The hotel is situated in the buzzing city center of Graz, close to public transportation, sights and a lovely farmer's market. The staff of the hotel were very welcoming from the first second, helping us getting around town and being very accomodating with any request that we had in our mind. There was even a welcome drink included with our stay, which we could get from the hotel's own bar. Breakfast was nice and plenty and was served in the hotel's own breakfast lounge. There are several great restaurants nearby, and all the sights of Graz are in a walking distance. The hotel does not have its own private car park, however there is an underground parking where hotel guests can park with a discount and it is literally a minute away from the hotel in a convenient location.

The only thing that we would change was the bed. For us it was too soft, were not providing enough support for our backs, but that is a minor thing and is based on our own personal preference.

Nice location...it was real city center, very nice breakfast in so clean dining room..personal there was very polite and smart..the breakfast were very rich and tasty... I also like very big bathroom with dailylight...very clean big room... I also appreciate approach of the every member from stuff...they helped with everything Hotel is located in front of the super pub - Cafe Central

Maybe one small personal feeling: The mats were for me very soft and my back after two nights quite hurts...

We stayed for one night only, but everything was great. The hotel has good location, on the pedestrian area, close to many restaurants. Our room was huge, with a huge bathroom and large shower area. The beds were nice and comfortable. The breakfast was great, with many things to choose from.

The parking seemed a bit unconfortable, since you need to check in first and get a discount ticket and after that drive to the private parking. Therefore, we opted to park the car at the nearby museum parking, which costed 20 euros for the night plus a few hours.

Everything went well, actually. We arrived with a friendly greeting. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. It is greatly located—a tram is just a few walks away, surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Kunsthaus Graz is just a few steps away, and the old city is just a bridge away.

It's located right in the center, and we stayed on Friday night. If you stay in the room by the alley, expect noises from the window. But other than that, things were great.

The location of Hotel Mariahilf proved ideal for exploring Graz, with all the main attractions of the old town within easy walking distance. Our room was perfectly sized for a family of four and our dog, providing enough space for everyone to feel comfortable without being cramped.

The breakfast room's limited capacity was the only minor drawback of our stay. While we managed to time our mornings without issue, some guests had to wait for tables to become available during peak hours.

The location and the staff are great, the place is absolutely sparkling clean and has a certain old-world charm that makes the hotel a good choice.

The old-school charm also means a lack of outlets in rooms and the lighting could be better. The beds are way too soft (but this is a personal preference). The breakfast could be improved (stuff was running out during the morning rush).

The hotel's location is excellent. While the building is old, it is clean. The rooms are spacious and equipped with basic amenities such as beds and bathroom ;) but we didn't need anything else . We particularly enjoyed the bar next to the reception, the vibrant neighborhood atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the satisfying breakfast.

The beds are overly soft, and the shower is extremely small—even for someone as petite as me! :)

Wow what a great stay in the heart of Graz. The hotel is older yes, but its super well mantained, looks classy and the staff is friendly. Our room was super clean, smelled nice and was very quiet during the night. The price/performance for this hotel is amazing. The breakfast even had champagne! For parking we did P+R Murpark and it was only 15min with tram to the hotel. Much better than bringing a car into city center imo.

The hotel is right on the edge of the old city, which is perfect. The old city is small, so it’s easy to pop back to the hotel during the day. First mentioned as an inn in 1663, it became a hotel in 1841. If you enjoy grand old buildings, you will like it here. It has a lovely staircase with wide corridors and old wooden doors. The dining room is attractive and there was a wide choice of food for breakfast.

We had a room with a bath and hand-held shower, with no shower curtain, so not really possible to shower.

The staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed the flair of the old building. The breakfast was good, and the location is great for seeing the old town, close to the famous floating island.

The room I had booked was in the attic, and when I had made the reservation in April, I had not thought about the possibility that it would be over 30 degrees. Fortunately, at midnight it had cooled down enough that by opening the roof window as much as possible it was okay to sleep - but unfortunately, some people on the street just outside were talking very loudly (and at some point even turning on music) until 4 am - and it was not possible to sleep with the window closed. Perhaps I'll have to pick a hotel in a quieter part of Graz next time, even if it's less nicely located.
