Location is fabulous. Prime spot in broadstairs. The bed was super comfortable.

The hotel is looking somewhat tired. Could do with a bit of a facelift. Hallways are worn and paintwork shabby in places.

Location is perfect. Staff were friendly and the bed was huge, comfy with good quality bedding. Plenty of products in bathroom and coffee selection was amazing. I'm a decaff drinker so was so grateful for the selection I could have. Breakfast was great and the waiter at breakfast was really lovely! He really perked me up in the morning with his enthusiasm and kindness.

The bathroom was quite dirty, and the bedroom window, despite paying extra for a sea view, was so dirty I could barely see the view which was a real shame. The hallway leading up to the rooms requires decorating as someone has tried to patch up the walls by painting patches but it looks very bad. The cleaners had used really strong (not very pleasant to my taste at leaste) air freshener so when I arrived the smell was overpowering. Not being able to open the window meant I couldn't get rid of the smell sadly.

Our room (number 28) had a most beautiful view over the sea and harbour. The staff were all polite and helpful. The room facilities were great, especially the bathroom and the coffee machine. We were given fresh milk in a flask which we liked. The breakfast was really good - lots of variety with hot dishes cooked to order.

The windows are extremely dirty which is such a shame. Some breakfast buffet items ran out later on during breakfast service. Free parking is available a little distance from the hotel but there is nowhere immediately outside the hotel for drop off.

Room was spacious Plugs either side of bed Long mirror ( perfect when dressing up to see what full outfit is like) in room as well as a dressing table Bath was huge and lots of free toiletries (luxury) Had lots of towels/ spares Bed was very comfy

Had to ask for milk at reception for tea or coffee instead of being in room, each time I went out I had forgotten to ask for them so I didn’t use much of the beverages supplied as much as i would of liked And wifi often wasn’t connecting I had had to ask a few times for it to be checked And wasn’t a smart tv So wasn’t able to put a movie on

The room was really lovely, nice and spacious with an amazing view of the sea, could lay in bed with windows open and listen and watch the sea as in top floor room, very comfy bed, added bonus coffee machine

The breakfast was such a let down, we waited over 20mins to be served and take our order, had lots of spare tables, then waited again over 40 mins for cooked breakfast, even when we asked the young lad looked confused, apparently a lost ticket, when arrived it was pretty poor, they have plenty of space in the cereal and toast section to put help yourself lift up trays like most hotels have, saves a Lost Ticket ,overall took Hour and 10mins for breakfast

The Royal Albion is a quaint old hotel. One would not be suprised to find Miss Marple knitting away in the lounge while trying to work out who did in Mrs McGillycuddy on the 4.50 from Paddington! Its also VERY dog friendly The single room was ideal for my purposes and very well appointed. There is a delightful breakfast room overlooking the sea and a good solid breakfast with lots of extras to set you up for the day. The pub food was very generously portioned. And they serve Kent made wine in the bar - result! English white wine is very complex and flavourful, not like the industrial stuff one necks. It has to be drunk slowly and enjoyed. If Broadstairs is about one thing - it is the Beach at Viking Bay. This hotel overlooks it and there is a staircase leading down to it right outside the hotel's back door.

It was all fine and dandy. But at some point, the hotel is going to need a serious upgrade. I appreciate that it is very likely a listed building, but it is going to need a lift and access facilities for those with mobility issues. I would love to bring my sister here, but she has mobility issues which would make it impossible.

The room was very pleasant, had all I needed. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful (though I wished they didn't say 'No worries' so often - or at all) The breakfast was excellent as the reviews said. (I wish I'd been hungrier.) I was grateful to the people who carried my case up to the second floor and down again the next day. I should have thought to ask about a lift when I booked, though I perfectly understand why there isn't one.

When I got to the room the window was very slightly ajar. It was a VERY cold day so I shut it immediately, but the room didn't really warm up properly until about midnight - so it was a pity the window had been open. Single glazing didn't help either (unavoidable, I know). When it was dark and I closed the blinds there was a noticeable difference. I would also have liked more in the way of a comfortable lounge downstairs. Most of the ground floor was devoted to drinkers and their friends, with a small dark area with more comfortable-looking chairs. I wanted to sit and read but the light was poor and the seats full.

Lovely location, the breakfast is exceptional. Great choice and loads of it in a delightful breakfast room. Lots of choice of drinks and food in the restaurant for dinner. Very friendly staff. We stay here regularly.

It would be good to put a note about milk next to the coffee making facility as I didn't know you had to get milk from reception. My husband checked us in so I didn't see the sign at reception. I just assumed they had forgotten. Just a tip for the hotel. No big deal. The black coffee pod was actually yum even without milk.

Room was newly decorated , it felt nice and fresh with lovely accessories . We had a wonderful outside area to sit and enjoy the view. Location is perfect, overlooking the sea , the restaurant has a lovely area to dine and enjoy drinks.

I found the bedroom too cramped, there was a lot of furniture in it, which made it hard to move around and store things. No wardrobe, just a rack for clothes, which was fine as we were only there for 2 nights, but any longer could have been a problem . There was also a huge desk in the window as well as a chair, a stool and 2 bedside tables, A sliding led door to the tiny bathroom which had a shower and a toilet...using the toilet was may prove difficult for someone of a large stature, it was like using the toilet on a plane!!
