A very beautiful , individual hotel . Exceptionally comfortable bed . Great walk-in shower , big fluffy towels, high quality toiletries. Lots of thoughtful touches .We had a delicious breakfast in the pretty, sunny courtyard each morning . Marvellous home made orange cake as well as a good choice continental breakfast with everything you could possibly want and more. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were very pleasant and helpful. We were surprised and pleased that there was a lift. As a resident an included tour with the Marquis is available . Such a treat, he tells the most interesting stories and shows special artefacts .
We would have liked some sort of chest of drawers in our room . Everything else was perfect.

Staying at Casa Rocca Piccola was a truly special experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like guests in a noble family’s home, surrounded by charm, history, and character. We stayed in the Clock Room, which was spacious, elegant, and featured a large walk-in shower. It’s one of five rooms making it feel all the more exclusive. A highlight of our stay was the private tour given by the Marquis himself. His stories were engaging, filled with personal anecdotes and fascinating details about the home’s art and furniture. It gave us a deeper appreciation of the history all around us. Breakfasts in the courtyard were a treat, with a delicious selection of yogurt, cold cuts, fruit, coffee, and homemade baked goods. Kiku the parrot made occasional appearances, adding to the charm. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like unlimited coffee and bottled water during our stay. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel completely at home. Casa Rocca Piccola is a rare and unforgettable place. If you have the chance to stay here, don’t miss it.

Absolutely beautiful rooms in an historic building, it felt a privilege to stay there and enjoy it outside of normal visiting hours. All the staff were incredible and the breakfast was too, the freshly squeezed orange juice a real highlight. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. We enjoyed sitting in the garden whilst escaping the crowds and the central Valletta location made it very easy to hop in and out. There were lots of bars / restaurants in easy walking distance. The real highlight was the tour hosted by the Marquis De Piro for guests, held on Tuesday/Thursday and Saturday - it brought the building to life and is absolutely recommended if you stay on one of those days. We liked that there was no television and there was fast Wi-Fi throughout the Casa.
Nothing.

Good quality continental breakfast - plenty of choice. It was self-service for the food but coffee and tea were made for us by the attentive staff. It was pleasant to eat outside in the inner courtyard (entertained by the resident parrot!) This 'small palace' had an excellent ambience and is decorated uniquely and colourfully. Beautiful furniture, pictures, sculpture and fittings suited to this period setting; some of it is quite quirky, but it works. The free (for all B&B guests) tour of the private rooms in the home, given by the Lady Marchioness, was first class - detailed, friendly, unhurried, and full of interesting anecdotes. Our bedroom, a suite, was on two levels with the sleeping area up few steps (a little steep!) and a well appointed big bathroom (with plenty of hot water and good water pressure). The bedroom suite offers an elegant and peaceful setting with plenty of space for two; a mature adult setting. The room's atmosphere was enhanced by polished wooden floors, elegant furniture, big heavy curtains, and interesting family pictures.
In general everything was excellent. But a couple of things: - I might put a coffee capsule machine in each bedroom rather than only in the central breakfast area. - I might put a very small fridge in each room. This would permit the guests to keep their own water, fruit, wine etc chilled, and would allow the B&B to put a little fresh fresh milk in each fridge rather than rely on those capsules of 'cream' that taste unpleasant. - I might increase the discount on the cost of dinner in Casa Rocca Piccola's own restaurant (La Giara) from 10% to 15%. I think this would attract more of the B&B guests to take dinner there, in a city where there is so much high quality competition.

Everything! What a fantastic place to stay. You know right off that you are staying in a palazzo much as it would’ve been 100 years ago- although it’s much older than that of course. The BnB area is charming. I loved my room ( The Pineapple) which was full of colour and character. The breakfast choices were amazing and it was delightful to have breakfast each morning in the garden courtyard. The staff were great and it was also a pleasure to meet the Marchioness on a private tour of the public rooms. I was able to thank her personally for the cake and biscuits which she bakes for the breakfast. Those biscuits . . . mmm!

The courtyard where we had breakfast was wonderful, the decor, the history, the ambience & friendly staff; and the modern bathroom. And Kiku. The Marquis was very accommodating in granting us a look at some of the family's historical costumes during the tour of the palazzo.
In the Elephant room, the mirors over the chest of drawers were too high for me so I could only use the bathroom mirror, which meant I monopolized the bathroom. Also the area of the drawer needed more light. In the bathroom, the shower spilled water too close to the sink area.

Extraordinary bed and breakfast. Beautifully appointed rooms and the decor is classy. My room for my stay, the clock room, was spacious and stunning to look at. Had the most impressive shower..it was enormous. Staff are friendly, professional and so accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, even allowing me to store my luggage for free when I was in Gozo. From the first communication to my leaving everything was stress free and relaxing. Thank you especially to the marquis for the tour of his home, it was heart-warming to see the pride he has in his family and amazing history. Special thanks to the lovely staff at breakfast time, your smiling faces each morning and kindness was appreciated.
Bed was a bit firm for my liking, but that's only a personal preference.

Casa Rocca Piccola is really a special property. Pre stay communication was great. Arriving at the property is amazing moment... it is a museum, no doubt about it.... you are overvelmed with all the beauty and details of the house. Room is so lovely, attention to details. Highlight of the stay is a personalized tour provided by the owner the next morning after the delicious breakfast which is served in the patio. Atmosphere is so relaxing... The tour is so intriguing, humorous, interesting... you will love it... will not tell you everything, will not go into details, will not spoil it for you... you should come and experience it yourself... evwry tuesday, thursday and saturday... you will be amazed. Bed is sooo comfortable, sheets so smooth and nice
At arrival to the room was surprised that there is no TV which is, in my case used mostly to produce background noise... did not miss it at all, was glad it was not there, actually

The location is perfect in the heart of the old city. The room and the services exceeded our expectations. Everything shows a concern for the tiniest details you can think of so that guests feel really special and don't miss anything during their stay. Although intended as a city break, the trip turned into a journey back in time in a noble family member's shoes without the rigidness of the time's social demands. Thank you to the de Piro family for their commitment to protect the palace and its history and for the unique experience they have given us.

Rocco Piccolo is a unique bed and breakfast in downtown Valletta, Malta. A museum downstairs with five upstairs rooms, it is an ideal place to centralize your vacation stay. Spacious rooms and bath, outstanding breakfasts (including freshly squeezed orange juice, pastries and excellent choices of coffee and tea.) Staff are friendly and provide great service. The location is perfect—easy walking distance to all downtown sites. The museum tour is a special treat—filled with enriched history and interesting stories! We recently spent 5 days/nights there, and on a scale of 1 to 10, it is clearly an 11!!
