Situated on the banks of the Hoai River, Hoi An Canal House is within walking distance of all the attractions of the old town, yet in a quiet area. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful, helping us rent bicycles and arrange the transfer to our next destination. Upon check-out, they left us a handwritten farewell note with good wishes for our departure, a sign of special care. The breakfast is simple but served with care and still enough to start the day. We really enjoyed our stay here and we recommend it!

We recently stayed at Hoi An Canal House as a group of 5 friends, booked 3 rooms, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience.. All the rooms were in excellent condition, very clean with a lovely pool view. The hotel's location is perfect, just a short walk to the Ancient Town. There's an ATM right next door, and a halal restaurant conveniently located across the street. We would like to highlight the exceptional reception team, especially Ms Ny, Ms Truc and Mr Thien who were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay.. They assisted us with everything from bike rentals to airport transfers, as well as securing tickets for the Hoi An Memories show. During check-in they provided a detailed explaination of nearby attraction with map and offer other services such as ticketing, transport, bike rental, spa, laundry service and etc. While the hotel does not have an elevator, but the staff were more than willing to help carry our the luggage to the room and the housekeeping staff ensured our rooms were cleaned daily, which we greatly appreciated ❤️ One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the banana pancakes, omelette eggs with bread, while the EGGS FRIED RICE was absolutely delightful!! ❤️ Overall, I highly recommend Hoi An Canal House to anyone visiting Hoi An.. It’s a wonderful place to stay with excellent service and amenities.. I look forward to returning in the future and staying in this hotel again.. Thank you so much for making our stay memorable! We loved our big bed and comforts of room. Lovely helpful staff. Attractive hotel. The pool is next to a road but a nice feature. Breakfast is good. Only one drink allowance though. But location is great. Not too noisy, but right near everything. Over the river is a really noisy touristy area. Hundreds of lantern boats and souvenirs and bars. This hotel is next to a bridge. Very convenient. Good shower too.

City view means wall! NO VIEW! I wish they would say this. The deluxe Room is lovely, but no balcony equals no view. A building is 1 metre in front.

Convenient location within walking distance of the town centre with unlimited restaurants and markets. The staff are amazing, a huge thank you to Ny and Ken who go above and beyond to ensure our stay was awesome. The personal card hand written was so lovely. The hotel is clean, the rooms were very comfortable, our room had a canal room with a lovely view. We especially enjoyed the bicycles which the hotel organised for us and the pool was great for cooling down in the afternoon.

If I am being picky, there is no elevator in the hotel but the exercise is good for the heart.

I am sitting in the lovely little breakfast area of Hoi An Canal House enjoying my last breakfast which is the most delicious bowl of Pho Noodle Soup .. included as part of my nightly rate ... my choice for breakfast is carefully noted the night before and delivered each morning with a gentle smile. To say that I have enjoyed my stay at Hoi An Canal House is an understatement .. I have LOVED my little room on the second floor. The room is simply but beautifully decorated and surprisingly quiet given the hotel's very convenient location, which is close enough to everything but out of the hustle and bustle of the actual 'old town'. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in every respect however it is the staff at Hoi A Canal House that really made my stay special. I booked late .. literally the day before arriving .. yet the communication from Ken and Ny was fantastic. They organised a driver and car who met me at the airport, And from my first encounter with Tre at reception I felt welcome and safe. All of the staff are so lovely and so very helpful, from Ken and all of the team on reception who helped me with bookings and reservations, to the great food prepared by the chef and restaurant staff for breakfast through to the night watchman who watched my 'tipsy' antics as I came in after a big night out enjoying the sights and sounds of Hoi An .. and made sure I was safe and sound in my room. If you are looking for a well cared for very reasonably priced hotel for a few nights in Hoi An .. then Canal House is definitely where you should stay.

I'm nit-picking but there could be more English Language TV channel options .. not a biggie but sometimes you just want to watch a movie or catch up on the local news from your home country.

The hotel is a short walk away from the center so it's further from the hustle and bustle of the tourists. That makes it quieter. There was however some construction going on just across the road so that spoiled it a bit. At night the road is closed for the night market so no annoying scooters honking. The room was big enough and luminous. The bathroom is well equipped. The bed a bit on the harder side but comfortable. The staff was very helpful and suggested things to do and also helped us with airport transfer.

Breakfast is a bit modest, doesn't have too many options, but it is prepared for you on the spot and quite tasty. From the pictures though I had expected a buffet, so that was a bit confusing. Wasn't planning on swimming in the pool, but it did look smaller than in the pictures.

What an amazing stay! Thanks to Ha (at the reception) and Ha (the chef) for all the hospitality and suggestions. Perfect location, just a 2-minute walk from everything - Ancient Town, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. If you're looking for a great stay within walking distance of attractions and the hustle-bustle, this place is perfect. Rooms were clean, AC worked perfectly fine, and the breakfast was great - ready on order within five minutes every morning. Booking bicycles and scooters is also easy, right from the reception desk and at nominal pricing at par with other shops.

Everything was perfect.

The staff's welcoming smile made me feel happy every time passing the reception. I also enjoyed booking a trip to My Son at the reception. For breakfast, you have to make an order the night before, which was not a problem for me. The room itself was quite nice, but due to the next building, there was not much use of the window. But Hoi An itself is so beautiful that one wouldn't spend much time with daylight in the room anyway. I also enjoyed the location - close to the old town, but not in the centre of the night life. Just perfect.

The pool is close to the street and doesn't feel like a place I wanted to relax. The furniture could be renewed. Some items seem to be old (the sofa).

I had an incredibly enjoyable stay in Canal House and found everything to be just perfect. The hotel's ideal location made exploring the area a breeze, and the exceptional staff were always ready to assist with a friendly and helpful attitude. The room provided a comfortable and spacious retreat, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the fantastic breakfast that came included in the room rate – a delicious start to each day. Although the hotel boasts a pool, I visited in January, and unfortunately, a bit too chilly for a swim. Nevertheless, I can imagine that during warmer months, it would be a wonderful amenity to enjoy. Overall, my experience was nothing short of delightful, and I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel for future stays. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a great breakfast made it a memorable and satisfying visit. I look forward to returning in the future

Great location! Short walk to old town and night market. Room was large and bed was comfy. Staff were very welcoming. Thank you Ny and Kin for your recommendations and hospitality! Didn’t use the pool but can see how it would be nice for warmer months. Would gladly stay here again

Our room had two balconies and you could hear the street noise in the room from the balcony doors. Wasn’t an issue at night but morning and day time there was a lot of noise in the room from the streets.
