First impression driving up we were excited with how cute it looked amongst the landscape, so easy to find with the sms we recieved prior to arriving giving directions to the guesthouse. Parking close by for unpacking the car, the verandah is so long, tables and chairs out the front and this is where we ate our meals overlooking the gorgeous setting, I loved meeting our neighbours outside the rooms and sitting around socialising everyone was so friendly and lovely, also entertaining lots of laughs. Hosts were lovely, greeted with big welcoming smiles, checking in to make sure everything is okay allowing time to ask questions, also telling us where the best spots were to go to view wildlife ie baby water hens by the dam, they encourage walking around and exploring the property. The room was spacious and had lots of character It had everything we could possibly need, well thought out even had mozzie repelliant in the bathroom. Extra blanket, hangers in the cupboard all the creature comforts you would have at home. it is so peaceful there of a night making it easy to sleep. Breakfast being included came in a beautiful picnic basket, plenty of food to eat ie fresh croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice etc. I felt like everything our hosts did and included in our stay they put their personal touch to it ie cereal in a a cute little container instead of the box it comes in, fruit in bowls with little cute lid covers. Where they have located tables and chairs, seats throughout the gardens for guests to use and enjoy. We spent alot of time in the pool was so cool and refreshing as temps were high and to our surprise in the room in a basket was big pool towels another example of how they have thought of everything. I will definitely be coming back to stay again at The Carriages Boutique Hotel and Vineyard

Nothing loved everything here!!!!! I really dont know how the hosts could do any better as they already have set a high standard with clean spacious rooms luggage bag holders, bathroom had hair shampoo, conditioner, body wash, handwash, lotion, shower caps, mozzie spray, toilet paper in stock. As I have said before they have thought of everything.

The location was great the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were lovely, as was the breakfast. We ate on the verandas watching the Roos and rabbits.

The beds were the biggest drawback. The mattress was ok, but the pillows were terrible. We regretted not bringing our own. They were thin with no filling. We ended up using one of the couch cushions instead. We also thought it could be improved with some games in the room such as cards or board games. Everything in the Hunter is far enough away that once you’ve done some wine tasting, you’re pretty much stuck in the room. Some games would have been really fun.

We stayed in the Rosebank Cottage as a family, which was lovely. We each had separate bedrooms and ensuite with lounge, dining and kitchen in between, with everything we needed. The hosts were charming and everything went well. Nice Continental breakfast delivered with muesli, croissants, bread for toasting, fruit, yoghurt, oj. Tea, coffee and milk provided. Lovely quiet spot with lots of kangaroos and wallabies about. Air con in bedrooms as well as a sofa.

Only thing, it was a hot day and there is no air-conditioning in the lounge/kitchen area, but there is a fan. There is a lovely open fire in winter though.

Absolutely lovely stay! the room was very nice and cozy. The fireplace was a real bonus and really gave the whole place a beautiful atmosphere. The breakfast delivered to the rooms each morning was a great touch. The bed was quite firm, but still comfortable enough. The location was fantastic, close to everything and the grounds were beautiful and very well kept.

The mattress was very firm, and I think if it had a topper on it, it would be better, but otherwise it was all wonderful.

Lovely hotel and a wonderful vineyard stay. The room was very cosy and quaint, though some of the furnishings and fittings were a little old and worn. The patio and the surroundings were so picturesque. Our delicious breakfast was brought to us in a picnic basket and we ate on the patio overlooking the greens. We actually saw some kangaroos from our patio on our last morning and that made our stay just perfect! Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Wow what a beautiful secluded location surrounded by bush and vineyards . The room had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. Then the breakfast basket arrived each morning which was so generous and fresh. Then in the evening we sat in the verandah enjoying the peace and quiet the perfect spot to enjoy some wine and cheese whilst listening to nature. Then if that’s not enough to entice you to this property there is also a pool which was warm and so enjoyable in early March as it is heated. This property is also walking distance to restaurant and a winery and a short drive to everything else the area has to offer.

We have stayed here a few years ago. The location is perfect for visiting the local wineries and also a few of the outdoor concert venues. We dined at a local restaurant which was recommended by the property owners. The property owners are so welcoming - it's like staying at a friend's house. Having breakfast on the lovely verandah each morning we enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surrounds, the local birds and wildlife.

The location was so central, we were never more than 15minutes from any of the locations we needed to be at over the three days and multiple events for a wedding we attended. The breakfast was a light continental style breakfast that catered to my gluten free needs 😊 We had the added bonus of a kangaroo and her Joey grazing for over an hour in front of our verandah for entertainment as we ate!

The bathroom vanity needs updating and the mirror could be much larger but it certainly met our needs.

The room was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Had everything we needed for our stay. Nerina & Alastair were very friendly & happy to have a chat. The beds were a little firm for me but that's a personal choice as I prefer a softer mattress. Amenities were sufficient. Breakfast was fantastic!! I knew we were getting breakfast but when Alastair showed up with a picnic basket with bread, croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc. it was very impressive & very yummy! Will definitely be staying here again!!

I actually can't say that there was anything I didn't like. It all met my expectations & my needs for the weekend with my friends.

The Carriages is in a beautiful location. It’s very quiet and peaceful where you can just sit inside or out enjoy a coffee and croissants in the morning while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Take a walk exploring the property and those around it. A 7min drive out for dinner and drinks or a 3 min walk for a wine with lunch. Or just stay in and use the facilities provided and have some family time afterwards. So much to do or nothing to do it all depends on you.
