Location is not walkable from train station. Suggest using hotel shuttle costing 12 sfr per room. Avoid taking taxi as they overcharge significantly.

This hotel provides the great value as it's quite close to train station (walkable distance) and come with affordable rate (if compare to many hotels around St.Moritz). We got room upgrade, this is unexpected for us. Room is super clean and cozy. All staffs are also kind and friendly. Especially a guy at breakfast room, he's so kind and very helpful.

1) Pillow is too soft for us. But we found similar in other hotels we stayed here as well. 2) This one may not relate to hotel but would like to add as note for other. There is a better way to walk between St.Moritz train station to hotel (especially if you carry a luggage). At train/bus stations, you go left there is a way go thru parking lot and go up with elevator to upper section of road. This is much more convenient than drag a luggage along the main road. There is no clear sign at station!

Hotel was located a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. Lovely atmosphere with a charming interior, decorated with old pictures from the Cresta Run & old artefacts like wooden sledges. The restaurant & bar terrace has a great view overlooking the lake. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We booked the hotel's driver/car to take us to the train station on departure which was great.

The shuttle service was a great help getting from the train station. The hotel overlooks the lake and we enjoyed sitting at the table and chairs in our room having a relaxing moment with a sensational view. There is a lot of character in the wood and history of the hotel. The elevator is so artsy. The center of the town is very close and the walk to the lake isn't strenuous. The room was clean and everything worked. The large deep bathtub was unexpected and rarely found in the hotels we were looking at. Check in was easy and since we were leaving before breakfast, they offered making a lunch that we could take with us.

With the older character came no outlets next to the beds.

Location was great overlooking the lake, close walking to train station and the centre of town. My room was very spacious & comfortable. I loved the old world charm of the decor.

While my room & the main areas of the hotel were good, the bar area absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. I discovered that the cause was someone actually sitting at the bar smoking which I understand is illegal in Switzerland. To make matters worse, the culprit was the older woman in charge of reception (possibly the manager??) Because of this it meant the bar area was not somewhere I could use during my stay.

Friendly staff. Nice breakfast that was included. If you arriving by train, don't use Google maps. Instead use the escalators that will take you up to the streets closer to the hotel. Beautiful view from our room of the lake.

Nice, old (>100 yrs) hotel with a soul of Swiss Alps and of course with todays facilities which make a hotel stay convenient. Great lake view from the room. Very good breakfast in a nice restaurant. And last but not least: fast and helpful staff. We are greatful to Kasia at the reception not only for her fast and professional service, but particularly for her support and advice what and how to see the most and the best of St. Moritz during just one single afternoon we had (our 1 night stay at Soldanella was just to change from Glacier Express to Bernina Express next day). Bardzo dziękujemy, Pani Kasiu!

Staff were superb all so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. From the first impressions with Ricardo who collected us from the train station what a lovely young man he gave us a bit of information on the short trip to the hotel and told us to take an umbrella If we were going out as it was going to rain he pointed out a nice place for lunch and helped with loading and unloading our big bags to organising us a table for dinner with a view, what an asset he is ☺️we need him in Australia. Staff at dinner were also very attentive,friendly smiling, helpful and professional we had a lovely dinner with a view by the window. The meal and drinks were really nice. We would definitely stay again.

No iron or ironing board available my husbands jeans were a bit creased but no one seems to notice in the dining room except me. No coffee sachets or milk available in the room, only teabags.

It was easy to drive to. There was free parking but they warned you before you arrive that there are limited lots. However when I was there, more guests traveled by public transport than by car. So there were plenty enough. I was early an so we’re many other guests. But you can sit in the bar and enjoy a beer and the view from the terrace. The hotel has a more vintage decor yet there are very modern facilities. The lift is small though. The room was not big but had most facilities a traveler may need. A surprise was the Hansgrohe shower with digital control of normal shower, rain shower and jacuzzi like massage sprays, everything from temperature to strength controllable from a digital panel. The room was clean. There is a tv with English channels, kettle with a couple of tea bags, toiletries, hairdryer, but no fridge. All the staff were super polite and helpful. Wifi was good. The breakfast had a great selection and was good. Note if you stay more than a day like I did you get a transport card that entitles you to free unlimited bus rides around the lakes and to as far as Maloja, and also free gondola rides to Piz Nair and Piz Cortasch. You can catch the buses at Schulhausplatz, a 6 minutes walk from the hotel. The whole area is lovely and deserves more than a day stay.

This was a touch of luxury for us. Beautiful room with a great view of the lake and mountains. We enjoyed the view while enjoying a drink on the terrace in the afternoon. The elevator to our room was appreciated. Breakfast was great. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was very nice. The hotel had a shuttle from the train station which saved a long walk. Communication with the hotel was very easy.
