I had a truly lovely stay at Hotel Jerónimos in Lisbon. The location is absolutely perfect – nestled in the beautiful and peaceful Belém district, just steps from the stunning Jerónimos Monastery. In my opinion, this is by far the best area to stay in Lisbon. It’s much calmer than the city center and offers a gorgeous setting for walks around the park, near the iconic Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. And the cherry on top – the oldest pasteleria in Lisbon is just a two-minute walk away, where I had breakfast every morning! My room was clean, cozy, and had a beautiful view of the monastery. It had everything I needed as a solo traveler. The only minor downside was a faint smell from the bathroom drain, which I believe was just a temporary issue. I reported it to the staff, and I’m confident they’ve already taken care of it. I especially want to highlight the breakfast – it was absolutely brilliant and felt very exclusive. The staff at the reception were warm and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions I had. Free street parking right in front of the hotel was a huge bonus as well.

The hotel is in an excellent emplacement nearby le Palais Jeronimos, a jewel of Portuguese Classical architecture. You can park your car (after rush hour in the middle of the day) for free in the street in front of the hotel, or if you prefer take a pleasant trip in the typical electric trains that are perfect for site seeing and take you to the centre of Lisbon. I would say that this is a perfect place for lovers of classical architecture and contemporary art with CCB nearby, a place curated for lovers of fine art without being bothered by the masses of people. Perfect for couples that appreciate an intimate scenario with good quality of service and interest. Enjoy your wonderful breakfast but leave some room for the famous pasteis de Belem that you can try just around the corner. Enjoy!

Location was fantastic -- across the street from the Jeronimos monestary and maritime museum, art museum, near restaurants and large park; near the river, Belem tower, etc. though maybe too far to walk unless you are young or athletic, which we are not.

Actually, there wasn't anything we didn't like about it. My only bummer, which definitely colored my view of Lisbon, was that I got my purse stolen in the maritime museum -- be careful, be vigilent!

The power outlets weren’t working (I only found one functional outlet in my room). Public parking outside is available in the evening, but it’s difficult to find a spot during the day for obvious reasons. The paid parking lot across the street is a good option until the evening, but the EV chargers are not operational. If you have an electric car, the best place to charge it is at the Galp station on Avenida da Índia near Belém Tower.

Very nice location close to Belem, an area with a lot of monuments, restaurants, gardens and the river. The hotel is very nice, and the breakfast is amazing. The room is a bit hot but the A/C works perfectly and quickly refreshes the room. The cleaning and kindness of the staff were great.

No parking place however, parking in the street of the hotel is free of charge. The A/C is a bit noisy, especially if you need to refresh the room during the night. The sound isolation of the room is not the best, you listen to other guests shower for example.

Proximity to Jerónimos monastery, riverfront, shoos, restaurants, museums and nexus of public transportation to other parts of the city.

We paid extra for what Booking.com said was a king bed and that hotel had WiFi. Room we got was incredibly cramped, bed was not king and WiFi didn’t work, even when using smart-tv as hotspot. After a couple of complaints they moved us to another room with a king bed and functional and consistent WiFi. They should have put us there when we checked in.

Breakfast - very good and waitress was excellent, remembering preferences as soon as she saw me. Nice foyer and bar area. I only used the bar area once, but the barman was friendly, helpful and attentive. Room was fine, clean and adequate for my needs. Location - easy uber/taxi ride to the areas I was visiting, although there were also plenty of buses and trains. I felt safe walking out on my own, nice gardens on the opposite side of the road with plenty of crossing points and an underpass . Close to the river.

The location is perfect in Belem and near transportation into Lisbon, the rooms are clean, love the mini fridge, the bathroom was spacious, the breakfast is really good, and I love that the hotel has an evening bar (Pedro makes the best fresh sangria!)

I wish there was a coffeemaker or tea kettle in the room, it could be a nice addition to the mini fridge

Clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient location, suitable for both holidays and business stays. Good value for money. Friendly staff and a very decent breakfast.

The room was very warm in July, as the AC was not effective or broken. Keeping the windows open at night was difficult due to noisy seagulls nesting nearby.

Very very good location! And the special thing which is really precious is that they have the famous and original “pasteis” for breakfast, from the same place ppl stay in a huge line to get them! This was truly amazing to have🤍

I feel like for the 4* the rooms could be renovated more often, yet the hotel include all facilities which are needed to meet the 4 stars standards
