Great spot for an overnight stay. Super easy out of hours check in. Friendly staff. Loads of parking with easy access. Easy to find. Really comfortable bed. Clean. Would be nice to have a set of cutlery and bowls and plates and a hairdryer. Some TV channels didn’t work. Definitely nothing vintage which was disappointing, needs major updates! All in all, a good place for a cheap overnight stay.

Although it is an old and pretty tired property, the rooms have all the necessities and they are comfortable. The owners are gradually renovating the whole property, starting with the outdoor space which will be a huge bonus. They are maintaining the rooms currently and will be renovating each room on an ongoing basis.

Keeping in mind that it is an old property, so there are things that really need updating but that is in the works. In the meantime, it is clean and comfortable so I can’t really say that there was anything I didn’t like.

The property is very well located, everything is walking distance, Coles, Woolies, Aldi etc...and even food joints are nearby as well. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely like to stay again in future.

It would be great, if a microwave is kept in kitchen. It would be super handy to warm food.

Very clean and comfortable room . Lovely swimming pool.

The only negative would be that the glass panel at the top of the door let the outside light shine through from the balcony during the night. I’m sure this will be rectified with the upcoming renovations.

This place worked very well for us to base ourselves as we spent two days looking around the Hunter Valley. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed very comfortable lovely big room. They're in the process of updating it so it's going to be even better this did not affect us in fact we rather like the nice 1970s tiles on the bathroom floor. . Excellent value .

It has a nice retro vintage feel, which I liked. The room was spacious and comfy, with fresh linens and updated art and accessories.

The bathroom was a bit outdated, but functional. I understand they are in the process of updating the motel, which is very exciting. For the price it was still excellent value.

Not a big deal, but the bbq gas ended and i wasnt sure i could replace it. Maybe visible instructions would be helpful.

Didnt like the look of brick inside bedroom. Felt like I was sleeping in a garage. But that is the building iwner’s issue. Hotel Management was great.

I do like that there is clear effort and thought put into the renovations transition that they’re doing. There are some very lovely touches, like the unique blankets and pillows on a clean and new bed. There is nice hanging art and an exceptionally clean bathroom.

There is some improvement to be made, I think that a microwave or an ironing board would really go a long way!

There should have been a sign outside with the name Cessnock Vintage Motor Inn. We could not find it and were told they are doing renovatiions so it was removed....We could not access the address at that time I forget why now.
