Friendly and warm welcome. Richard was very helpful and full of useful information about the local area and if we require anything during our stay. We stayed in the spa room looking out onto the pool area and it is spacious for a family. Getaway Inn Boutique Guest House is central located to many attractions such as mins away from Hunter Valley Zoo, fast food such as McDonald's and Cessnock pool and splash zone. Its value for money and great location for families. As it was hot outside it was perfect to cool off and have a swim in the salt water pool which was a hit with the children.

The location and friendly staff on arrival were great! The room was clean and had great communal facilities, which we enjoyed. That was different from other stays in the past, but a pleasant surprise!

The room was comfortable. I booked the family room that had a room upstairs and downstairs. It was spacious for the 5 of us who stayed.

Its not very clear that this is more like a house that has been separated into different hotel rooms.

Easy to access. All the places we wanted to go were just 10 minutes away Easy and fast check-in and check-out Parking on site The manager was very accessible and addressed questions promptly Air conditioning worked great in all rooms used Coffee and tea are available to start our day

Rooms were very clean! Staff was lovely and helpful but still respected our privacy and provided suggestions on getting to our event. The outdoor patio was lovely to sit in the afternoon with friends

Very minimalistic from a facilities POV but the place was quite cute and definitely a boutiquey feel about it. Great for just a 1 nighter for convenience of location.

the price. I could have stayed at Cypress for same amount, this place was just closer to the venue of the event I went to.

The owners were so accommodating when we needed to arrive earlier than expected and even offered to arrange transport for us to get to the wedding we were in town for. Great communication, location was perfect and the owners were fantastic! Would definitely stay here again!

Richard and Florence were amazing and I felt at home! The guest house is beautiful with many different areas you can sit and hang out in if you dont want to sit in your room. The transfers from Newcastle also made it very convenient and saved me from hiring a car.

It was a nice clean house with pool, basketball court, and clean kitchen. Place was clean & tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Richard and his wife were very good, very friendly and they make us very comfortable in our one night stay. Breakfast was served in the morning. Kitchen is shared but it was clean. The place is close to everything, 4 mins drive in Hunter Valley Garden, 3 mins drive to all Wine Tasting and 5 mins drive to all shops, Coles, Target, McDonald etc..and close to Hunter Valley Zoo as well. What we loved the most was very close to everything! Would love to stay here next time to see Hunter Valley Garden again, it was like a Paradise so beautiful! Thanks

No fridge in room so had to use the Shared kitchen fridge.. No dramas but I don't like sharing with strangers..
