Location was good, the staff were great, hotel was clean. Great little swimming pool. A fab little gem of a hotel

The only wee fault I can think of was every now and then my room smelt a little wiffie at times, I just put it down to the aircon pulling air in from outside. The weather was very hot and humid, walking around the city occasionally you would smell the drains. But this was a very minor issue. The Aircon was playing up for me at one point. I mentioned it at reception on the way out, and it was sorted by the time I came back. This did not upset my stay.

The location was great…less than a minute to the Mekong Night Market. Tons of restaurants and massage places on the street, though the hotel restaurant is excellent. There was live music on the weekend, which made dinner and beers enjoyable. Fitness center had weights, and the staff was very helpful.

The breakfast was mid, but that’s to be expected in Laos. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel.

I have just returned from a month in S.E.Asia and this was my 3rd stop. Nice spot in a good located road. Easy access to rooms via stairs or elevator. Cafe downstairs, seating areas, plenty of space. Nice front desk staff, helpful. Super balcony that i made the most of at night. Perfect massage dead opposite. Central Vientiane is basically a village with a village feel. Supermarkets at both ends of the street. Yes, a good spot.

Light controls. They needs to all be by the room entry, not placed by the bed, semi dark room before you get to the lights isn't thought through. Shower could be better. However, overall, a great spot to start and end a day in Vientiane.

I had a very pleasant stay here. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed — including reliable Wi-Fi and effective air conditioning. I mainly chose the hotel for its convenient location in the city and access to a gym, both of which were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even assisting me with booking train tickets. The basic amenities in the room suited my needs perfectly.

The only downsides were the shower water pressure, which was a bit weak, and the fact that I often had warm water only for a few seconds. Also, the windows could have been cleaner. Also, the pool was under constructions since 2 months already.Other than that, everything was great. Would stay again!

This was a very cute and comfortable hotel right in the city center. Great location for a solo traveler as all the nice restaurants were within walking distance. It's also right next to the night market. The staff were very nice and accommodating and I had a very pleasant stay.

I think everything was great! I do wish there was a bit more variety for breakfast but it's just a personal preference.

Conveniently located, the attached restaurant is good for lunch, swimming pool is nice for a refresher!

We loved the always-smiling staff in both the hotel and the restaurant and enjoyed the HUGE room. It's not a "luxury" property in the sense that there's not a "statement" lobby to hang out in, and the breakfast dining area is pretty pedestrian. But the food was fine, and the servers were always so cheerful and accommodating, the decor didn't matter. And the location was terrific - we could walk to almost everything we wanted to visit and to lots of restaurants, bars and attractions - but the room was still quiet. We also enjoyed a good dinner and decent drinks in the hotel dining room, which offered indoor and outdoor seating.

We secured a very good rate for two nights when we booked, but the nightly rate for every night went up about 20% when we added another night through the site. The hotel had plenty of availability. Adding the extra night at the same rate would have been appreciated.

We had a very comfortable two rooms with connecting corridor for our family of six. Rooms were huge and beds big and comfortable. Staff very helpful to organise trains (although I ended up using a website) and tours if needed. Can pay here by credit card (3% fee - standard in Laos). Location is near the night markets and loads of restaurants. Can walk to a number of temples relatively easy. Pool was beautiful although not heated. Gym functional. Cafe downstairs is very handy. Tyson’s kitchen across the road does great pizzas with too. Laundry shop just around the back alley for fair prices (per kg not per item).

Treadmill had an error when I went to use (in fairness I didn’t mention it as I used the stepper machine instead).

The location was excellent - very central to the night market with an interesting streetscape. The lobby was beautiful with stylish comfortable furniture and fittings. The pool area was small, well provisioned with towels and clean. It was very helpful to be able to book a late checkout. We loved the Bar Indochine with its Happy Hour aperitif and opportunity to watch the passing parade on the street.

The style in the bedroom was solid but not particularly Lao. We could have been anywhere in the world but for the Vientiane rooftop view outside of our window. B It was the most expensive hotel we stayed in even without breakfast. (Room service menu, breakfast etc all quoted in US dollars)

We loved the la Charme Hotel so much that we cancelled another booking to go back to it after a trip into the countryside. The staff could not have been more charming. The hotel has a great restaurant and bar at the front of the building and we had a lovely time there - and it is well placed for lots of other great places to eat. The pool area was just great - and you could easily ask for refreshments to be brought over from the bar. Very clean room and bathroom. Fantastic breakfast choices.

I didn't really like the double bed in our first room - it was quite bouncy. So we swapped to twin beds on our repeat visit which was much more comfortable.
