I'm giving this propert 10/10 because I was there in early February, I stayed in the dorm, so there was no one around, I stayed all myself in the room for 4 days so had no issues...

...BUT if there were more people staying, possibly during summer days, it's a real problem as there are no sockets in the room, just 2 USB chargers near the door and that's all, also the fridge in the kitchen is too small and for food you either have to eat in the restaurant or take food for microwave with you which I doubt that'll fit in the fridge with many people. Other than that there's nothing to complain really.

Beautiful hotel in nice location near the lake. Compared to other similar huts/hotels in the area, this was definitely the best we have been to. Very nice and comprehensive service offering (incl. SPA), good restaurant, super abundant and delicious breakfast (good variety of choices, something that we haven't found in other hotels in the area). The room was simple but had everything needed.

Very minor: I think that the dinner could be included in the base rate. Having full food coverage is common in these types of accommodations.

Fabulously located guest house, just next to the Popradské Pleso. It is a good starting point for hikes, although many hiking routes are closed at winter time. The hotel was not accessible by car (it is an hour long walk from the nearest parking place). Although, one can order a drive to the hotel, but we didn't try this service. Our room was spatious and comfortable, with a lake view. A good restaurant and bar belongs to the accomodation. One can use the sauna and jakuzzi, which is in a good state, but for a high price. The staff was always very helpful. We had a wonderful time here.

The surroundings of the hotel are wonderful. The staff is friendly and the restaurant serves delicious local foods. The breakfast package for early hikers is a big plus. Also the drying room for wet clothes was very useful after the rainy days.

There was no normal outlet in the room to charge my phone, only two USB ports. A hairdryer would be useful in the shower room.

Location is excellent, because many long hiking routes start from Popradske pleso, and if you don't want to walk in the morning extra 4km from parking to the start - staying in this hotel is perfect option. We had double room with a lake view and big private bathroom. They serve breakfast from 6:00 and breakfast is very rich, they serve even prosecco! In the evening restaurant and bar are open until 21 and 22, you can seat in common rooms, everything is very cosy! If you want to start your hike earlier, you can ask "grab and go" breakfast.

You need to book in advance, if you want to get the room (even bed in dormitory) especially in high season and on weekends.

We (the couple) stayed in the hikers room (8 bunk beds). The room was big. You get one key per room and you have to return the key to the reception. There are bathrooms, hikers kitchen and showers. The showers are shared with no division. The breakfast is served from 6-10am. It was really delicious. They played good relaxing music too. You can leave very early for your hikes. There is wellness area for 25€ including: jacuzzi, dry sauna and cold plunge. You can bring beer in. The restuarant is big and food tasty. The stuff so quick and helpful, everying run so smoothly. Guys, you were great! The manager must be amazing, the whole team is stunning. Thank you for letting us stay with you!

+ location, by the lake, in the immediate vicinity of the hiking paths + breakfast, quite good given the remote location + the bathroom seemed recently renovated, quality materials, excellent walk-in shower

- oligopoly, as in no competition in the immediate vicinity, thus not much incentive for major renovations/improvements; probably because its a protected area by the law - some of the reception staff seems to be "tired" by the high influx of tourists - the hotel brings back visual reminiscences of the glorious communism period within Eastern Europe; those familiar with it will understand what I mean :) - small rooms // outdated - high prices for everything

Everything! Can't really put into the words how beautiful the location is... but the hotel is perfect. The staff are lovely and willing to help you, advice you etc at all times. The food in the restaurant is very good and portions are perfect to refuel after (or before) hiking. The facilities are great! Just what you need. Couldn't recommend more :)

Only little details is that there were no plugs in the room, just 2 USB entries and we were 4, but you can still charge things when at the restaurant etc, so no majoy issues. And no curtains in the room so we basically woke up as soon as it was bright (but the place is so beautiful and so many hikes to do that it's probably for the best anyway).

Great location by the lake. Amazing breakfast buffet with a lot of choice. Room was nice and bed comfy with access to big terrace. Dorm was quiet a there was only 2 of us in the room. Small kitchen available if you want to cook for yourself, otherwise buffet kitchen is available on site. Food was great quality and decent portion. There a communal room for people staying in the hostel.

Not many power sockets available in the room. Good showers as well but be warned that it is a shared space so no individual showers - might not suit if you are body shy!

Place is in a stunning setting, we were there for climbing. The shared rooms are fine, all you’d expect of bunk bedrooms. Bathrooms are ok. Most showers are shared, four people can shower at the same time in full view of each other which I’m not a fan of. The food and the staff are great. The breakfast is absolutely amazing!! overall really loved my time there and I would go back!

Didn’t love the shared showers. Didn’t love the sparse vegetarian options at dinner (plenty at brekkie, thank you!). The place can get VERY crowded as well, it’s mega touristy due to its location. Not a criticism but if you’re looking for a a quiet hut in the mountains, this is not it :) also, found it quite expensive for our budget.
