The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very basic and a little tired but was clean and had everything needed. There was plenty of tea and coffee with extras available in drawers in Reception. The bed was extremely comfortable and quiet.

Signage - I got to Membury when it was dark and saw the sign but was left wondering if I'd made a mistake as there was no sign of a hotel anywhere! Just a sign with an arrow pointing to the front door would have been helpful. If you are disabled just be aware there is no lift - although the receptionist kindly checked for an alternative room on the ground floor there were none available. She did offer to help me take my things up to the first floor which I thought was very kind.

Convenient location.

Drove around the service area looking for the entrance to the hotel car park - which doesn't exist. A note on the website to say use the main service station car park would be useful.

Lovely friendly staff who were genuine and warm, rooms big and comfortable, built in shower gel/shampoo/handwash in the bathrooms, clean, large towels, handy station at the front desk to grab extra tea/sugar/milk for your room (I like my tea milky, so very grateful for that!), separate desk to makeup table (as a writer, appreciated having somewhere to sit!)

Stains on bedsheet upon arrival. Pillows not very comfortable. This one isn’t the fault of the property, but there were clearly a lot of local builders/contractors staying on site and they were very noisy, chatting and laughing and slamming of doors going on until way past midnight. Would have appreciated a quieter stay, but I suppose you can’t expect too much when you’re next to a motorway!

It was exactly what you expect, basic but clean and tidy. The staff were great, we had our dog with us and they put us in a ground floor room near the exit especially for easy access to grass for him.

TV was a bit small for the size of room, we couldn't read the TV guide from the bed! Its also hard to find, hidden behind bothe the services and Starbucks unit with a small signpost. Worse as we were in the dark. Had to use Google Maps on satellite to find it, hence low marks for location. Please please put better signs up!

It was clean, quiet, comfortable. Very handy for the motorway stop facilities and westward travel.

I didn't know till I got there that the exit was only westward. I needed to be in Hungerford, so I had to go 8 miles to the Swindon exit and another 11 miles back on leaving Days Inn. Also, I complain at most hotels I use, as here, about 2 things 1) lack of handgrip near the shower 2) having only 1 thick duvet on the bed. This is far too hot for me. I always have to take the duvet out of its cover and use that instead. It would be nice to have one or 2 light blankets and/a bedcover, so one could pick and choose. Kind Regards Andrew H Williams

The room was clean and warm, the bed large and very comfortable. A good desk with lots of power points. There was free wifi and parking. I especially liked that the bathroom had a bath as well as a shower. Plenty of hot water. Helpful, friendly staff.

I had a struggle with the heater but a member of staff sorted it out. The fridge was not very efficient. Only food available basic Membury Services buthe Waitrose was useful.

The location is put on the map wrong so sent us 15miles wrong direction to then be directed down a bumpy, holey road (which was a short cut) made us really late getting to bed as we had a really early start, which was reason for staying there in the first place

The main room was very clean and tidy with everything available that was needed. The bathroom was also very clean with sufficient linen and washing facilities. The bed was comfortable. The room was warm. The hotel supplied a coupon for a decent cooked breakfast provided in the adjacent services area. The reception staff were very courteous and helpful.

The enamel bath had two chips in the bottom surface. Although this didn't look good, it did not cause any problems. The wash basin had a fine crack in its surface but was not a problem. The duvet was very thin. As I was alone I was able to double it over. That avoided the necessity of keeping the heating on over night. I was later informed that another duvet could have been provided if necessary. Parking was in the main services area and was controlled by the Parkingeye company. Although you can park at the hotel for free, you need to follow the instructions fully. Parkingeye have a bad reputation for issuing parking fines even if you abide by their rules!

Staff are excellent, helpful and friendly. Nothing was any trouble for them. There is plenty of tea, coffee and milks on reception, plus many snack and drink items. It is located at a services which has all the usual facilities which is useful.

The bed itself has a basic mattress on it and although it was comfortable, it was quite bouncy especially when my husband moved. It disturbed me on occasions.

Amazing stay, hotel in brilliant location, clean and fresh bedding and the room was clean and fresh, the weather was very hot but the room was cool and the windows were left open and fan was on. Checking in was quick, easy brilliant. Rooms do need updating but for what I needed it for was brilliant. Will definitely recommend. Bathroom was clean and tidy
