Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is simple but tastefully decorated. It exhales calm, quiet and relaxation. It is right in front of the park, so you can hear the mineral water stream and cicadas when you open the room’s window. The staff upgraded our room, which was larger and featured a private onsen in a comfortably-sized bathroom overlooking the park. The shared Japanese-style onsen is very clean and calming. The staff was very kind and welcoming. My partner had a personal delicate issue concerning the shared onsen which the staff dealt perfectly with a lot of understanding and graciousness. It was also my partner’s birthday, and the hotel prepared a lovely set of cakes for us. We left Water House absolutely restored and nourished. All in all, I will absolutely stay in this hotel when I return to Beitou.

I loved the Western breakfast. There is a good assortment of food on the plate. The staff is helpful and very polite. Also, the hot springs is conveniently available at the hotel whenever you feel like having a dip.

Rooms should provide hangers instead of wardrobes where clothes have to be folded. There is no place to air dry jackets that are damp from rain. Also, Water House can consider offering dinner for guests who have just finished with the hot spring and do not wish to step out of the hotel for dinner.

The hotel room has a very minimalist design, but with all amenities in place. The lighting was done very well, not overly bright but enough to be functional. The bathtub in the room was spacious and the water filled up very fast. We had an excellent view of the streets too.

The sound insulation between rooms are quite bad. We could hear sound from the corridor/other rooms. We could hear the next door shower running very clearly in the morning. Western breakfast was basic, Chinese style breakfast was probably better. Overall experience was good but I feel it is slightly overpriced.

* Location: Great! About a ten-minute walk from the Xinbeitou station and easy to find. Easy to walk to Beitou's attractions like the Hot Springs Museum or the library. * Private bathtub was luxurious and beautiful and clean. It didn't take too long to fill up and it was so relaxing. * Bed was comfy and room was clean and had enough space. * Breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

* I expected this from reading other reviews, but it felt like the walls between the rooms were thin, and I felt pressured to watch TV or speak at a low volume. I could hear conversation in the neighboring rooms and the sound of the tub filling and draining in neighboring rooms. * I wish the Chinese breakfast came with fruit, like the Western breakfast. * Since check-in is relatively late (6PM), it would have been nice for check-out to be later so we could enjoy the room longer.

Hotel is 10-min walk from Xin-Beitou Station. Being of slight distance from town centre allows you to enjoy quiet atmosphere outside the hotel. It has limited parking slots. The room is minimalistic, clean & comfortable. It has private hot spring tub. There is also gender-segregated public bath which also opens for day guests.

A bit difficult to communicate unless you're chinese speaker. Need to ask for women public bath wristband to access.

I loved this place. Stylish, Japanese feel to the room meshed with clean-lined modernism. The spa was very enjoyable and the water makes you feel amazing. This is very much a couple’s place though, as the room has zero privacy of any kind- glass walls to the private spa and bathing area. So if you’re traveling with someone, make sure you’re “friendly.” I enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Don’t really have anything negative to say about it.

The location is very convenient in Xinbeitou and the room is very nice and comfortable with traditional wooden floor. The Chinese-style breakfast is delicious and authentic.

Toilet has no bidet and toilet paper was very low quality. The Western-style breakfast is good but lacks variety. Most of the staff does not speak English, and the hotel does not offer laundry service.

I really loved it’s location - walkable from the station but far enough that it was a quiet place of it’s own. The museum and beautiful public library was also very close by. The private onsen here was fantastic - we seldom saw other folks around and had it all to ourselves. The bed was also SO comfortable. It’s my first time here, but I’ll be sure to return here in my next trip.

It's clean, comfortable and modern.. 2 breakfasts are provided per room in either Western or Eastern style. Both were delicious and substantial for an average appetite. The location is excellent and is immediately next to the park and hiking trails. The hotspring pools can be your large private relaxing space when it is not crowded.

The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Beds were super comfortable and we loved the private outdoor bath! It's also nicely located- short walk through Beitou Park to the hotel from Xinbeitou MRT and then another short walk to get to Thermal Valley and anything else you might want to explore.

The room could use a fridge, but staff were happy bring ice. Also the breakfasts were good, but way too much food for me! I felt bad not being able to finish it all.
