The hotel is located right within the fortress itself—an absolutely fantastic location. The entire interior reflects the era in which the building was created, with the atmosphere beautifully preserved and the authentic style intact. Honestly, I’d say it looks even better than in the photos. The staff were very kind and attentive. There’s excellent free private parking right at the entrance, and the whole property is pet-friendly. Breakfast, included in the price, is served in a gorgeous restaurant and offers a wide and varied selection. At reception, guests also receive vouchers for discounts in nearby cafés and restaurants, which is a lovely touch.

My friend and I stayed with our two dogs. The room was quite small, and although we booked the “river view” option, the window was tiny and placed high above the desk—so there wasn’t really a view. Still, the cleanliness, comfort, and everything we needed for a short stay more than made up for it.

The location (especially the views of the river and the city centre) was special! Also, the receptionists were super friendly and helpful; e.g. helped me to store my luggage and order taxi 😊 I got a room that seemed to have been fairly recently renovated, so I was happy with that.

Some places, like the hallway carpets on the 3rd floor, could benefit from refurbishment. Also, I woke up during the night and noticed that there was a large cricket-like creature jumping/flying around the room. I wonder how it got there, as I never opened the window... Nevertheless, I struggled with the bug for a couple of hours, then managed to sleep on and off for the rest of the night.The breakfast was quite average.

Location is beyond great, you're literally in the castle, easy parking with plenty of space, very friendly staff, enough amenities, everything was cool

1) heating - was only able via AC, so in the first night it was really cold, probably due the fact that the room i stayed in was empty for a couple of days. In the next days it was ok, and in general this topic wont be an issue during the warm months 2) shower - everything was pretty cool, but the shower only had an overhead head, which in some cases can be uncomfortable, but definitely not a no-go subject

In the old castle and well worth a stay just for the atmosphere. We were upgraded and the rooms were fantastic. Very atmospheric, with a view over the Danube. Glorious views in the morning and a good breakfast. Only a few restaurants in the castle grounds if you arrive late in the evening, but they are very good (though very smoky).

Powercut in the building meant that there was no light while getting ready/having breakfast, both in our rooms and half of the hotel. However, the staff remained positive and cheerful, and it did somewhat add to the character of the stay!

Breakfast was very good a combination of traditional Serbian breakfast as well as everything needed for international travelers(muesli, oats, good selection of nuts, eggs, bacon etc). Location is beyond any expectation since the hotel is located inside the Petrovaradin Fortress this is definitely a very unique experience and a unique opportunity to see a bit of history of Novi Sad without any extra effort. The fortress is very close to the city center some 20 min walking distance if not even shorter time is needed.

Beds very not as comfortable but again it depends on your preference. Hotel is quite traditional so many things are kept in the traditional style so you will not find some super modern hair dryer etc in the bathroom but on the other hand it still has a super nice gym and all that you need.

The location is excellent, the employees are friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast includes a varied offer with local specialties and everything is delicious. It is clean and comfortable.

The mattress on the bed is uneven and sagging and the hairdryer in the bathroom was not working. There are not enough sockets for all needs and they are not close to the bed. All in all, although the room is clean and pleasant, these are the little things that decided the rating of the overall impression

The room was amazing! We got upgraded to one of the baroque-style rooms with antique-looking furniture and a view of the river. It was really amazing. It was like staying in a castle. The staff was really excellent and did everything they could to make our stay as good as possible. And the breakfast was amazing too. But the best part of this stay was just being inside the antique buildings of the fortress, essentially PART of the history of Novi Sad.

Unfortunately, there are some night clubs near the hotel which can be sort of loud. They apparently only operate during the winter but can be problematic for some. It wasn't an issue for me but some of my guests could hear the base of the music well into the night.

The location can't be beat, in the Petrovaradin fortress across the river from the town of Novi Sad. The rooms are very small and strangely laid out because of the historic nature of the building, but the staff upgraded us to a suite, which gave us a little more room and was very much appreciated. The breakfast and the breakfast room were lovely. There is a terrific restaurant next door, Karlo, associated with the hotel, with an awesome view and good food, perfect for a romantic dinner.

The internet was so slow as to be almost useless. I was unable to download a business document to my computer or upload my photos from my phone.

It is a privilege to be able to stay a few nights in an Austro-Hungarian fort (without being a soldier or prisoner :) ). I recommend it to anyone who is ready to appreciate the historical weight of the place. Beyond that, it is a well-organized hotel, with good aesthetics, in a wonderful place... and very safe. If you stay here, try the restaurant recommended by the hotel. You probably won't get the 5% discount promissed, but the food is authentic.

Unfortunately, the smell in the bathroom is a major problem. I stayed in a budget room but I hope that the more expensive rooms do not have this shortcoming.

Great view The staff was unbelievable friendly and caring. There is a small shop in the district right below the castle where you can buy anything that one could need (can be easily missed, best ask the staff for directions). The city center can be also reached within a 20 minute walk. But there are a couple of stairs to take. For people that have issues with climbing stairs, a taxi drive is not that costly and the staff helps with it as well.
