A short walk from the hustle & bustle of central Florence, this B&B just south of the Arno River is a perfect retreat for that afternoon nap or when you need nighttime silence. Inside the unassuming front doors, you’ll find a quaint yet luxurious domicile with high ceilings, chandeliers, and original frescos dating back ~200 years. The rooms are charming, with decadent furniture, ornate window curtains, and traditional Italian shutters. The wallpaper is necessarily Florentine, flowery and thin, and FYI, so are the walls… but hey, we didn’t mind. Ever wondered what it’s like to have an Italian aunt and uncle? You’ll find out here too. The cute couple will welcome you with helpful suggestions and apologies for talking for your ears off. They even sit down with you and mark out (on a map they supply) everything you could want to see or eat. Every morning, they personally cater the most delightful breakfast too and take your coffee or tea orders with relaxed—yet meticulous—attention to detail. Honestly, it was the meal and conversation we looked forward to most every day. You also have access to a lovely rooftop terrace with a view of the city domes. Almost makes you not want to leave each morning and just spend your time lounging around. Recommend very much.

We had a very spacious room with beautiful antique furniture and facilities. Marco, our host, was very welcoming and spent a lot of time on our arrival explaining the local area, restaurants and public transport, which was easily accessible approximately 250 metres walk away. He also gave us a great map of Florence and put all the relevant information on it. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented.
The residence (B&B) is on the first floor, up a flight of steps, with no lift. Although this was not an issue for us, it should be taken into consideration for guests with mobility problems.

Great location - close to public transport! The room was beautifully decorated and serviced daily - which was just wonderful to come back to after long days of sightseeing! The breakfast was light but exactly what we wanted and needed inbetween meals of pasta and pizza! The hosts were so very helpful and gave us an amazing insight into Florence and “must-do’s”!!!! Would highly recommended!!!!
If I had to think of a negative - the only thing is that because the building is so beautiful in its historic attributes - we could hear the keys in the old doors when others came and went! However our room had full blackout curtains so we could easily sleep in if needed!

The apartment has everything you need for a short staying. It is 20 minutes walking distance from the city center, 6 minutes to railway station by tram, which is 5 minutes walk from the apartment. There are few nice restaurants nearby, but the most of them are about 15-20 minutes walking distance. The breakfast is fine, the host could provide you with all necessary information about the city. The most enjoyable thing concerning the apartment is an amazing terrace on the roof of the building with stunning view on the Cathedral dome and the city.
Slippers in the apartment would be nice.

What a perfect getaway in Florence, Cristina and Marco welcomed us with open arms and gave us a complete run down of the must do and see in Florence. A wealth of information that we used as our itinerary throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and so beautifully appointed in keeping with the age, showing incredible artwork on the ceiling and walls. The dining area that was used for the breakfasts was incredible, Rooms were cleaned daily and replenished amenities . The proximity to both the bus and tramline is Bus about 8 mins, tram no more than 10 mins. We were also provided with a transport ticket that was such a great idea to make it possible to start our adventure straight away, which we did, The area was quiet and we felt very safe. Eating places close by, from Home Made Italian cuisine, to Chinese and Pizza. Would highly recommend Dimora Bandinelli as a perfect place to stay whilst in Florence
"The weather was not very friendly, but there were umbrellas there for your use if needed. There are stairs leading up to the entry of the residence, not suitcase friendly for us, but necessary, and thankfully Marco came to our assistance.

We loved staying here. Cristina is a great host, all her recommendations were top! She took time to give us the locals’ suggestions and I am happy we got to experience more than just the touristic Firenze. The place was very clean (in the real sense of the word from the dictionary, not just okay clean). The location was ok for us as it is just next to the touristy center, a 30 minute walk from the dome. The entire building is historical, the design keeps the character alive.

The stay at Dimora was really great. They were flexible till the evening for check-ins. The moment we entered Marco sat us down and pulled out a map with recommendations of things to see and places to eat while giving us historical tid bits about the major city attractions. It was very informative and it was great chatting with him. In the mornings it was great to have a conversation with him during breakfast. And also have homemade cakes made by his wife, Sofia ('The Boss' as he fondly called her) that were simply divine. It never felt intrusive. They gave us space after giving us the information but were there if we needed to ask them anything. A really memorable experience. Highly recommended!
Nothing as such.

This hotel surprised us with its atmosphere. We felt like we were transferred to the Middle Ages. It’s so old-aged and at the same time quite modern. The room was very comfortable and pleasant to live. Nice bathroom. The hosts were both very responsive and helpful. It was great to have opportunity to buy parking ticket from them. The hotel is located in a beautiful place, close to the river Arno. And in a walk’s distance from the old city centre. The breakfast was very tasty and nutritious. We definitely would like to stay here for longer. My recommendations for this nice hotel.
There were no notable minuses.

Our first visit to Florence from Nashville TN! Marco and Christina were amazing hosts! At arrival Marco met us at the door to help carry our luggage. He sat us down with a map and many recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to enjoy. Our room was beautiful! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner was a welcome relief in hot July! Breakfast was great in a beautiful room with frescos in the wall and ceiling. We did visit the top floor terrace and wow! You can see the Dumo and the city. It was beautiful. We will definitely stay here again if we can return to Florence. We loved that it was away from the crowds but walking distance to town.

Breakfast was varied…plenty of choice, both savoury and sweet. Everything you needed. The bedroom was spacious , simple and stylish. Beautiful frescoes on ceiling and also in the calm breakfast room. In fact there is much attention to detail everywhere. The location is ideal; one is at a distance from the noise of the centre, but it is lovely to walk the 10-15 minutes along the Arno to reach attractions and Dimora is well served by buses and trams if one wishes. Particularly useful is to take the number 12 bus to San Miniato. But, of course, the best things in Dimora are the attentiveness, kindness and helpfulness of Cristina and Marco. Excellent , charming hosts who are happy to do anything to facilitate your stay, from giving plenty of useful information ranging from transport options, to key tourist points, to restaurants and in terms of reserving tickets and taxis. Grazie! And in the nearby district there are plenty of dining options if you do not wish to return to the centre.
A minor point…but really more a suggestion…..perhaps with the toiletries in the bathroom, , there also could be conditioner and body cream.
