The facilities, the different options for restaurants. Also the Location! It’s beautiful.

Staff were not friendly. We ended up in a room made for Disabled.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are confortable, staff are professional, food is also great.

There is need for more lighting in the room, the TV is too small and a bit old, also consider separating the shower from the bathtub. This is for room 005

The View. People/staff were super helpful and could not have been more charming. There was an amazing cheese and fruit platter plus wine waiting to receive me The view from the room was amazing and the room itself was spacious, beautiful and comfortable The location is perfect - close to shops, restaurants, and hikes along the beach front. I will return.

when I checked in, I did so alone. Booking.com does this thing where they change the number of people making the reservation. the hotle did not pick up on it and I was charged double. but I believe this is a booking.com issue - the site makes it incredibly difficult to alter or cancel something.

Room cleaning was not the best . Housekeepers seemed to only change the sheets and towels and not actually clean the room

The President lives up to the hype. It is a tremendous place. It offers an excellent location, a charmed history, and an outstanding building to its guests. I recommend it without reservation to anyone who is planning a trip to Cape Town. The location is a couple of hundred meters from the seafront and the esplanade/walkway/corniche there. The view from the front of the hotel is the ocean, and from the back of the hotel you see Signal Hill. A street with several restaurants and a very good grocery store is just a few hundred meters from the hotel. The room I was in was very large with a small useless balcony. It is a one-bedroom apartment with a sink, microwave, and refrigerator. The separate toilet and shower rooms are a nice idea, but the toilet room is so small that it was not a well executed idea. That said, I have no complaints about the room. The staff are fantastic and, to a person, helpful and friendly. The food at breakfast is fabulous. The food in the informal restaurant (there are three or four restaurants, but the informal ones sort of blend together) was not bad, but not exceptional in any way.

My only complaint about the hotel is poor responsiveness regarding a room change during my stay. The electricity went off in my room the middle of the first night I was there. The next morning, reception informed me that they would probably not be able to repair it and that most people on my floor were being moved to other rooms. Yet when I returned at about 1630h and went to my room, I had no electricity and no message about moving. I called reception and they confirmed that, yes, I would have to move. From that point, it still took over an hour for them to arrange another room for me. Remember that they are the ones who told ME that same morning that I would have to move, yet I had to remind them and then wait an hour after returning in order to do that.

Location was good, clean spacious room, clean linen, facilities top notch, staff was fantastic from check-in, it was my birthday and they prepared something nice on the house, including welcome drinks for me and my family. The pool area was good, the sea view from my balcony room also amazing. Proper hotel experience, room service and all. I will definitely return next time I'm in Cape Town.

Wifi kept on dropping. The shuttle to and from Camps Bay should be a bit longer in the afternoons. They drop you at 18:00 and fetch at 18:45, that's not near enough time to be at the beach or even eat at a restaurant there. For the 18:00 drop off collection should be at 20:00 minimum.

It would be really helpful to place the pillow options card on the bed for immediate use. The 1st night was awful as we had the wrong pillow. The food was a bit disappointing, compared to few years ago. It was very average and there was nothing interesting or outstanding or memorable. It would great to add a touch of sophistication to the food so that we could eat in instead of having to go out for food.

We stayed in President hotel for a week, last week. It’s a great hotel in the beautiful setting over looking the ocean. We booked a suite with beach view which was a very good size room with a small kitchenette and all the essentials one could need for a short trip. The beds were super comfortable. We slept very well. We could also enjoy the beautiful sunset from the comfort of our room. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. We also had light lunch and dinner here once and thoroughly enjoyed it. But the 10/10 score goes to staff. Each and everyone of them. From the check in desk to the porter to the breakfast ladies and gents , he concierge, as well as the guard at the gate. Each one of them makes every effort to make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much for the staff and that’s what make the President hotel truest wonderful place to stay.

Nothing really. Everything was excellent

My 2nd room was spacious with a spectacular view. The bed is very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and has a wonderful location. The staff were amazing! Breakfast was great - a great variety of foods. The restaurants all served great food. Room service was slow, but the food was good.

My first room, a disability room, was small. The bedding feels short and doesn't cover your shoulders unless you undo the entire bedding. The sofa in my 2nd bedroom needed a good vacuum. The towels will have to be replaced soon. The water takes a long time to heat up, and the water wasn't hot but warm.

The location was great, just a short walk to promenade and to a few cafes. The rooms were very clean as was the entire hotel. The service was great all round too.

Being a vegetarian, I was not happy with the breakfast buffet having baked beans and chicken sharing the same serving dish and one spoon for both. When mentioned it to the lady’s making omelette at the station they didnt seem to care at all and didn’t even offer a separate serving spoon until I asked. Their response was that it’s going to happen anywas. After speaking to the breakfast manager, she assured me that they will change it and thanked me for bringing it to her attention.
