We had a huge room for 2 people, which was very nice and comfortable. The room was spotless and had a view of the golf course as described. The location is great, close to restaurants, wineries, cheese factories, and other activities. It had good-quality toiletry products provided, compared we had in other accommodations. Overall, we had a happy experience staying in the Chateau, and we highly recommend it.

Only one small thing I would like to mention is that to rearrange the bed faces the TV. At the moment, the bed is at the side way from the TV. We could turn a little bit TV angle face towards us. Often, people watch TV in bed when in a hotel.

Loved the space in the villa, did not expect the amenities and room to move. Villa was clean and had a beautiful outlook onto the golf course, surrounded by kangaroos and hot air balloons. We enjoyed the quiet, did not hear much of our neighbours which was good. Staff on the whole were very friendly and happy, check in was busy and driveway was blocked which was really frustrating and none of the staff moved to rectify the blockage. At check out we mentioned a couple of issues but they did not seem to be impressed about that.

Didn't like that the reception area drive was clogged on arrival and nothing was done about it. The 'taxi' to move guests around was parked in the reception driveway meaning that no one could pass through which caused some traffic blockages, the doorman did nothing to rectify this. Advised staff at checkout that we had wasps in the room and the response was 'oh it's that season'. We also advised where the wasp nest was, an apparent plumbing issue with a valve constantly opening and closing quite noisily in one of the pipes connected to our villa and a faulty light socket - just trying to make the next persons stay a bit better but not sure that it was appreciated.

Golf was very good, the shop had everything that was needed and equipment was available for rent. The villa apartment was very spaceious and well equipped! Very nice areal, many kangaroos in the morning and friendly staff! Especially the cleaning personnel was friendly and considerate.

The Nineteen restaurant did not quite fit a 5 star hotel environment, it had self service and seemed a bit cold and more like a fast food place. The furniture in the room was a bit outdated and looked used, and the bathroom had lots of spiderwebs at the window and did not seem inviting to use the bathtub. It was a bit weird that the small spa area is only accessible if you pay the normal entry prices, especially if you are a hotel guest on site.

Perfect location in an amazing spot with great facilities and really helpful staff. The rooms are large and very comfortable with spacious lounge area, big balcony and a full size king bed which was really really comfy. The entire resort in amazing and so well set up apart from the distances between villas and facilities. This place is well priced for a luxury resort with a high end spa and the best golf course I have ever played.

3 things make a room great vs good and it's all in the bathroom, the big 3 T, towels - they were very good quality but small, toilet paper - they use the thin cheap one play stuff you find in a public toilet, Toiletries - Fantastic quality and range, replaced every day, quality brands, amazing fragrances except for the black soap which makes a real mess We were in Villa 10, at least a 10 minute walk to the bar, pool and clubhouse. They do have shuffle buggies but it was a bit of a pain.

Location in the Hunter Valley. Beautiful setting and fabulous for golfing too. Parking right outside our accommodation. Kangaroo's at dawn & dusk which was so beautiful to see.

Whilst my partner was golfing, I couldn't get any appointments in the spa not even to chill out as they were booked up 7 days in advance by which time we would have left. Reception were not interested and said it was run by a separate company. We stayed 3 nights and only had milk for coffee on one morning in our apartment. The mini bar wasn't replaced either after the first evening. I had to complain to the reception after hearing foul mouthed language and bullying behaviour of the head of Housekeeping to a young employee. Not nice to see & hear... saying she will 'knock her F***ing head off' when she get her hands on her' Terrible behaviour! Spoilt the morning to say we were at a 5 star resort. I reported it but had no apology!

The Chateau Elan was nice for the couple of nights we stayed. Situated in a lovely location within the Hunter Valley. The villa room was large and comfortable and the spa bath was relaxing. Our room overlooked the golf course which had a number of kangaroo and other wildlife. We dined at Legends restaurant for dinner and the food was delicious and of good quality. We utilised the pool and spa on the property which was nice but quite busy during school holidays. Overall experience was enjoyable and the staff were very accomodating.

The property could do with some updating.

The estate is beautifully maintained, blends in with the surrounding area, making you feel connected to the nature around, and is in a great location within the hunter valley, perfect for wine tours in the area. The room was huge and had a lovely bathroom and a balcony overlooking the golf course, allowing you to wake up and see the wild kangaroos on the property. The extremely comfortable bed and black out curtains allowed for an excellent night's sleep. All staff we encountered here were extremely friendly and helpful. We could not recommend Chateau Elan more, it is excellent value for money.

We loved the entire experience, one small recommendation would be to expand the machines and weights selection in the gym.

The locating and the scenery around the resort were awesome. Our suite was very spacious, clean and well appointed. Bathroom size was fantastic (no bumping into each other constantly). Nice big shower with good water flow and a deep comfy bath with spa jets, a large, wide mirror plus lots of bench and drawer space. The staff at the Elan were really nice, pleasantly engaging and super helpful. An awesome weekend.

Not much to dislike. Very Minor issues were - The heated pool didn't seem to be heated (was quite cool). The Legends restaurant didn't offer free choice a la carte at dinner time - it was an $85 2 course choice at best, so didn't cater for small eaters. Bed was a bit hard and wife commented on there being no full length mirror in our suite anywhere. All quite minor things really.

From facilities to team members, everyone and everything exceeded expentations! Check-in & Check-out - highly efficient & hassle free! Housekeepers - amazing and accommodating! Facilities & Room - better than the pictures! Events team - Sammi, Sarah, Kim, MD, super helpful and professional! True Blue Hospitality! All team members working over the weekend had smiles on their faces, greets and acknowledged every guest as though welcoming us to their home! This is something that you rarely experience nowadays. The villa was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, the golf cart service to take you to/from the bars/restaurants were greatly appreciated. The pool was very relaxing with pool towels provided. The villa had perfect temperature control and the bed gave a great nights sleep. The bathroom had some features that were aging but the functionality was not hindered. We had a wonderful time.

As the villas all face the golf course, there is a lack of privacy when people are walking around.
