It was an absolutely amazing experience! Dinner and breakfast were superb, we were woken up at our chosen time with some hot juice (an absolute must) and we had a great time exploring the hotel and admiring all it had to offer. Just outside the hotel, they had a massive snow mound you could slide down and you could skate on the frozen lake and it really was fun for everyone, not just the kids! The hotel's Sky Bar was also amazing although the lights were a bit bright to be able to see out at the sky so a little anticlimactic but it was a wonderful place to relax until you were ready to sleep and the drinks were amazing, best shots I've ever had!🤣 The locker room and toilet facilities were nice and toasty and very clean. The rooms despite being snow and ice, did have an extension plug which was a nice surprise.

No one expects sleeping in a room of snow and ice to be comfortable because it isn't. It sounds stupid to say but it was very cold! The sleeping bags they provided us with were very good and they did the job but even if you stuck your nose outside of the sleeping bag for a second to get some fresh air again, you were reminded just how cold it was so you had to choose between fresh air that was too cold or hiding in your stuffy sleeping bag! But never the less it was an amazing experience, just not a comfy night's rest.

Location for observing the northern lights, the quality of the igloos and the available facilities were simply superb

Our only comment is it’s a pity that such a unique and romantic hotel did not have an area/restaurant for adults as the main restaurant was very noisy with children

OK Son staying in this hotel is more of an adventure in itself than lodging... if you stay here maybe your not looking for a relaxing comfortable night sleep but more for an experience. And this you will get, I recommend staying FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY, experience it and have fun and go back to a normal accommodation.

I understand many of the inconveniences there are from the Ice rooms, however, a door however thin or unlocked would have helped for a more private feel during the night as well as blocking the sounds of people walking by, Given there are no bathrooms in the room, there are lots of people walking to the bathroom at night and you can hear all the movement since you only have a curtain.

Everything was amazing. Worth the money spent for the experience( we got long hours of aurora ). Due to this reason felt worth the money spent. -Breakfast was excellent - hotel pick up and drop service (paid separately) was good and on time. -they responded to emails and messages fast and was able to make changes at the last minute. - you get access to ice hotel if you are staying over night

- some of the staffs are not friendly or generally they are unhappy in life( not even a smile or happy face ), it’s Christmas and holiday season. - Dinner options were expensive minimum €49 or €69 without drinks. So it can go up to 100 per person. Can have different food options for that price. -igloos are very close to each other (not a major issue), but it’s so visible from the other igloos - it was told that the staff would be cleaning the ice/snow on the igloos glass, but they never did ( so I had to clean it - even through they had a strict policy of guest not touching or cleaning the glass) - heating can be better - only once side of the glass had heating and rest of the room felt really cold.

The uniqueness of the accommodation. The restaurant ambiance is amazing as so was the food. The experience of the hot tub under the stars! The staff are so friendly and helpful. One on my favourite places I have ever stayed.

Having to leave.

Beautiful place. Highly recommended. Staff was very hepful and nice. Food was of great quality. The glass ceiling is a fantastic idea. You get to see the gorgeous sky and aurora even from inside. Loved my room but they are kinda small so I wished I had reserved a bigger place. Only issue was finding the room as there is no signal that shows which path to take since the rooms are placed in two different groups. Also because of no lights at nights (to be able to see the aurora) and me having arrived late, it was hard to find my room. Wish I had stayed there in december to get to se the ice hotel too. The only other issue I have is there is no staff in the reception after 10pm so I felt concerned about needing help and not having access or room service. Thankfully no issues.

Staying under a glass roof was a memorable experience. The room was warm and clean. The staff was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and cooperative. Although the best time to visit this place is after 15th December when the ice hotel and bar are functional we still enjoyed in Autumn.

There is nothing to dislike but I have some suggestions. 1. Put a fiber glass sheet or cover the bathroom roof some way. There is no roof over the bathroom and if you turn your light on in the evening/night the whole bathroom is reflected on the glass roofs that is visible from inside and outside of the room. 2. Hotel should provide sleep eye masks in every room. They are important since you sleep under a glass roof and sleeping can be difficult specially when sun starts to rise very early. 3. Put a microwave in the breakfast area

Very nice resort with the igloos and the snowhotel. Nice snow and ice sculptures, make sure you wear more layers when you visit the snowhotel and the ice bar! Reception and sauna staff were great. Provided a complimentary dinner on the 24th when the other restaurants were closed. The ice sauna and jacuzzi was a really special experience, well worth the price, included use of a private standard sauna as well. There were 2 reindeers as well that you could feed and free use of their toboggans, kick sledges and snow tubes!

The glass ceiling system didn't melt the snow on top automatically as described, which was the main point of staying in an igloo. The igloo was a bit smaller than expected, but the bed was comfortable and good that it can be raised up. The lighting inside the igloo was too dim. Not enough hot water to go round for everyone if you wanted to take a longer shower, so preferred using the shower facilities at the sauna place. The open-fire salmon was quite overcooked at the Kova Restaurant.

It's literally an extreme experience. Fantastic art, unique location, well organized team and very cold weather. However, we did see the northern lights here, as the hotel provides surveillance call, the weather was cold and clear, and there's the frozen lake just in front of the hotel which is an ideal location to observe the sky. We spent one night in the ice hotel. Depending on what you can stand, it can be fun or nightmarish. We really enjoyed it, although for a moment, when it was so cold, we wondered why we'd spent money on it. But when we look back on the stay, we feel really happy and lucky. One word is, if you decide to spend a night in the Ice Hotel, please don't expect the comfort you would expect in a conventional hotel. Ideally, you'll come to the hotel with only a backpack. It's for a unique stay, not for luxurious comfort. By the way, be aware that the hotel is far from Rovaniemi, so there is a shuttle service. If you are 3 people, a taxi will cost you about the same price.

The place is incredibly original and arty. It is fascinating, like a museum. Every bedroom is unique and has its own design.. You can visit them all during the day (it actually is a museum until 10pm...if you want your room not being visited you need to put a sign 'do not enter' at the entrance) We loved hanging out in the Sky Bar for a few hours at night as they have board games. The sauna in the morning after the freezing night in the ice bed was just perfect. Breakfast is good. The introduction tour was good to have and reassuring considering the extremeness of sleeping in a ice bedroom. Rooms are quite surprisingly soundproof considering there is no door, just a small curtain.. Very enjoyable as I was fearing to be awaken all the time by people walking past or talking.

The logistic of sleeping in an ice bedroom is quite tedious. You need to live your stuff in a locker away from your room. Locker is big for a backpack only so suitcase need to stay in the car. Going to the toilet at night means you need to put back all your winter clothes on as the bathroom is a few minutes way away. The experience of the night was good, duvet and mattress were good.. Nevertheless we only managed to get 3-4h of sleep.. Remember you sleep in a - 5 cold room. I enjoyed the experience but would not do it again.
