The Inn was in the main street and close to everything. The breakfast was help yourself. The furnishings were quirky, comfortable and decorative. Enjoyed the well set out lounge-room and eating area. Even though it was located in the main street it was quiet. Liked the large relatively new and modern private bathroom.

The access to the Inn has a 3-4 levelled staircase at the front and back which made it challenging with luggage to carry. A lift would be an excellent addition. Breakfast had many varieties of cereal but very few options to put on the cereal. Yoghurt and little containers of fruit to add would have provided better flavour.

interesting decore quite quirky. very clean and inviting. really loved the yellow our room was painted, it is my favourite colour. the kitchen area was lovely and clean with ample crockery etc. The dining area and lounge area were lovely and bright with comfortable amenities.

the toilet seat nearly dropped us to the floor and it needs fixing in room 6. there was a powerboard that had obviously caught fire that we did not use as it had scorch marks on it. reported the toilet seat issue to the cleaner, on checkout. Must be noted that the website should state that there are stairs and no lift. I did ask at time of booking.and was sent a message can not accommodate. it should have said no downstairs rooms.

Self Check-in was super easy, with all the details shared beforehand via Booking.com's messaging system. Building itself was a bit old, but it added to the overall charm. Quite easy to locate the place on foot and accessible to the rest of the Town. Shops, Cafes and Restos are nearby, both Target and Coles are are just 10mins walk away at the back. The decor and interiors were quirky and cute! Very Insta-worty if you're into Vintage and Upcycled design. The Family room we got was spacious and cozy, and thankfully the toilet and shower were updated/modern with heating. Expected the free breakfast to be really simple and basic, but actually Pantry was well stocked with Milk, Juices, Cereals, Jams/Spreads and some Bread which we enjoyed. Next day we were allowed to leave our bags in the Lounge area, as we had to wait a few hours before our Trip out of Cessnock. Also, the Cleaning Staff were kind enough to allow us to use the Staff toilet to freshen up before finally leaving.

If not using any Navigation Apps, the Place could be easily missed from the road as the Signage of Vine Valley Inn isn't immediately noticeable. Google Maps to the rescue! =) Some Improvements: Public Toilet for Guests. Would have appreciated someone at the Front Desk even just for limited hours, so we could directly ask questions/recommendations on Restaurants and Commuting. Place can get really quiet at night, and a bit creepy.

Located in the heart of Cessnock, Vine Valley Inn is a convenient place to spend a night (or two) when traveling. The rooms are a bit quirky and may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they are comfortable and clean. The bathrooms in the queen deluxe rooms are much nicer than those in the other queen rooms. I especially liked the living room where we could gather with our friends after dinner. A very homey motel, popular with families with children.

The communal kitchen doesn't receive much attention from the staff in the morning, so its state and cleanliness depend on how well other patrons maintain it.

Loved the living op shop vibe where everything was eclectic but seemed to work beautifully. Lots of conversation pieces around. Loved it. There are 5 op shops on the main drag ! The rooms were spacious as was the bathroom. The kitchen was adequate (could have done with a few extra pots). The (all day ?) breakfast was simple and a lovely way to start the day. Located above a vacant pub which made it a quiet location. Within walking distance to Coles/Woolies/Aldi.

The carpets seemed to have a stale beer smell so a suggestion to re-carpet would be my only negative.

It was a nice hotel, the member of staff was a accommodating, the room was nice and clean and a decent size for the price. Location was also great as it sits on the main street with a range of local pubs and restaurants nearby.

Nothing really, I would say be mindful if you struggle with stairs (maybe 20 or so up to the reception and the rooms) as there are no lifts, this wasn't an issue for us but if it is for you then I would request support from the venue.

We have stayed at Vine Valley Inn a number of times when visiting the Hunter Valley. It's quirky, clean and in a great location. The kitchen and breakfast facilities are very convenient. We got the king room for the same price as the queen and the bed was very comfortable.

I would only be a fuss bucket if I suggested providing some yoghurt as an option for breakfast, as the options for breakfast were very adequate - cereal, muesli, oats, fruit, toast, eggs, jams and juice.

Loved how clean the room was and smelling nice. Room was bigger than expected. Air-condition and fan in the room! Excellent location with yummy Greek food across the street. Only Short drive to Hunter valley gardens. Friendly staff. Great value for money.

Stairs were not really a problem for us but for someone with limited mobility it might be something to consider

I expected an old style pub or backpacker hostel standard of accommodation. Vine Valley far exceeded this. The building is an old hotel but it offered refurbished motel style rooms with private bathroom which was spacious, modern and clean. Shared kitchen was well equipped. Common areas (dining, lounge) were spacoius and a bit "quaint" with an eclectic collection of furniture but served their purpose well. Carpets were old but clean. Staff helpful given my latish arrival. External stairs to upper levels may be challenging for those unsteady on their feet. It's located in a quiet, darker part of town so may look daunting at night but I encountered no problems.

No complaints. The accommodation exceeded my expectations.

Surprisingly quirky hotel (but was expecting that judging by the photos), like stepping into the past. Decor is eclectic, antique, lots of small things to explore, very warm ambient.

'Breakfast included' needs some clarification on the booking site. It's 'help yourself' on the kitchen (not complaining about the choices), so being prepared to a hostel style 'breakfast' is a must. Not a negative per se, just a bit unexpected.
