This place is great. We booked for one night and were thoroughly pleased with our accommodation. Very clean, simple but comfortable facilities, plenty of tea, coffee, milk and a shared fridge on the landing, for guests to use. Great location, directly overlooking Ramsgate harbour, the icing on the cake would have been a harbour view, which we will ask for next time. We thought that this was very good value for money, breakfast is not included but there are plenty of local places to eat, we went to Wetherspoons for breakfast, close by and good value. There is a bar downstairs, open until early evening. the staff (especially Bailey), could not have been more helpful or informative. Parking in multi-storey literally just around the corner and several independent little cafes / bars at the bottom of the steps leading up to the terrace / bar area. Easy walking to either Pegwell Bay in one direction, or Broadstairs, in the other direction. The only (slight) negative, is that there is no lift and rooms are on the second and third floor, so be aware of that if you have issues with stairs (Bailey carried our bags up for us). A lovely historic building in the centre of Ramsgate.

Can't think of anything.

The room was very clean and had a beautiful view over the port. Also the whole interior of the hotel is charming with a nice nautical theme. Finally the beds were very comfortable.

The communication from the hotel wasn't very clear. First of all, their booking.com account was hacked so I got loads of phishing messages (I received an apology for this but still). Secondly I didn't get a clear response on when and how to check in (or well I got conflicting information). And finally some key information like how to get into the hotel after hours and how to connect to the WiFi was left out. Besides that, they didn't offer breakfast, but that wasn't a big deal.

The room is great location, very central and nice views of the harbour in the club house bar. The staff were very helpful, from the communication before arriving to when we were there. Bailey went out of his way to help us find where to go for the evening, giving recommendations and even telling us about nearby blues festival so great to have the local knowledge. Room was very comfortable. Found reasonable parking about 10min walk away too.

The shower didn't work very well - it was very hot and was unable to get the cold to work on it. I think that just needs a fix and we were only there for 1 night so it wasn't a huge problem. But if there for longer would have needed to ask them to look at it. Otherwise it was all great.

This is the second time that I have stayed at the RTYC. I was in Ramsgate for the Broadstairs Blues Bash so the value for money aspect as well as the position close to the Thanet Loop bus stop (which also provides access to Margate) made this a great choice. Although no meals are available - there are loads of restaurants and cafes a few minutes walk away. This includes a Weatherspoons as well as lots of independents too. The club are is available - and the terrace looks out over the harbour. All the staff we very friendly and helpful.

I have no complaints!

Checked in at the bar. With a really friendly welcoming young guy. Who showed us to our room. He told us about parking. Asked if we knew the area. Which we did. He gave as some info about what was going on and what to visit. The room was overlooking the harbour. It was a big room & very clean. Bright white linen on the bed and white fluffy towels in bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Nice shower. Tea & coffee supplied.

No Negatives.

Lovely traditional old yacht club with great views over the harbour, but the best thing was the staff - shout out to Lisa who was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful! We had bikes in a posh old yacht club and Lisa was just so helpful in making it easy for us to stay and store the bikes in the old TV/meeting room! She even came in early on the morning to make sure we were able to get away on time.

The room was a little tired but its an old building and part of the character of the place. Still comfortable enough with a decent shower etc.

Brilliant location near the harbour but away from the noisy bit. Above some lovely restaurants and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy to come and go even though it’s not staffed at night. Bar would have been nice during afternoons when open though we didn’t use it. Interesting place to stay and comfy beds, view was great, shower decent. Fairly no frills but all good for what we wanted and clean and comfortable. We were able to leave our bags after checking out. We had a good recommendation of a cafe for breakfast just down below by the harbour.

Nothing really. Lots of stairs and reception hours could be a problem for some but staff were very accommodating and we would definitely stay there again.

Very central. Easy directions to access the property out of hours, as I was arriving late (very late as it happened, due to train delays checked in 1am!) Safe for me an intrepid solo traveller with my pushbike, that I ended up locking in the yacht club the first night. Found an outdoor area that felt safe for the second night. Lovely selection of teas and coffees. Shower was superb and bed very comfy. So much history in this building and the view over the harbour was a bonus.

I was a little worried that the reviews would not match the reality and that it would be old, tired and worst not clean?! The reviews were spot on so want to add mine. Even though Carnival day we got parked easily by the hotel (followed Sat Nav). Parking free between 6pm and 9am so that was fab! Staff gave lovely welcome and helped us upstairs with bags. No lift but me, my dodgy knee and 85 year old Mum were fine getting up two short flights of stairs. Twin room was big, just incredible views as shown in website picture but better. Room and bathroom spotless and very nicely decorated. Really comfy beds 💕. Can’t fault it, had lovely stay will be back Thank you 🙏🏻 Xx

A lift always nice but actually appreciated that it would not be a good fit in such a building.

The Hotel was lovely. really Great Building with a lot of History. staff were very friendly and helpful the room was very comfortable and clean had good sleep on our stay

My only two issues was that because the Building is very old it Didn't have a lift and the Stairs To the property was a little bit steep I wouldn't stay again as lovely Building to stay in and will be Better once they get a restaurant up and ready for meals and breakfast and they are going through New management
