Extremely clean hotel, good breakfast and friendly staff. On the map, it looks like the hotel is a long way from Old Town, but it's walkable around 15 minutes, or you could get tram/bus. Didn't get a chance to try the fitness area.

Hotel lobby bar, we arrived late in the evening and it was shut, so we had the one beer and the one red wine supplied in the room's mini bar, which never got re stocked !!!! the following evening, we got back in time to have a night cap in the bar. However, the reception said their colleague would serve us, but nobody came and as the mini bar hadn't been replenished, we got a soft drink from the vending machine!!!! Note there are plenty of local bars !!!

We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay immensely. One major positive point during our stay at the Hotel Saffron was the care and assistance extended to our by the reception stay from the point of booking the room, asking for directions on how to reach the hotel from the train station, going around town, and heading back to the train station when we checked out. We were able to enjoy one breakfast and there were so many choices and area was large enough for it not to feel like like you are bumping into other diners. In terms of location, it is a short tram ride from the train station (Tram #1) and it was only about 15 minutes walk into Old Town. We highly recommend!

The check in process was fast and excellent as is the staff professionalism. The hotel is spotless clean. We are a couple, staying for a day & night to visit Bratislava before heading to Vienna late afternoon, in the following day. The transport nearby (bus + tram) is very frequent with easy access to Old town and Airport. We walked to Old town and it is not far at all. The breakfast was excellent and impressive. In conclusion, the hotel is great value for money as we had a great stay, so would definitely go back and recommend it highly.

We couldn't access the sauna so can't comment but the gym is excellent with loads of equipment

Breakfast was delicious, although the bread was not that fresh. The breakfast area was very spacious and the waiters were very fast and efficient in clearing the tables. The possibility of dining at the hotel was great even if the menu was quite limited. However the food and the service was impeccable. The room was very spacious and always clean and the bathroom was also great.

The room was very hot and the cooling system was not effective. The TV channels were very limited and the TV itself is quite old with no possibility to connect it to YouTube etc.

Both the hotel and our room were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was super clean and the room was equipped with a kettle, tea bags, coffee and a mini bar. The staff was very polite, professional, and spoke English very well. The check-in and check-out went very smooth. The breakfast had a big variety and was very tasty. Overall it is super value for money. We had a great stay, I recommend it to everyone! :)

The ocation is not amazing, but you can walk to the centre comfortably in about 15 minutes, or take a few stops with the tram. sMaybe the only thing I would change are the fittted carpets on the floors, because they are a bit dirty and they trap a lot of dust. Also there was a strong smoke smell in the corridors every day. But these are just small things that could be improved and didn't affect the quality of our stay.

Super clean, comfortable and in a great location. Staff treat you very well and breakfast was delicious. I left some items behind and the hotel arranged for them to be sent to me in the Netherlands very quickly.

The only thing is that the fitness center is only open from 10am. I booked the hotel based on the fact it had a gym. As a business traveller I needed to be with my client at 9am through to the evening. I did get to try the center out on my last day and it was modern with all the equipment you need. The fitness center is not staffed so I don’t understand why it couldn’t open from 7am for example.

Very nice and clean hotel. Amazing breakfast with very high quality products, great variety, great coffee starting at 6:30 in the morning, which is great if you have an early departure. You can rent an umbrella if it rains. Very convenient location, close to the old town, convenient when coming from the airport or the train station /the station is 10-15 minutes walk/. Great pizzeria nearby. Very comfortable beds, extremely clean.

There is no bottle of water in the room, if you want it you have to buy it from the minibar.

The hotel is easily accessible and super close to the center (~10-15 minutes walking). There is a tram station nearby as well. The check in process was easy. The staff is super nice and friendly and helpful. The room itself is nothing special, but it's very clean and comfortable. Just be careful that the bed consists of two mattresses pushed very close together. The rooms are cleaned daily basically by the hard working cleaning ladies (this includes towel changes and the sort). The breakfast was really great. Eggs, cheeses, dried meats, sausages, breads, cereals, there's basically all you need. Sweet stuff too, as well as good coffee! Overall we loved the stay and will definitely be recommending it to others.

In general everything is okay. Worth the price in our opinion. If we had to be nitpicky, it would be good to include soap and shampoo holders in the bathroom.

The hotel is not exactly in the city center, but it's in a good location—about a 15-minute easy walk from the historic center and main attractions. There is a tram stop right next to the hotel. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The garage within the hotel is accessible by elevator. Breakfast is decent, nothing special.

There are no additional facilities within the hotel, the fitness room was out of service due to renovation. I think the price for the hotel + garage could be a bit lower.

The breakfast had variety of options made with good quality ingredients. The hotel’s location is another positive aspect; it’s not far from the city center (~15 min walking distance), which made getting around quite convenient. Despite its proximity to the action, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, allowing for a restful night’s sleep. The bed in my room was on the firmer side, but I found it quite comfortable. The air conditioning was efficient and, importantly, not loud, which is a huge plus for light sleepers like my wife. I also appreciated the underground parking, which was secure and well-maintained.

Parking is not free, which can add up over a longer stay. Additionally, the entrance to the parking area is a bit tight, so manoeuvring a larger car can be challenging.
