The hotel was well equipped and maintained. The staff were very helpful. One went out of his way to take us to the gym which was hard to find. They lent us umbrellas and have good recommendations for shopping. Best of all was the restaurant. It rained one night so we decided to eat in. The food was very high standard. For example there was one delicious starter of raw minced fassone beef with caper ice cream, Parmesan and mustard sauce. Inventive and delicious. I also had the vitello tonnato and it was one of the best I have ever had. The breakfast was of a similarly high standard. Freshly squeezed orange juice, cappuccino made on request and soft tasty scrambled eggs. I would happily return to this hotel and certainly the restaurant.

Quite a long walk from the town centre. But it did have a car park right next to it.

The staff were lovely, we are non drinkers and the bar staff went out of their way to support us. I had a meal in the evening there and it was lovely. I'm a vegetarian and no problems. We had some issues with soya milk in the morning, but the breakfast was generally excellent. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The AC only works in the summer, but if you get hot in winter, just open a window!

We arrived by train from Milan and there were no taxis at Parma station when we arrived at night, the station seemed a little dodgy, as would any station at night. I managed to use my broken spanish to ask another local to book a cab for us, after calling the hotel and being told to call again in 15 mins if we had no luck!

The location was perfect, it was lovely and quiet, but also very close to the old town so it was very easy to walk to all the main sites. The decor and layout of the hotel was excellent, it felt very calming as soon as you walk in – and my friend and I fell in love with the big grey 'throne' chairs in the bar area! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the whole experience there was very relaxing. The snacks with every drink we purchased were most welcome too! The final shout out goes to the amazing shower and very comfy bed in our room :-) Suffice to say I would highly recommend and will definitely stay there when I come to Parma again.

Reception staff, Stefano and Stefanie, were extremely helpful with excellent guidance for making our stay simply the best! Parking, calling a cab, information regarding the museum and directions. The ambiance led by design of the reception and restaurant area as well as our room decor and comfort of the beds was appreciated. Breakfast was delicious!!

It was a bit of a long walk to the part of town we wanted to spend our 24 in. Otherwise, no cons!

Nice Hotel, parking lot available at charge. Rooms are very nice and big. The view from our window was good and the location is good too, in a calm neighborhood…I wouldn’t advise it for and elderly couple or if traveling with elders, since the walk to the old city may be long.

Even though it was good all around, nothing “wowed” me.

A little disapointing the fact that due to summer break, there was no restaurant or room service available. Since it is a hotel that offers it, it should be offered all year round. In addition, the staff did not advise you of any alternatives.

the breakfast was amazing. the concierge assisted us in determining a castle to visit. and the other concierge organized a Parmesan tour for us. so nice! the young man who handled suitcases etc was so helpful and assisted my husband with parking. just very special people here. the on site restaurant was excellent as was the bar.

I've been there twice. The service is fantastic. The concierge staff helped me with activities, phone calls for reservations and most importantly by holding a package for months that had been returned from the states in a mishap. thank you all!

The staff in the hotel were wonderful, from the doorman to the housekeeping staff, everyone was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding!

location was great only a couple of minutes from the centre, nice decor and the food was also very good.

no tea/coffee facilities in the room really complicated light switch combinations it’s not quite 5* as I would expect that and perhaps dressing gowns etc but considering what we paid it was excellent value
