This hotel is really lovely. It is a fantastic location and the staff are truly wonderful. The rooms are quite large and the beds are very comfortable. It also has a fabulous breakfast buffet which comes with your room. We were very happy at this hotel.

The only issue at all was that the side of the road where our rooms were was on a street that was very noisy at night. While the windows are new and very solid, they didn't keep the noise out. It woke us up, especially on the weekends. I think that other rooms in the hotel that face a different direction may be quieter - but it would be worth asking.

The ridiculous cost of drinks in the hotel’s bars. For example an Aperol Spritzer costs €9 at almost any bar or restaurant in Split. €15 at the Cornara! As a result the hotel’s bars are empty as all guests go out.

The location is pretty good, right on the edge of the old town. The hotel itself is modern and well-maintained, but does feel slightly characterless - apparently it has over 150 rooms, and most of those seemed to be populated by middle-aged americans - I've nothing against americans per se, but it does give the place an odd ambience. We had a double room, which had ample space for two people. The bed was good and the Wi-fi was faultless. Breakfast was decent - the usual beverages, fruit, cereal, bread, pastries and hot and cold cooked food. However, the bread was usually baguettes and there was no toaster. The staff were generally professional and friendly.

We tried the roof-top restaurant on the first night. The food was ok, but a bit expensive. The main issue we had was with the housekeeping - while we had no complaints about the room cleaning, they kept forgetting to replace items. We were only there for a week and in that time we ran out of tea, milk and shower gel. This happened over multiple days and each time we had to request more from reception. For the price I expected better.

The hotel is a two minute walk from the main gate to the old town, so the location is excellent. Cars cannot easily enter the old town, so it pays to be just outside so that your taxi or rideshare can drop you off at the hotel itself. We really enjoyed our stay here and it was a great hotel to stay at. Everything was very good and in particular the breakfast have a great choice, both as a buffet and à la carte. A very comfortable bed and a very good shower, a good size room and good lighting. Staff are all super pleasant and had a great attitude Would definitely come back again.

We loved our stay at the Cornaro Hotel! The hotel was beautifully appointed, in the perfect location in the old town of Split which made it easy to get in and out of the city if you’re traveling by car. The room was modern and spacious and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We also loved that it had central air conditioning that was quiet. One of our favorite things about the hotel was their roof top bar! The views were spectacular!! It was the perfect spot to watch the sunset! On top of that their breakfast buffet was substantial and impressive with a large variety of dishes, breads, salads, fruit, desserts etc. We were also very impressed with the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful, thank you for an amazing experience. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful staff that made our stay exceptional. Concierge arranged flower delivery and room set-up for a surprise for our guest. We had given them little notice and they happily helped us out and remembered all the small details. The concierge desk also helped numerous other times with tour guides, directions, restaurants reservations and suggestions. Also, great breakfast and staff. They are all kind, welcoming and helpful. Loved our room on the 3rd floor with great views of the city and sea. Highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

The breakfast was delicious and had a wide assortment of cooked, uncooked and made to order food, which was included in the hotel price. I was very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. The location was wonderful. It is literally next to everything and everything seemed to be less than a ten minute walk away in either direction. Also, it is conveniently located across from a grocery store, which is great if you are staying for a few days. The noise level around the hotel was quiet, although it is within the walls. The hotel is modernized, very clean, lots of closet and shelf space to get comfortable, and the bathroom was a nice size. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The amenities such as the steam room and sauna were a bonus. Lastly, I would be remised if I didn't mention the rooftop bar and swimming pool with amazing views, and the guitarist who serenaded us with beautiful songs one night. Overall, I would definitely stay again, and would without hesitation recommend to others who love and appreciate a five star hotel! You will not be disappointed!

This is one of the best hotels period. Excellent location - just walk out and in a few steps you're Old Town Split. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous roof deck with pool and incredible views of town/sea. I arrived on a Sunday evening (from DC) after an exhausting 8-hour travel delay. Met friends on the roofdeck where a DJ was mixing some fantastic House Music - so much fun and completely reengergized me (and I'm 60). The staff is very friendly/helpful, especially Maria at breakfast. The breakfast buffet....OFF THE CHAIN delicious! I prefer vegan over vegetarian and breakfast had sooooo many delicious options for all dietary choices/restrictions/needs. When I return to Split, I will return to the Cornaro.

The hotel is in a superb location, rooms and bathrooms were spacious and lovely decor. Breakfast was excellent with great choice and quality, and the restaurant and rooftop bar also had good choices. The fitness centre and spa are excellent and our whole group enjoyed their treatments there. The standout for me were the staff who from the start to finish of our trip were all so friendly and attentive. A particular thank you to Ana in guest relations who helped me out with organising our chosen excursions, airport transfers and restaurant bookings. Can highly recommend this place and would stay again if visiting Split.

Just a couple of small things - I feel extra charges for the pool and hot tub are excessive, plus the pool is only really for cooling off, not deep enough to swim. A complimentary bottle of wine was provided in each of our rooms which was a lovely touch, but as we were a group of 6 we wanted to sit together and have a drink, however we were told there was nowhere we were allowed to do this and were told we had to drink it in our rooms. We were eventually able to sit together in the main lobby but it wasn't quite the nice relaxing drink together we had hoped for.

We were delighted with this hotel. The staff were warm, friendly, efficient, competent and completely professional. The suite was outstanding with plenty of comfortable furniture. As well as an excellent breakfast buffet, hot egg dishes were cooked to order. Evenings at the rooftop restaurant and bar were a delight, with great meals and superb views over the historic city. The laundry service was fast and efficient. Located in the old town we could step out of the hotel and into history.
