We couldn’t have hoped for a better stay. The friendliest staff, very clean rooms that are serviced daily, good breakfast, great location, quiet at night, comfortable beds, the hotel has a warm family feel with the owner often around for a chat. The spa was a very nice addition, I can’t fault it. The walk into the centre is pleasant and probably just under 5 mins to the start of the centre.

Nothing, We booked the most simple room which was great for us, our friends had a slightly more expensive room, I think around 30/40CHF a night more and their room was substantially bigger and more modern with a balcony. I would probably book the more expensive room next time.

It had a swimming pool and sauna which we were not aware of. We also did not know that the hotel runs a shuttle bus on request down to the station in St Moritz. This is a real bonus as the hotel was far too far to walk and a taxi cost us 25 Fr.

The swimming pool was a little too cold for me 26 degrees which I guess is still acceptable. When we stayed there Cosmos and Sunshine holidays also had booked their guests here. On our second morning we had 2 seats reserved for breakfast but on among the seats for all the group travellers. This was not our best breakfast experience. On our first morning we had a table in a corner reserved for us which was just perfect and somehow I expected the same for the second day.

We loved Hotel Baren. It was just a one night stop off before catching the Glacier Express, but turned out to be much more than we had anticipated. The room was great, comfortable and spacious and the check in process was friendly and easy. We also had a view of mountains from our bedroom window! The breakfast was tasty, with a wide range of choices and a nice dining room to eat in. Finally, the shuttle service to the train station was easy to arrange and very efficient. We would definitely stay again!

There is nothing that we didn't like.

I liked being able to get a complimentary transfer from and the railway station. The hotel was quiet. All the staff were very helpful. The visitors card was very good and allowed me to travel to Corviglia for free. The maps and instructions about which bus to take that was given by the reception staff was very useful .

As far as I am able to judge, I am very satisfied with my staying. I particularly liked the furniture of the room and the cleanliness of it. What is more, the staff was very kind and welcoming and embraced all of our requests.

As for things I did not like, it is very difficult to find some. The only detail of the room that I can complain about are the curtains. Indeed, we woke up a bit early because of the brightness that penetrated through the light fabric.

The property is just in front the bus station, close to the city center and train station. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Free transport access, helped us reached Diavolezza.

Great location! Staff was amazing! We had a group of 13 and had a lot of luggage and they went above and beyond with the shuttle service. They even opened breakfast early so we could eat before our early departure. While we at breakfast they took the first load of luggage to the train. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel!

The shuttle between the train station and the hotel. The personnel extremely helpful. Breakfast ok. They gave us two bottles of water free of charge for our trip when we left. I was with a cold and ask for hot water to take a medicinal tea and gave me an electric teapot and cups.

The electric teapot could be in every room as an extra service to the guest as well as water in the fridge.

Great hotel, very nice ambience, spacious and clean rooms, very good breakfast. Staff is very polite and understanding. Our flight was delayed by more than 12h and we arrived past midnight at the hotel. They confirmed that we still can check in having in mind the circumstances and left our key at the reception. The hotel is situated close to the mountain and has great rooms views too.
