. A swimming costume spinner would be great in swimming area, especially for families using pool daily.

The staff really made a difference. Gemma on the front desk was amazing. Took us right to our room, explained everything, also the things that the hotel put on for the children was amazing, easter egg hunt. Gemma I can't fault you at all, the kids loved you too. Kept asking to go back to speak to you

The entertainment was on the Thursday, the magician. He was an hour late, was dissapointed as my grandaughter had to go to bed. I would give the restaurant a swerve too well breakfast, I ordered toast and tea, the bread was white. The staff in the restaurant were lovely. I did hear people say since the place has been taken over, it's gone down hill. This was my first time visiting.

We really liked that the hotel had a restaurant for breakfast, take away place and a bar within the hotel. The location is out in the middle of nowhere where almost that it the nearest pub could be a 5 minute drive but 20 minute walk. The view surrounding the hotel is amazing! There’s so many adventures to tackle around the hotel but on rainy days it’s a nice place to sit around and relax.

The laundrette was 10 minutes down the road walking distance. It was windy and wet, only wish this was within the building rather than down the road and if you don’t have cash, it’s hard to get cash out from reception or the wee shop next to the laundrette.

The location is wonderful with lots of outdoor and hiking activities on the doorstep. The main building with reception, hotel rooms and restaurant has clearly been refurbed recently and is very modern & clean. Loved the covered outdoor area attached to the restaurant - sitting there with a beer watching the epic views was bliss. The spa was fantastic too and you are well looked after and the service is excellent. The site is very well maintained and has shop, takeaway, pool and lots for kids to do if you are there as a family. The restaurant food was good too. The hotel room was super clean, very modern and again very freshly refurbished recently by looks of it. Great selection of tea/coffee and having both a pod Machine and kettle is perfect. Rooms were spacious. A bit warm for me, even in October but nothing opening window can’t fix (or there is a mobile aircon machine). It’s certainly a good place to relax and we really enjoyed ourselves and felt like we had truly a relaxing time.

Rest assured that these things were minor and despite them, we would still come back in a heart beat. So please bear this in mind. Hotel room beds were a little Too firm for us. WiFi in the room wasn’t great and TV only had a few channels - but this wasn’t a huge deal for us and if anything, helped us relax more and have time away from screens!

The estate is in a beautiful spot, stylish decor and a great family friendly feeling to it. There is a shop, restaurants, bar and pool and lots of other activities if you chose to do something more adventurous. We stayed in the hotel in a superior king room which was nice. The food in the restaurant was quite reasonable and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Just little things really, like the coffees were quite expensive and although there was a proper machine to make them we were given push button coffee instead. The cocktails whilst ok, were not mixed but instead poured from a pre made bottle. The pool looked ok but as a couple we felt it was more of a set up for kids and family rather than a relaxing spa style pool. The spa was actually closed both days we were there so not able to book a treatment.

Beautiful hotel with spectacular views. After a long days travel it was a great end to our NC500 trip. The road into the property was a fun experience with lots of nail biting twists and turns but it only added to our adventure. We arrived late and the restaurant accommodated us with dinner even though they were close to closing time. We had a super meal and the staff were extremely friendly.

Only comment I would make would be at the price we paid, breakfast could be included. Also breakfast times were very late compared to normal. Start time 9am, does not really work when people are travelling as you want to be up and out early.

The hotel location is beautiful!! We didn't get to try them out but there was lots to do and sign up for. The staff were really lovely and so good with the dog - especially Ali B in the restaurant. We enjoyed the bar options - was nice to be able to sit outside. The room was very basic but a really nice big bed. It's dog friendly - but didn't offer any additional things in the room like bowl, bed etc...we brought our own tho so wasn't a problem. Lights - really easy and simple switches Plugs/USB - on both sides of the room in the room we were given. Clear Bathroom Wall - no! Thank goodness. Mini Fridge - available in room Wifi - didn't work in our room on the lower floor Shampoo & Conditioner - a 2 in 1 basic, would recommend bringing your own. Toiletries - none except shower gels and hand soaps HairDryer - didn't use, but looked good and placed next to a mirror. Iron - available and ironing board.

The room was excellent; of a large size, with good facilities. The views from the hotel were excellent, joyous in summer the sun. The bar had a fair choice of beers, the restaurant sold good food at a reasonable price. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Whilst we didn't make use, the swimming pool was a welcome feature. A very pleasant offer.

The hotels marketing. Having booked two rooms, I regularly received 4 emails per day telling me what was on offer, I also received x2 'courtesy call's' a few days in advance of the stay to explain the features on site. To be frank, I had made the booking and didn't want or need this intrusive, unnecessary, 'nagging'. Totally excessive. Secondly, the roads to the site (which are beyond the site owners control) are single track. Whether this is an issue or not depends upon the calibre of the other vehicle users you encounter, too many folk have no idea how to navigate such a road and the length of the roads is sufficient to mean that you will probably encounter at least one muppet. It made access tiresome.
