We stayed at the Rivertown Hoi An Resort & Spa for 8 days & 7 nights. I noticed the lush gardens, pool area, and lovely pond. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, had a welcome drink, and received a Hoi An introduction and a map. Our spacious upgraded room was 709, which overlooked a magical 180-degree riverview. The room design was good. I liked the walk-in shower, smart TV, good water pressure, bathroom products, shower cabinet, comfortable bed, and air conditioner, which worked well. Housekeeping & laundry services were excellent. The beautiful lights highlighted significant outdoor lounging areas within the parklands at nighttime. Having filtered water available to guests was great. All staff were welcoming. The major highlight was breakfast, which included excellent food and many vegan options. The food variety was fantastic, tasty, and fresh. I loved the salad options: sushi, tomato tofu, fried eggplant, stir-fried veggies and noodles, wonderful juices, chia pudding, and strong coffee. We had extra vegan menu options and soy milk available. At lunch, we also had delicious cocktails. The spacious gym had two exercise bikes, treadmills, weights, and multi-option equipment. All the equipment worked well. The spa staff was welcoming. My facial, coconut scrub, and body massage were nice. I loved the wonderful oils on sale, which were excellent value for money. The facilities were good, but there was loud background noise, so I put some soft earplugs in. I could still hear the relaxing music and relax. Negatives: In the morning, I could hear roosters and background noise, so I put in my supplied earplugs and eliminated this problem. In short, I loved the great customer service, attention to detail, excellent food variety and quality, brilliant room and staff, spa & gym facilities. It was an exceptional stay. I appreciated that we, as vegans, catered for very well.

More gym equipment like a rowing machine or stepper would be better.

Lovely hotel. It was raining so we couldn't make use of the pool(s), but the outdoor area was lovely. Size of the room was huge and we were close to the main tourist bits and walked everywhere.

We got the balcony suite to hang out on the balcony, but the rooms overlooking the river are next to a very noisy metal bridge. The balcony door has brilliant soundproofing and you can't hear a thing from the room but it's virtually impossible to hang out in the balcony itself. If you want to spend time in your balcony, ask for rooms facing the main pool.

Such a lovely hotel, perfect balance of Hoi An hospitality and a touch of luxury. Staff were generous and friendly and very efficient, anticipating your needs. The rooms were nice, very comfortable, and having a ceiling fan as well was welcome. Loved being a bit out of town as it was quiet, and the gardens surrounding the pool were divine, something very few other hotels in the area had. It was a haven. Breakfast was very good, lots of fresh choices and a really nice dining area. Would heartily recommend Rivertown.

It was hotter than usual but the pool was extremely hot for a few days, to the point that it was unpleasant to swim in. One other slight complaint is that the bread at breakfast was soft and crumbly - we craved some of those crisp Vietnamese bread rolls. Otherwise, everything was spot on.

The staff were fabulous, they made our stay so perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and you could tell the staff were happy to be working there. We also really enjoyed the location. It was very quiet but an easy walk to the night market and old town. The food was also consistently delicious as were the drinks. The spa was very good too. We were sad to leave this hotel after 5 nights there. We had an interconnecting room which was very comfortable for our family. The aircon worked really well.

There was not much to be concerned about. If I’m being very picky perhaps the fridges in the rooms could be colder and some of the plugs were a bit worn so perhaps need some maintenance. Other than that it was fabulous, thank you.

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The beautiful staff were warm, kind and provided the most amazing service. Nothing was too much trouble. We were traveling with our nearly 3 year old granddaughter and I can't tell you how wonderful they were to her. A special mention to Duyen and Tram who were so kind and helpful. We loved the variety and quality of the food, so fresh and delicious and we loved the location near the old town. The beautiful, peaceful grounds provided a wonderful respite from busy Hoi An even though we were in walking distance to everything. Thank you for making our holiday so wonderful.

Absolutely nothing.

We stayed for 4 nights at Rivertown Hoi An, and we absolutely loved this hotel. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay. It was located in a quiet section of town, near Old Town, which was less than a 10 minute walk away. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and we were always greeted with a smile. It's a full service hotel, offering a great money exchange rate, tour packages, free unlimited filtered water, laundry and transportation assistance. Our room was very quiet (poolside), very clean, modern and comfortable. There were beautiful lit lanterns in the garden at night. The best part of the hotel, however, was the astounding buffet breakfast. Wow, we were so impressed and looked forward to breakfast every morning. Just the breakfast alone was worth the stay at this hotel!! We highly recommend this place and will definitely return if we are in Hoi An again. Many thanks to the wonderful staff!!

Great hotel located close to the ancient town. About a 8-10 minute walk. Breakfast was fantastic although they don't label their food if it contains gluten or dairy. But no big deal for me, I was able to work out which foods I could and couldn't eat. The only hotel that had labels was a high end wellness resort I stayed in throughout my travels in Vietnam. No other hotel did so I am not singling this hotel out. There are 2 pool areas, one is for parents with kids and the other one is pretty much left for the adults. My partner and I spent most of our time in the adult pool which was a really good size and had plenty of sunbeds. Staff were exceptional and i loved how there are water filters on every floor. it was so hot during our stay so it was very handy being able to fill my drink bottle for free instead of going to the shops and buying 10 bottles of water and having to walk back with them. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we ever come back to Hoi An. If the gym facilities were better then I would rate this a 10.

Gym could be better. Would've been nice to be able to work off all the delicious food I was eating but I just didn't think there was enough equipment. And the equipment they had seemed a bit dated.

Excellent stay at River Town Hoi An Resort and Spa. Our room is on the top floor facing the river and the town and it's quiet. The room is spacious and the price is very reasonable. Very close to Hoi An night market and it's a walking distance. The breakfast is excellent with both Vietnamese and Western style food. The staff is very polite as well as receptionists. We met the receptionist whose name is Thi (we think) is very nice and helpful. She helps us to book our day trip and get our laundry done. Thank you Thi. The Spa/Massage at this resort is very good and very relaxing. It's "A Must Do" when staying at this hotel. The price is extremely reasonable. My first massage I've ever had. We will stay here again if we come to Hoi An

From the moment we arrived at this beautiful hotel we knew we were going to love it. The staff go above and beyond. The grounds are beautiful and there are 2 pools. One is adults only but children over 12 years of age can go in it. The other pool is at the back of the property which we used and we could watch motorbikes flash by. We stayed in the Grand Deluxe Double Pool & River View room and it was amazing. We had a large room and a lovely balcony to relax on. I used the Spa services and could not fault them. It was so relaxing and a lovely environment. My husband used the gym and found it well equipped. We took advantage of the free bikes and this was the perfect way to get around the town. You only need to ride 2 bridges along and you are in the hustle and bustle. This time we liked being on the edge of the town as it was a lot quieter but so close to everything also. The breakfast selection was amazing

We had a great stay and the staff (particularly Quoc and Thi) made our stay personable and fun! Breakfast is lovely, the location is perfect, and there is a sister property at Ahn Bang beach where you can go for the day with shuttle service included. There is an outdoor garden bar area that it so enchanted with lanterns. Definitely have a drink there in the evening. The spa services were excellent. They are more expensive than some of the old town vendors but the quality and experience were significantly better with the hotel

It is a small thing, but they indicate the pool in front is for adults and the back pool is for families with children. That seemed to not always happening during our stay.
