We had an amazing stay at Blue Gables! The house is charming, beautifully authentic, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Late check-in was no problem at all, and she even prepared a breakfast package for us since we had to leave early in the morning. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location is very convenient and offers a much more personal and comfortable experience than staying in one of the larger hotels. We would highly recommend Blue Gables to anyone visiting the area!

Karen, the owner, was awesome! From the time we arrived, she made us feel so welcomed, going beyond the call of duty to bring in our luggage (she probably felt sorry for the 2 old people). But she did it for other people, too. She made the absolutely best breakfast every morning. We were there 5 days, and it was different every day. She had home baked goods every morning along with a full breakfast that included some type of eggs sausage and bacon and much fruit. I can't rave enough about breakfasts, and I'm usually not a breakfast eater. The house is old, so have to expect a few creaks, but our room was quite adequate and having an outdoor gathering place with the rest of our party was very nice.

This was one of the warmest welcomes we have ever had, we were met with food on arrival despite getting here at 9am! Karen bent over backwards to make sure we were well fed and had everything we needed. The tea and coffee in our room was plentiful with biscuits and chocolates too! The bed was comfy, there were all the toiletries you would need - shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, we couldn’t have asked for anything else. We were in the basement room which lacked a bit of natural light but we had a nice little verandah to sit on. I saw a groundhog at 5.30am whilst I was on the veranda which I’d never seen before! Breakfast was filling and cooked beautifully with lots of flavour. It’s a 25 minute walk to the falls if you walk at a good pace.

This is the sweetest B&B! Karen is a great host and you can really tell she puts her heart into the place. Since it's a small B&B every guest gets a personal service and attention. Karen made a great breakfast and even asked us when it would be comfortable for us to have it. Also the dining area has free coffee, water bottles and snacks which is a nice touch that makes this place feel even more accommodating. We stayed at the room on the main floor and it was spacious and beautifully designed, with a sweet private balcony too. I would definitely recommend coming here!

Since it's kind of an old house, plumbing is a little bit tricky. The water pressure in the shower was a little bit low to my liking, and you need to make sure you don't throw any toilet paper in the toilet. Staying at the main floor we could hear every guest coming in and speaking in the dining area. We don't mind some noise but if you're sensitive to it maybe try asking for a room upstairs.

The staff experience was a delight and the house/location was perfect for our needs. We were able to walk to the Falls and also go to restaurants in the neighborhood. Having that neighborhood location was a great amenity. Having off-street parking was highly appreciated and I'm sure the neighbors appreciate it as well. The driveway was very large and very wide (enough for 2 cars side-by-side, so parking with our car was not a problem. Our room on the first floor was spacious and the outside porch was perfect for cooling down and sitting in the fresh air after a long day of walking. All of our breakfasts were delicious and a different meal was served every time.

The only thing we can think of is that breakfast from 9am-10am may be late for some travelers. We usually eat earlier, but we adjusted for the trip. It meant that we had breakfast and left immediately afterwards the day of our checkout since we had an 8-hour drive ahead of us.

The breakfast was excellent and the Owner was super kind to take my allergies into consideration. The dining area is gorgeous, and there are several cozy spots outside to sit with my coffee. It is a quiet neighbourhood just around the corner from the WEGO local public transportation system and a reasonable walk to downtown/Clifton Hill. The Owner was very considerate and thoughtful, and offered a calm, clean and quiet space. The decoration is quirky and eclectic.

There is a Frebreze scent plug-in that was overwhelming, which we finally located and removed. I would recommend letting the Owner know in advance if you have an issue with scents. We should have also asked how the A/C unit worked as it wasn't totally evident. But overall these issues were managed, and I would stay again there for sure.

The decor was utterly charming and there were many nice touches like a variety of snacks available. The hot breakfast was the best I have had at a B&B and we were able to request it for the time that was best for us. The good sized room was very pretty and comfortable with all the usual amenities. It is in a quiet location just around the corner from the WEGO stop, away from the Clifton Hill crowds and a 10 min walk from the White Water Walk. There is parking in the driveway or on the street.

The air conditioner was very loud but the fan worked great and was all that was needed.

Suburb attention to detail and service. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in (and we travel a lot!) Great communication with our hostess. Breakfast was delicious and the presentation superb. Allergies accommodated. Coffee, tea, fruit, chocolate and cookies provided as snacks. There is a fridge & microwave for guests to use. Mugs and wine glasses available for guest use. Short drive to local attractions.

The only (very small) issue: There was a lovely little freestanding electric fireplace in our room - but it has a recurring squeak when turned on.

Really enjoyed the hosts' responsiveness, warmth and great and delicious breakfasts. Location was perfect and close to the falls, leading to a pleasurable visit. Rooms were very clean and had AC, and access to a small communal kitchenette as greatly appreciated. We were even able to safely charge our e-scooters and the hosts didn't mind! Great spot and would definitely come back if we go back to Niagara Falls! Hostess also went above and beyond to make my partner feel special for her birthday :)

The single and only con for the whole trip was that the bed was a bit noisy, but we suspect that this was caused by a mattress protector or cover on the mattress itself.

Karen the Hostess is a wonderful Hostess, She was there for every need that came up, she provided bikes with a lock so your experience was more enjoyable. Breakfast was ready when you were, always Hot & if you walked away hungry that would be on you.. I can't say enough about how we were treated while are were there... Very close to everything, try the City Pass to save money on things to do...
