The facilities were incredibly well thought through, with every last detail attended to in the kitchen, with regards to food storage and shared facilities. It was spotlessly clean throughout, and the owner and staff very friendly and helpful.

Whilst the rooms were very warm and cosy (given that it was very cold weather, it was too hot with the floor heating vents going full steam ahead all night! We had to open the window to cool it down slightly, and also wedged the bedroom door open to let in air from the corridor. When the heating went off, we were then cold. Being able to regulate the temperature would have been good. This was a very small negative and I hasten to add how nice it was to return to a warm house after a day out in the cold.

This is such an amazing place! I really enjoyed staying here. The owners were very nice and welcoming, the house is so cozy and charming, and the location is spectacular. I appreciated the detailed instructions for contactless check in and the free bag storage before and after. I also liked that the kitchen and other common spaces were large and well stocked. The animal murals throughout the house are adorable. The whole place just feels so comfortable and peaceful - if I were to own a guest house I would want it to be just like this one! Would definitely stay again if I ever make it back to the Blue Mountains.

This isn't really a critique, but just thought I would mention that the house is on a somewhat steep road with lots of fast cars. I walked from the train station and while it's not a far walk, it may be better to uber if you have a lot of bags or mobility issues.

The kitchen facilities were great and very clean. The dining area was a wonderful gathering place. Everyone was considerate and friendly. The bathroom/ showers were co-ed and there was lots of hot water. There was a great covered porch area outside for sitting and a library sitting area as well. Lots of common space.

The house was on a very steep street for parking and walking. It was not as close to the downtown area as expected. Our bedroom was very spartan and had a slight musty smell. At times the place was cold even in March but that might be because it rained a lot. Better lighting in the bathroom would be great.

This was an exceptionally lovely stay. The rooms were cosy and warm (we stayed in July when it was rather cold), bathrooms were a little chilly but there were overhead heaters you could turn on. The kitchen facilities were plentiful, well labelled and sparkling clean. Lounge area was very comfortable with board games provided and the outdoor area is covered in fairy lights and a beautiful space to relax in the evening. The beautiful couple that run this place were so welcoming and kind. I wish them every success!

Cozy & comfortable stay in the mixed dorm for 2 nights. Friendly vibe with a mix of local & international travellers. Easy contactless self check-in & check-out processes. Shared bathrooms were clean & kitchen facilities were great. There was a well-organised system for fridge/pantry personal storage & it was nice to have free milk and muesli/cereal, as well as other thoughtful touches like sunscreen + alfoil/gladwrap supplies to prepare for dayhikes. Only a short walk to Katoomba station/shops/restaurants. So great to have an affordable option for short Blue Mountains trips! Looking forward to staying again

Adding some privacy curtains to the bunks (especially since it is a mixed dorm) would be a huge win! The lockers & under-bed storage were too small to fit most travellers' backpacks/suitcases so the rooms did tend to have bigger bags lying around next to beds. Some extra vacuuming under the beds & more ventilation of the rooms (especially on hot days) would also be a bonus.

My room was adorable. There was a fan that could be adjusted to make it not so noisy. There was one table downstairs that made it easy to meet other travelers. There was a kitchen to prepare my own food. I loved the free luggage drop off service for when you get there early or after check-out. It was not far from the train station. The whole house was comfortable with a patio outside to sit at. There were enough toilets and showers.

My room was upstairs but I had to go downstairs to use the bathroom. The walls are thin so I could hear my neighbors when they got up early.

Such a lovely place I am traveling regularly it is excellent value for money and I wish I had more time to take in this beautiful accommodation hub. I loved the kitchen facilities and the numbered boxes - what an amazing idea! Great place to stay I will be back! I only rated the staff and wifi as it was a non applicable for me.

I was sad no-one talked to each other. It was silent. Not a reflection on the place but where are the conversations these days? Communal space everyone on their devices....I know it is nice to have down time just an observation no one seemed to interact with other people or groups and the place so encourages this, loved the white board! Keep up the good vibes cannot say enough good about it! Thank you!

Easily one of the best hostels I've stayed in. There's an attention to detail that just makes everything really comfortable. We were in the private rooms upstairs. Good size with a little table and chairs by the window. The best kitchen I've had with multiple stoves and everything you need to cook and eat. Well stocked with appliances, pots and pans, cutlery, etc. Great old building with common areas for eating and hanging out. Well decorated and laid out. Really nice outdoor area off the street. Great location a short walk from the main street, bus stops, and rail station. Large and clean shared bathroom with good showers. It's just a nice place to be

The bathroom is cold on cold days but honestly this is just an Australian thing for some reason. If I had to be nitpicky I'd say the bed was just ok.

I didn't know breakfast was included so that was a bonus. Conversations with people from many countries.

Getting down & back from the top bunk was difficult especially at night (for toilet visits) when theres a reluctance to turn on the light to wake up others and the little bed side light dosnt help a lot, and the rungs are hard on the feet. Had to put my feet sideways. Cross ventilation is an issue, especially on hot nights, room becoming very stuffy, we had to put the wedge in the door to keep it open a couple of inches.

Excellent location, and the house itself is charming. A nice environment inside for a backpacker, as everyone else there is doing the same thing. Train station is only a 5-10 minute walk away. The bag drop-off/storage in the town is excellent and allows you to explore the town if you arrive before check-in - a game changer compared with other hostels. The fireplace is a nice place to be around when it's cold! Can't comment too much about the staff as didn't really interact with them - there was no need to.

Nitpicking really but a limited amount of crockery/cutlery means some waiting around for others can be expected before you can cook/eat if there are other people in the kitchen. No bread/butter for toast - this would be nice, although in fairness it isn't suggested that this is included anywhere. Bed not incredibly comfortable and a little noisy/unstable when someone else gets into the top bunk, but more than good enough for the price. None of this is really a problem and didn't detract from my experience.
