I thought our room was quite nice. It had a large table and two chairs so we could sit down and eat our breakfast in the room. Or play board games/cards, etc. The view we had a Morro rock was quite nice. The staff were amazing and I don’t think I have ever had such a friendly front desk person. Who met us on arrival with a glass of wine! 🍷 It is also very close to the downtown shopping area, restaurants, and waterfront. You can actually walk from the hotel to Morro rock and there is actually a beach right next to Morro rock. We didn’t discover this until the day we were leaving.

Probably the only thing I didn’t like about the property was the fact that the refrigerator was quite loud. I thought maybe this was a thing with small refrigerators but the next hotel we stayed with a small refrigerator was very quiet. So they either need to look into this as I have heard this complaint in some of the other reviews.

The room was very large and very fancy. The bathroom was more modest, but no complaints (it just wasn't huge the way the main room was). Breakfast was pretty basic, but there are plenty of cafes within a few blocks and the area felt very walkable. I partly picked Morro Bay because of T Pier, which was pretty close to the hotel - and we did indeed get to watch sea otters in the morning, along with pelicans and various other sea birds.

We showed up after the front desk closed and received unclear instructions for getting our room keys. We parked in one of the outdoor spots, and it took me a while to figure out that I was supposed to walk through the parking garage to the lockboxes at the far end.

I loved the rooftop thought I only went up to use it one morning. But it was really nice. I also likely the vicinity to the water front. I wished I was a little bit closer to the water, but it was a great location otherwise. I also liked that they had a good assortment of breakfast items.

The walls are really thin, so I could hear people walking above me all the time, slamming of doors, people walking by w keys jingling. I actually moved my first room which was right outside the elevator and next to a room where someone left their barking dog in the room. I came for quiet so that was a bit annoying. I also wish I had a higher up room with a better view of the ocean since I paid for an ocean view room.

Location, Location, Location. Perfect for a weekend of beautiful views and bike riding!! Great and Friendly staff! Plenty of parking and right in the heart of downtown Morro Bay. We were able to walk and ride our bikes everywhere. Super close to all shopping, dining and the Morro Rock. Our suite was beautiful with all the amenities to enjoy a relaxing night away. The views of Morro Rock from the balcony and bedroom were spectacular. Spa tub and rain showerhead were enjoyed as well!! Bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. Great breakfast and coffee in the morning!

It’s a beautiful hotel, with great accommodations. Staff are kind. They are pet friendly (we brought our yorkie). Our room was big and comfortable (rm 314). We opted for two queen beds with a balcony (they were actually king beds). The beds weren’t overly hard, plenty of pillows. You could see the Three Stacks and Morro Rock from the balcony. Beautiful view of the horizon on their rooftop. We were close in vicinity to the Embarcadero (walking distance). Breakfast was great, woke up early to walk our dog and no one was in the breakfast area, but as we walked through it several times it wasn’t ever really crowded. We certainly will be staying here again!

Was very surprised at how thin the walls were. Bring ear plugs if you'd like to fully enjoy your stay. Also, the only entertainment through the TV is cable, which i find to be quite disappointing, when in fact the TV is indeed a smart TV and capable of having Netflix, Hulu, etc. but the hotel blocks access to these features!

The rooms are recently renovated. New paint and fixtures, the bed was a little hard. In our first room , the TV didn't work, so the manager moved us to a better room with a balcony right away. The breakfast was fine and the location was great. There was complimentary wine and snacks at 4 pm. There was a 4th floor viewing deck with a spectacular view of Morro Rock. We would stay here again.

The room was spacious nicely furnished, and had a good view of Morro Rock. We were easy walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants and the causeway going out to the Rock so the location was excellent! Parking was a breeze. Thanks for the stay.

Some roofers started working on the place across the street rather early on Monday, so there was a bit of noise then. I killed an inch-long cockroach in the bath in the early morning. The caulking around the tub needs to be renewed to keep them out.

Good position in Morro Bay, close to the harbour, restaurants, bars and shops. Also handy for visiting Pismo & other beaches. San Luis Obispo close bye & Paso Robles are worth visiting, especially the former who have a fantastic farmer’s market on a Thursday evening.

Nothing to dislike, it delivered what I expected of this level of hotel & as portrayed in Booking. com.

Location

The tv remote in our room was terrible, difficult to work. Was not able to control volume and very difficult to change channels to view programs. While we did not go to Morro Bay to watch tv we did watch during evening. The remote with roller ball is terrible . I spoke with two staff about it , neither seemed to be a fan of remote either. This alone would keep us from rebooking Ascot Suites.
