Right from check in I felt like a valued guest. Check in was friendly, and offered suggestions for places to eat and visit. The apartment is large and our 1 bedroom villa looked out onto a a lawned area, visited by kangaroos. The property is eco friendly, using filtered rainwater and with electricity generated by solar panels, which was a plus for me. Both water and power were more than adequate. The hotel is a few minutes by road to Hunter Valley Gardens and Roche Estate, and central to other wineries in Pokolbin. The hotel also offers private winery tours and transport to and from local restaurants.

The facility was well serviced, the only addition I would have liked would be face cloths, but that is a small thing.

Stayed here for a wedding nearby. Love that it was surrounded by open field and nature. Spacious room. Check in was easy and staff was communicative!

No major issues. But the room had mozzies flying everywhere which meant you can hear them buzzing around you when sleeping. Would’ve been great if citronella candle or oil can be placed in the property. Bathroom shower glass had a gap which meant water was splashing through and getting the floor wet. No wifi in room except for common area which was a bit difficult since my service from my phone was quite poor too.

Straight up the guts hotel. Got a good price for a good room that does exactly all we needed of a 2 night stay. Comfy, clean, managed and great location. Staff are always lovely and helpful. Have stayed here multiple times and never had an issue.

Bathrooms need a bit of work to make it really stand up against some other places that come up in the same price bracket or cheaper sometimes. Have had 3 different rooms all with dodgy shower heads that leave the floor drenched and just bring down the overall feeling when you just want a nice solid shower.

As like for other wine regions we tried to find a hotel with a winery in walking distance. This one is about 500m from Bimbadgen Estate, which features a high quality restaurant, a cellar door and a pizzeria, and we made use of all of that. We had a friendly welcome at H Boutique Hotel (also by some roos, which enjoyed the rain), and got a big room, in fact it's an apartment with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room and a terrace. There's of course ample parking. Next to the reception there's an interesting shop / bar / cellar door... don't know what to call it, but we enjoyed a nice cheese and wine tasting there, and the next day a breakfast too (it's not open every day though, but we were lucky). It was perfect for the rainy day we had on arrival. Apart from the winery you can walk to, you're very close by car to every other Hunter Valley attraction and winery.

Nothing to dislike

Nice villa with a beautiful vista situated in the bush. Well appointed with two comfortable double bedrooms. Great location near some lovely wineries, like Calais Estate and the wonderful Kawul restaurant. We even had kangaroos grazing in the field in front of our villa.

Kitchenette could have a few more cups, plates etc and coffee making facilities. Bedside table lights are decorative but not practical. And the walls are a bit thin between the villas. But these were not material things and didn’t affect our enjoyment of the villa.

It was well presented in a quiet area. It was lovely to see kangaroos freely roaming outside our unit at sunset. In the morning we had hot air balloons flying over and so close. The staff were very helpful too Also we arrived around 5.30 (a little hungry) and were able to walk to the winery next door to have a great pizza.

For me the bed felt a little soft. Another issue that I always find in hotels is having only a quilt on the bed. I did notice a blanket in the cupboard but I think that was to make it warmer. I tend to need a sheet and light blanket as I run hot 😀

Great location next door to vineyards & close to golf course with really good restaurant. Super clean and the friendliest most helpful staff. Lots of little shampoos/ body wash bottles etc. Just the smallest thing but would have been nice to have a washcloth for showers, we were only there one night tho so no big deal at all. I would definitely be back if I were to overnight in the area :) note it only has a microwave (no oven/stove) in the 2 bed apartment which is clearly mentioned in the listing, so need to prepare for longer stays as most restaurants around closes at 3-4pm and Coles/ Woolies is in towns about 15mins away. The restaurant at the golf course closes at 9pm if you are stuck for food. There’s a lovely place on the premises that has some breakfast things/ coffee and opened at 10am when we were there. Overall, very lovely little stay :) thank you

The staff was flexible with checkin time, bed set up, the place was very clean and very comfortable, quiet easy access in the middle on the vineyard. We had a walk the next day and saw kangaroos which was very exciting for the kids and visitor. We then had lunch at the winery next door. Sitting outside in the courtyard was beautiful. This is my second visit and highly recommend it with family, elderly or just a bunch of friends doing wine tasting.

The location was amazing . We reached there a bit late around 7 in the evening but still the Property manager was there to help us .

The fridge had developed fungus and was unclean due to being disconnected from electricity for some time. However, after bringing this issue to the attention of the property manager, it was promptly addressed, and we were given a different room.

The bedding configuration I requested by phone to hotel directly and again by email to booking.com was not given in 2 out of the 3 cabins. But on arrival the young man on reception was very obliging and managed to change two of the three rooms and upgrade us for no extra cost to meet our original request. Lucky they weren't booked out!

The "2 bedroom " cabin was really only one bedroom with a king bed out in the loungeroom.
