The whole stay was amazing . The staff is incredibly professional and welcoming. Special mention to Mr sudi . He helped us a lot with the organization of the trips . The private pool was awesome 🤩we really enjoyed it. The room cleaning service was good also. Ubud centre is only 15 min from the hotel on feet or 5 min with car and the hotel offers free shuttle to the center . The hotel offered a pick up from and to the airport for a reasonable price. We thank you for your hospitality.

There is ants and mosquito everywhere in Bali and that's okay . We recommand to close the room doors always to prevent them from coming in . In our room we already found a mosquito spray to help with that .

nice vegetation, quiet place, big, clean private pool, huge bathroom with big open space shower (that looks like a garden), nice birds and squirls great full breakfast

inside, the cleaning process could be improved (cleaner towels, the drinking glases should have been cleaned daily, coffee cup spoons also)

Everything was perfect. The villa was homely, and felt like you were way out of town, no traffic noise, total seclusion. The beds were comfortable with nice linen, the staff were laid back and helpful, no complaints with the food either, the included breakfast had plenty of options, and room service was a good price and quality. It is a 15-20 minute lazy walk to Ubud Palace, and the main shopping area, or you can use the free driver from the hotel. The only thing I would do differently next time is not to pre book the tours on Get your guide, and talk to the staff there to arrange drivers etc. See you next Christmas, we can hardly wait, and Thank you for looking after us

Could have done with more towels and water provided

The resort is amazing with nature all around you. The location is great and is near to Ubud Center and they offer a free bus shuttle. The staff was very helpful, friendly and responsive. The pools are very nice, the whole resort is very cozy and relaxing. I'll definitely recommend this place! We loved our stay there.

Since nature is all around you so there are different kinds of insects and geckos but honestly, the room was always clean and no insects were inside.

Sungu Resort and Spa is in the perfect location to take advantage of at least 3 stunning Yoga Studios (Alchemy, Intuitive Flow and Nalanda). There were numerous cafe's and wurangs near by as well including vegan options. We had a nice room in traditional decor and an open air bathroom room (was awesome to shower in the rain!). Included breakfast was generous and there were a few choices though I choose a Nasi Goreng most mornings. The pool area is great and all of the staff were very friendly. A special shout out to Dewi for making us feel so welcome. The resort is an easy walk to the palace (once you get used to the traffic) and make sure you check out some of the little pathways as they lead to not only some of the yoga studios but some cute cafes as well.

maybe the pillows could be a little more comfortable. There were additional pillows provided but they had been stored in the wooden cupboard and smelled a little too strongly for me.

The breakfast, pool and facilities were excellent. We stayed in a private pool villa but chose to use the main pool as it was warmer. The staff were more than accommodating and no request was too much We booked two villas, one of which we had two teenage couples in and the other was my husband and I and our 15 year old son. Whilst the villas were lovely, the downstairs room is open, meaning you have to walk through it to get upstairs and to also access the bathroom. Therefore, the lack of privacy for the downstairs guest was a problem. Especially in the night if you have to use the bathroom its disruptive to the guest sleeping downstairs. Apart from this everything was perfect and I would chose to stay here again but probably not in the two story villa style accommodation

We had a Deluxe Villa with private pool which gave us lots of space and a lovely calm space to relax after a busy day of activities. The resort was a bit of a distance from Central Ubud area but still possible to walk it and the hotel offered a free shuttle to the centre. Even though it was on a busier road the resort itself felt like an oasis of calm and was very peaceful.

Nothing to do with the resort but the road it's on is quite busy with hardly any sidewalks which made walking from the resort to shops and restaurants nearby a little tricky.

So wonderful to return to the Sungu Resort and Spa after 10 years. Still as beautiful as it was before. It feels like you are staying with Family Amazing staff, beautiful gardens, incredible private villa in a traditional Balinese style compound gardens. Great location for walks and Ubud vegan/ yoga/ spa experiences

Friendly competent staff. Well looked after beautiful Ubud gardens. Traditional Ubud style. The shower is open to the sky, next to the marbled bathroom.

The lush gardens had plenty of mosquitoes but the room had a fogging spay and the bed surrounding mosquito nets. The bed needed double power points next to it for phone recharging. Our small “l” cottage didn’t have a TV. Which we didn’t need. The room had only one inside uncomfortable chair but two chairs and table outside.

Great value for money for the price we paid including breakfast. Good choice of breakfast options. Comfortable beds. Great free shuttle service into town. Staff.were.so friendly, happy and really chatty. Lovely people. Loved our private outside courtyard area. And also Loved the traditional outside bathroom daily free water was also welcomed.

More umbrella shades are needed around the poolside. Some of the advertised activities were not available
