The staff was amazing. The breakfast was above expectations. The views were breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms are large with everything you need. There is a very calming and healing energy all over the premises. This is where you come to heal.

There was n bad smell in the room, and only two small windows to open. I'm sure if we took this up with the owner we would've been able to move rooms, but since we only stayed one night we remained in the room. The views were amazing, but walking to the beach is a challenge. It's very steep...definitely worth the view though.

Very welcoming. Garth, Natalie and team did everything to make our stay magical. Always on hand to answer any questions. Thank you also to Peter for cooking us a fabulous evening meal as well as all of those tasty breakfasts. The view is simply jaw-dropping. It is worth paying a bit extra for the Sunrise room if it is available.

Not a dislike, but there is the odd baboon in the area so important to close and lock your doors when you go out.

A serene, zen-like ambience has been created here by Garth and Natalie. If you are looking for quiet and comfortable surroundings that are still close to nature, including Penguins, the Cape and many beaches, I highly recommend Aqua Terra. Not to mention the wonderful breakfasts/brunches.

The location, the beach below and the infinity pool , the warm South African hospitality , the tasteful detail (eg bathroom products by a local artisan , good coffee , excellent breakfast by chef Peter ), and the all round experience .

Coral is a gorgeous room facing south but that means it gets a bit hot during the day- when the aircon works it should be fine .

The location overlooking False Bay is amazing - we kept the curtains open at night so we could look out over the sea from our bed and be woken by the rising sun the following morning. Aqua Terra is located a couple of Kms outside Simonstown but that wasn't a problem for us as we had a car (the only way you can reasonably stay here is if you have your own transport as it is situated high above the main road on the slopes of the mountain. Breakfast was particularly good and is served in bright, airy open plan room with dramatic views of the sea and mountains. The wildlife in the area is amazing, especially the sun birds, which love to feed from the protea bushes growing outside the accommodation. We would definitely stay here again.

Near boulders beach and the small town of Simons town. The view from the house is beautiful. The host was very welcoming and happy to help out and give recommendations (also easy instructions and communication via WhatsApp). The apartment was clean, we had a tv with Netflix, good internet and all the basics you need (shampoo, 2 water bottles etc). The place was in a safe guarded place. The staff was very kind, the breakfast has all needed.

Not much we didn’t like.

Superb views from our room, Sunrise. Lovely comfortable bed and linen. Very helpful hosts. If you wish for superb views over False Bay, this is the place to stay.

There was no provision to lessen the impact of Load Shedding, battery backup, etc. When the power went off, there was no running water for the shower or toilet. For a ZAR 5000 per night room, this is unacceptable. Power cuts have been around for a long time, and this issue should have been addressed way before now, especially at this price point.

A great location for exploring the southern Cape! Garath and Natalie were friendly hosts and made us feel very welcomed. Peter and all the staff were excellent. The views from the house are absolutely gorgeous!!

For safety reasons, we didn't use the pool as much as we had planned (there are no steps or ladder to get out and the tiles were extremely slippery, which is acknowledged by the owners to be fair). There is a local issue of poor baboon management that did negatively impact our experience of the area, unfortunately.

We stopped over after landing at Cape Town Int before driving around the Peninsular. The views are stunning, the property really impressive. The hosts are delightful, good kind folk, helpful and knowledgeable, I’d say perfect hosts! The team keep Aqua Terra in pristine condition and the attention to detail to gain best views has been carefully built into the property, with a particularly awesome sun rise view sat up in bed. The walk to nearest & very good restaurants and the penguin colony is not far, it took us aprox 20 mins, a steep walk up to the house which gets the heart pumping. or Uber option, 5 min drive. we loved our stay here.

Lovely host, and Peter looked after us, great breakfast, amazing views. Went to Boulders Beach saw the penguins, Cape Point is very near and well worth a visit. Golfers must play at Clovelly, 15 minutes away. Garth gave us a late check out , so we spent less time at the airport.
