The staff were very understanding, cheerful, and courteous. It was in a very central location, and we had no difficulty walking to all the places we planned to visit. The ambiance of the hotel was very beautiful. The exterior appearance was also very nice. Overall, the rooms were sufficient.

The bathroom/WC area in the hotel rooms unfortunately did not provide complete privacy. There were gaps next to the doors, and we were not pleased with this situation. The beds were really comfortable, but they did not have good blankets; the blankets were very small and not suitable for adults. As a result, we were very cold, and that small blanket was of no use at all.

We loved Belgrade, and this hotel definitely played a part in that. It is an elegant building that welcomes you with a red balloon umbrella, located on a lovely street that stretches all the way to Kalemegdan. You enter the building through the restaurants on the ground floor. Red carpets, a staircase curving upwards, and a tiny reception desk greet you inside. The staff were very polite and helpful. We settled into our room without any issues. The room was clean and had everything we could possibly need. We stayed in a room overlooking the corner of the street. The bustle below was not disturbing at all. The location is excellent—we were able to reach many places on foot, and bus stops were also very close by. My favorite thing was sitting on the window ledge and watching life rush by beneath my feet.

The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom door system. In our room, the door didn’t even have a lock mechanism, which wasn’t ideal. Still, I was extremely satisfied overall. It’s definitely a place I would love to stay again.

My son and I had a lovely time in Belgrade. The hotel, receptionists, cleaners and staff at Boutique restaurant were excellent. The service was excellent too. The location couldn't be better .... Near main road, near shopping mall, near restaurants and bars, centre for nightlife and area leads to Republic Square and centre of Belgrade. I highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel has no elevator/lift and we were on the 2nd floor. The 2nd staircase was steep. I have minor mobility issues and the stairs affected me. We overlooked this so this was our fault not to realise. We understand that the hotel is an old mansion but maybe if the hotel has a lift from the back or side ........ People with mobility issues cannot book this hotel unfortunately. The room had a window next to the roof ... Good for natural light but otherwise useless ....

It is right above the pedestrian street with shops, bars and cafes, so you are just one step from everything you might need to eat, drink or shop. It is also very close to the mall, where there is also a supermarket. Bus & tram stops very close. The double rooms were quite spacious. Towels were changed on a daily basis.

We thought the parking was included in the double room's price (as per the FAQs), but it turned out there was an extra cost of 20 euros per day for the parking, which however was very very close to the hotel! There is no elevator, but at least the crew was very helpful with our luggage. It is right above the pedestrian street with shops, bars and cafes, so if you are looking for a very quiet room, it might not be the right place. Nothing too disturbing though. The breakfast is at the cafe right under the hotel, but it includes specific, limited plates, basically with eggs.

However, at night when I turned on the bedside lamp, sparks started coming from behind the bed and the light kept flickering. I turned everything off and removed the key card, but the sparks continued. We called reception, but they didn’t believe us at first. When they saw it themselves, they admitted the issue but said there were no free rooms. Only after we insisted, they finally gave us another room. The stay was nice overall, but this was a serious safety concern that needs urgent attention.

Definitely will come back. Everything was clean and well maintained. The one person room was very small, but it was expectable. Also the location is very centrical, you cannot desire more.

I wanted to pay in cash, but I had already charged half of the total amount to my card. I assumed I only needed to pay the remaining half, and usually, they accept it by card or cash. I wanted to pay in cash. In this case, the only options available were to cancel the previous payment and pay the entire amount in cash or pay the second half by card. I chose to pay the total amount in cash. The downside is that I will only receive a refund for half of what was charged to my card in a month. Additionally, the hotel did not accept euros, so I had to go find an exchange, even though I was very tired. Not a big problem, but it would be nice if that could be changed.

I enjoyed so much my stay in Maison Royale that I even extended a bit my stay. It was not only super convenient to be in the very centre of the city, but everything inside was so nice and comfortable. And the personel was very friendly and ready to help. I also found the price actually quite good, especially givent the fact that I was travelling in the end of December, and that it is the core of the city. It is good for me now to know where to stay next time I go to Belgrade.

Only one small thing. When taking shower, a little bit water runs outside the shower. I think a bit better seal of the shower enclosure would solve it (at least in my room), so that water doesn't run outside the shower. But this is really a tiny problem and I also don't know if this issue even exists in other rooms.

What was good: * Nice and helping staff. * Location. (The main pedestrian zone in Belgrade. Major tourist destinations in walking distance.) * Awesome breakfast (In the next door restaurant with a la carte selection from 10 diverse breakfast meals with 2 drinks included.)

What could be better: * The stairway is the only way to reach the reception and the room.... The lift would be appreciated. * Arrival with the car and parking. (Hotel is in a pedestrian zone, so you need to stop the car in the next street, bring all your luggage, drop you car to the underground parking lot, return and continue with check-in... On the other hand the staff is very supportive during the whole process and provides all necessary instructions prior.)

Breakfast is good. Location is in the center, 2-3 min from Kalemegdan. The stuff is always available. We got free uprade to deluxe room.

Toilet was not cleaned when we arrived. Bathroom have glass door that don't close all the way so there is no privacy. There is coffee machine that is not working. AC is not adjustable (maybe it is adjustable), but after 10 tries, i didn't manage to change room temperature. There is no elevator in the building, so keep that in mind. There is no hotel parking, but in nearby parking garage, you can park (40E per day which is expensive a lot).

This historical mansion was full of old world charm. Exceptional location close to many sights, so we walked everywhere. Also tons of cafes, restaurants & shopping closeby. Hotel was super comfortable & clean. Very helpful staff.

The breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was great value but had limited vegetarian options. There was no elevator in the hotel which was fine by us but to consider when packing your suitcases.
