The staff member checked us in when we arrived around 10am(even before opening, let alone 2pm checkin)) so that we could change to dress for a winery booked luncheon. Our room had its own brand new modern bathroom. Excellent. The other shared bathrooms were also brand new. Comfortable bedding. There is a huge accessible open verandah with lounge chairs, tables and lounges which was a very welcome area in which to relax. Bellbird is a quite location and within 10 mins of Cessnock(where we had breakfast). I think the hotel may offer a pre arranged breakfast option. Parking on site is free and secure and covered by CCTV. Parking on the street outside is also safe and under CCTV coverage. The Hotel is under new management and has a lovely outside area and a great Bistro.

No room TV was of no concern to us but might worry others. No tea making facilities.

The staff were fantastic - I had accidentally booked the Friday and Saturday night when we would actually be there on Saturday and Sunday night. The Manager was able to rearrange things to help us out. A great experience.

It was not an issue for us (since we only used the room to sleep), but there is no TV in the room or fridge etc. However, there is a communal kitchenette with a fridge outside. I personally think this fits in with the historical vibe of the place, and the rooms are good value for money.

A chair in room would be nice No tea/coffee. Maybe a guests access area in the same area as rooms could help? Room deodoriser was overpowered

The staff accommodated my extra requests with no complaints. The private bathroom was AMAZING, the shower being the highlight, amazing pressure. The bed was super comfortable and the extra soft blankets was so appreciated. It was quiet after closing, and super secure.

I wished there was a tv or some sort of viewing device, but you get what you pay for!

I get it’s a hotel but there could have being a kettle for coffee at least. So I didn’t have to go out and get one especially when there was Steps to go up down at our age would be visable if you let people know the rooms are upstairs only

most of the staff were lovely especially the tall lady with Long blond hair, sorry i don't know her name but she was exceptional and had great customer service skills

The manager, dark hair short lady. She was rude when we booked in and out. She did not make us feel welcome at all and she was very arrogant.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were amazing. Lana very kindly drove me to town to get the bus for the wedding I was attending. I wasn’t able to book a taxi or Uber due to capacity and she very kindly offered a lift to town out of her own time. Thank you Lana!!

There may be a drainage issue in one of the bathrooms - I went to have a shower in the morning and the entire bathroom floor was covered in water and puddles, it’s quite a large space so I was a bit surprised. Regardless, I still enjoyed my stay and the the facilities were clean and well maintained.

Staff absolutely amazing, friendly, caring and always asking if needed anything. Food was beautiful absolutely cooked to perfection The property is old but the rooms and environment outstanding Being an old building added more enjoyment to the stay

Nothing at all

Being an old pub style, I love the history of the layout and keeping it close to original with pressed metal ceilings and fireplaces in the rooms. Some new renovations recently completed and the food was fantastic. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The room I had didn't have air conditioning, although other rooms did and it was a very warm evening.

The location was great,The staff were absolutely amazing! So friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome. They truly made our visit special. The room was comfortable, and the air conditioning was fantastic.
